Called about a leaking toilet. We provided the wax ring. We were told up front that we would be charged a trip charge of $59.00. After they arrived we were instructed to choose from 4 options on a tablet. The options were for different types of service related to what we needed done. The cheapest option was $198.00. This was an outrageous amount to pay for 15 minutes of work. A call was made to complain and the only option offered was to send someone back out and they would remove the toilet that they had just set and offer a refund. I'm appalled and will never recommend them. One star rating because a rating is required.

Do not call this company for a standard snaking of a drain. The schedule told me there would be a $59 trip charge, but didn't mention the tiered service levels I'd be offered for the job, ranging from $370 to $1200. Ridiculous! I sent him on his way and immediately called Roto Rooter, who charged me $117. The Clog Busters tech was very polite and I felt bad about getting riled up, but there's no way I'm paying triple cost to have my drain cleared.

BEWARE - Bait and switch tactics are employed by this company. Their sales pitch is to sell you a level of service plan and not to solve your issue. Because of the $160 trip fee, we felt compelled to use their service even though the situation felt deceptive. We were shown a tablet with 4 levels of service that we could select from in order to have them clear the clog - which you have to pay for before they'll do any work. The first option was $1,800, second approximately $1500, third around $1000, and fourth was $800! Then less than 2 weeks later the clog was back. We were told there would be a 1 year warranty on the option we chose, but when the clog came back we didn't bother. Totally feel scammed. Their options are time-based: once the alloted time (2 hours) has passed, they'll require you to pay for another option to continue. And when you talk to the office scheduler, they will not budge when you tell them this charge is unacceptable. They also charge a percentage of the option you chose as a credit card fee. They do NOT advise of any of these charges when you make an appointment. All they tell you is what the trip charge will be. I do NOT recommend this company! Issue NOT resolved. Do yourself a favor and find an actual plumber who can handle the situation!

Brian from Clog Busters responded promptly to a call to our home on the day after Thanksgiving. We had problems with two different toilets. Brian was a true professional. He was able to diagnosis the problems and resolve them in a timely manner. He was kind, polite and after he was gone, there was not evidence that he had even been there. What a great job.

This company approaches your drain clog like buying insurance. Their sales pitch is to sell you a level of service plan and not to solve your issue. Because of the $60 trip fee, I felt compelled to use their service even though the situation felt deceptive - but they're the ""professionals"" right. The least expensive option was called ""Bandaid"" and cost me over $500! Then less than 4 days later the clog was back :-( When I called to have them fix it, they wanted another $350 plus a $50 trip charge. Totally feel scammed. All I wanted was to have a professional come and clear the drain - technically that happened but for ONLY 4 days!!! I expected to at least have a conversation with the technician or owner to figure out the best way to resolve the situation but the office scheduler who doesn't even know the ""service plan"" breakdown or costs was expected to give me the message that it will be more money regardless. I do NOT recommend this company! Issue NOT resolved.

It thought it was too much
He then told me I had to pay a 59 dollar diagnostic fee for coming out just to take a picture of the drain I called them about
If they would have told me it starts at 258 dollars I woul have looked elsewhere and saved 59 dollars

BEWARE - Bait and switch tactics are employed by this company. I called to schedule having my drain cleared of a hair clog and expressly communicated what was needed. I asked what the charge would be for clearing a single drain and was told there was a $59.99 Inspection fee, and that if it was indeed a simple clog that needed to be cleared the charge would be $100 and the inspection fee would be waived, so I scheduled the work.

The technician arrived and verified - via ""inspection"" (turning on the water and letting it run) - that the drain was, in fact, clogged. He then proceeded to show me a tablet with 4 levels of service that I could select from in order to have them clear the clog. The first option was $1,000, second approximately $750, third around $500, and fourth was $200. I explained what I had been told over the phone and the technician said ""Oh, that option is if you simply want to pay our hourly rate. We charge $100 per half-hour - PLUS the inspection fee, so the $200 option is the better deal. He was rude about the explanation, and essentially gave me no real choice, so I paid the $200 and left him to clear the drain. THREE minutes later he announced the drain had been cleared and left. After seeing him out of the house I went to the bathroom in question and he had left the water running, but, the drain was clear.

I called the office to register a complaint about the cost. The person who answered the phone said she would talk to the owner/manager and that person would get back to me, but I have never heard from them.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from Clog Busters. They are unethical and will attempt to sell you services you don't need.
