Company Overview

For over five decades, ClearWater Plumbers has served as the trusted plumbing experts in Fort Worth. Get in touch with us today for any plumbing assistance!

In 1997, Jerry, Jeff, and Greg Longspaugh founded ClearWater Plumbing. The father, Jerry, had a background in home building in NW Fort Worth since 1970, with credentials as a Master Plumber, Master Electrician, and Professional Aerospace Engineer. The Longspaugh brothers spent their lives in the construction sector. Unfortunately, Greg died in a motorcycle crash, and Jerry faced health challenges.

Jeff and Amy Longspaugh revitalized the family business as ClearWater Plumbers in 2002. Our team has increased from just one to over 30 employees since that time. Each year, we work to elevate our service quality, making ClearWater Plumbers the top choice for both our clients and our team.

My home is older and I've been there 15 years. Plumbing problems come around several times a year, so, not my first rodeo. There was the slowest leak in a bathroom sink, it took a week to fill a bowl 1 inch. I admit I was careful. When they came in the older one crawled under and told me the sink was very old and the faucet not very good quality. He stepped out to his truck to get a price. He came back in with a price of $999.00 !!!!!!! I laughed at him and told him I would pay the service call fee of $30.00 and he could go. The second guy crawled under and found the leak, coming from the faucet. First guy then says $549.00. I invited them to leave again. Suddenly the price went to $150.00. I had grand kids coming for the weekend so I wrote the check. When they called to follow up I was so upset I thought best not to spend my frustration in full force. They promised to call me the following Monday. No call, no apology, no nothing. Trust is everything in a service company. Let me repeat I am at least a four service call a year customer. I could never trust them and am disappointed that after being promised a phone call no one even cared. The sink is just fine. I was lied to.

We used Clear Water Plumbers to install a new faucet and disposal after we had new counter tops installed in our kitchen. J.R. and Bret showed up on time and were friendly and did a good job. I will be using Clear Water Plumbers for all my plumbing needs.

Once again-I needed Clearwater plumbers and they were there. I requested Matt again. He's so knowledgeable and just a great person. He fixed my problem and it was NC Because it was still under warranty. It's so nice to have a great company like Clearwater plumbers who hire people like Matt and truly care about customer service. We will be loyal customers!!!

This was our second time to use Clearwater Plumbers. I called and Belinda said she could have someone out the same day. All of our toilets were leaking at the seals. Matt and JR called before arriving, which I appreciated. They assessed the problem and gave me options. They completely gutted and repaired all three toilets and I have a 2 year warranty, which I think is great. It was expensive but I know the work is quality. They were extremely knowledgeable and nice. We will definitley use them again. Very professional----and we also signed up for their Otter club which I feel very good about.

The faucet on my kitchen sink had low water pressure on the hot side so we called Clearwater after reading some reviews. Two guys came and looked around the house telling me we had galvanized pipes, which we do because we live in an old house, and told me my only option was to repipe the entire house which was going to cost $13k and that wouldn't even cover us having to repair all the damage they would cause like taking out Sheetrock and digging trenches through the yard.
While we know at some point this is probably something that we need to take care of but they NEVER even turned on the kitchen sink which was what I called about. I ended up having another plumber come out, he actually DID turn on the faucet and it turns out some little hardened piece of avocado or something got stuck in the screen. He took it out and the hot water pressure was back to normal. This is absolutely a lesson in doing your research and getting second opinions.

As an update, I was contacted by Clearwater to follow up after my review. They apologized and told me they would use the experience as a training opportunity and refunded my trip charge.

Update on last review-Clearwater was able to contract with DryZone in Irving to remove mold & repair dry wall. The work was done on time and no additional costs were added. Corey, Rebecca and Victor followed up and wanted to confirm our home is safe. The more experienced senior staff is best to work with (Matt) and when in doubt a service rep can always come out to double check any work before finalizing payment or approval. We appreciate being able to resolve this matter directly with ClearWater and the diligence that was shown to provide a quality finished product.

Shocked and very disappointed. I recently upgraded my kitchen with new granite counter tops, new under-mount sink, and a new pull-down faucet. In preparation for the granite install, my son disconnected the old faucet/plumbing and removed the disposal, which was going to be re-connected after the new sink install. I called two local plumbers, ClearWater and another licensed plumbing company to give me an estimate on installing the new faucet and to re-connect the disposal my son disconnected and removed.

I'm shocked! Apples to apples-: simply install a new, nothing special, kitchen faucet, AND re-attach the garbage disposal to the new sink. ClearWater's estimate was just over $1000 (which included a $26 trip charge that I paid at the time of the quote), and the other local plumbing company's quote was $393.00 (which did not include a trip charge because I was within their zip code). Obviously, I DID NOT hire ClearWater for the work.

I'm very disappointed! After seeing the huge difference in the quotes, I called ClearWater simply out of courtesy to inform them of the huge difference in their quote and to also ask them if their quote was a mistake (ClearWater's plumber used an iPad with pre-determined pricing for their quote, and the local plumber used the old fashion way, pen and bid sheet). ClearWater was sorry to hear that I was not going to be using them and also informed me that someone from their office was going to call me back after they looked at their bid. Well...it's been a few weeks since my call to ClearWater and I have yet to hear from them. I take a "no return call" only to mean one thing, that they stand behind their quote.

I've used ClearWater in the past for minor repairs, and I must admit that was happy with their quote and work. However, I cannot and will not do business with companies that do not return courtesy calls, nor offer fair and competitive pricing. I will NOT be calling or using ClearWater again!!

Sincerely,
Shocked and very disappointed!

Hang on to your wallet! These guys are very expensive, and some of them flat out incompetent. Yesterday they cleaned out our washing machine drain line. They did not reconnect everything correctly resulting in flooding in the utility room and kitchen. When I tried to contact them at 6 pm for help, I found out there is no emergency phone number on their invoice, website, or phone message machine for after hours help. I will not use them again at home or at work.

This is the second time I've called Clearwater for plumbing issues at our house. Each time they come out they are fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and they always have multiple options to choose from depending on the issue. Jeremy and Anthony came out this morning to replace our main water line and you would not even know they'd been here. My yard looks as good as it did before replacing the line. Call Clearwater! You won't regret it.
