Did a google search for heat duct cleaning in the area and these guys came up. Called their office and the girl on the phone said nope sorry we don't do that. I hung up, checked their website one more time because I felt crazy and read ""Air Duct Cleaning"" and ""Heating"" repairs. Called back and asked again ""so, you don't provide the services listed on your website?"" She said ""no, we don't at this time."" Uhhh.... I'm very confused. Edit your damn website if you don't offer those services anymore.

We got to our Tahoe vacation house Friday afternoon, and found that our thermostat had failed since the last time we were up. It was freezing in the house. Of course, it failed during the coldest week Tahoe has seen in some time. We found the toilets frozen solid. Fortunately, the water had been off, because when we turned on, water came pouring out of our first floor ceiling in the kitchen and bathroom. We quickly turned it off before too much damage was done. Too late to expect anyone to come out that evening, so we hunkered down without water for the evening. We used the interweb to find a plumber that worked weekends. We called but got the answering service.
We called Clark at 8 a.m. Saturday morning, and they said they could send someone out by 1 p.m. Receptionist was pleasant and courteous. Technician, Tom, showed up around 11 and procceded to look over the design of the house, where the water had poured through the ceiling and walls, and the best place to look for the break. It was obvious the break was in the upstairs walls or first floor ceiling, but where? Looked to me like it could have been in a number of places. Tom found the spot he thought would be the best place to start. He cut through the drywall in the bathroom ceiling, and BINGO, found a broken pipe. He proceeded to fix the break, then turned on the water, and quickly heard a second leak sraying inside the wall. He cut through the drywall and repaired the second break. He then turned the water on again, then checked the entire house, washing machine, bathrooms, etc, looking for additional leaks. Once convinced that everything was okay, he cleaned up the drywall mess and proceeded to replace our thermostat, and made sure the heater was working properly.
Tom was very knowledgeable, efficient, thorough, professional, and very clean. He put on and took off boot covers each time he entered or exited the house, placed tarps to make clean up easier, and vacuumed up after he was done. He was all done and gone by 1:30ish. The total cost for parts and labor was very reasonable and service was excellent. We would not hesitate to call them again.

Very disappointed. We called for an estimate to fix a few things while our new house was in escrow. The estimate was for about $1500. Most of the other quotes were in the $350 - $1000 range.
After some time went by we got a bill in the mail for $90 for writing us an estimate. Seriously?!?!?!? We were never told that getting an estimate would cost money and we never signed any invoice or anything. Despite that, they keep calling and asking when we are going to pay.
I recommend Rudy's Plumbing, Bob's Plumbing, Drew's Plumbing or Nixon. Avoid Clark!!!!

We had Clark out to our cabin to service our heater. It was working fine before they came out, and it has not worked since. They came out for a follow up, but misdiagnosed the problem. They do not return phone calls and have completely denied that what they did caused the problem. I'm out $800 based on what they charged me, and I am going to have to pay another $8,000 for a new heater. I threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau, and they still never returned my calls. I had to make a special trip to Tahoe to winterize our cabin so the pipes didn't burst. We've been without heat for two weeks, and Clark has still not called me back. DO NOT use Clark under any circumstances.

I just had my furnace replaced by Clark Plumbing & Heating and they did a great job. They were on time, very clean and did a great job. And I'm saving on my Utilities!

Our furnace went out, and I was afraid we would need a new one. (Our furnace is 20 years old). Clark came out and changed an internal fuse that I didn't even know existed, showed me what to do if it ever happened again, and left a spare fuse for us. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is I'm not a fan of having a 2-3 hour window where I have to be home and waiting for them. That is my least favorite thing ever.

I am staying at our cabin in South Lake Tahoe with guests for the 4th of July holiday. When we arrived, there was low water pressure, and by the third day (4th of July) all the pressure was gone and there was no water at all in the house. This was a tough situation given that we had 5 adults and 7 kids staying here!
At 7:50am on July 5, I called Clark. The lady who answered told me someone would be in at 8:00am and would be dispatched to arrive between 8am and noon. At 8:05, a Clark truck pulled up. Dustin, the Clark plumber, was friendly and knowledgeable, and took care of the problem quickly.
I'm sure all of the Clark people are good, but if you're lucky enough to get Dustin, rest assured you'll be well taken care of.

Horrible customer service and not worth the time of day.
I had them come out 3 weeks ago to fix my shower and toilet because they continually kept backing up and over flowing. They came out, pulled the toilet, snaked the line and everything looked good. Sadly though, after I took a shower not more than 15min later the tub still wouldn't drain and then water started seeping from the toilet all over my bathroom floor.
When I called Clark back a couple of days later and told them about the problem they told me they would send somebody out to come check on it. NEVER HAPPENED!!!
I call again and their on-call technician calls back and says he'll be over within the allotted time-slot but never showed up. No phone call, no knock on the door, nothing. Then he calls 3 hours later to say he got caught up on a previous call and that he would be right over to check it out but because it's Sunday the labor rate is $178/hr and I have to pay him on the spot instead of having the bill mailed to my permanent home address because the house that has the problem is just a vacation home. He says that's something you have to take up with the office tomorrow 'cuz there's nothing he can do about it.
Total and complete BS if you ask me. You supposedly fixed the problem the first time you jackass, and now you want to charge me again?!?! I don't think so.
Best advice, find someone else. These guys are a scam.

I've had several bad encounters with them. I manage a few properties and I also work at a maintenance department so I deal with a lot of contractors, plumbers, repair specialists etc.
THIS time, I called to set up an estimate. The lady on the phone, was very difficult to deal with. It took her 5+ minutes to get my name, address, she didn't understand what I was trying to explain to her. She told me there will be a THREE hour window for them to come give give us a bid. I've called several Plumbers in town who were reliable enough to schedule a date/time and show up for various reasons - including this repair. I DIDN'T KNOW I CALLED CHARTER and would have to keep my schedule open for a 3 hour period... Well, even better, after the time they wasted yesterday, it's now 2:45 the day they were suppose to show up during that window and guess what... No Call, No Show! What a waste of my time. When I called to let them know, the lady smirked at me when I told her I wasn't too happy with their services. We deal with over 500 condo's - just seems like a bad way to do business.
The other most recent, negative experience I had with them, they ""fixed"" a furnace at one of the houses I manage. I showed up to check on it before people had arrive and it was 35 Degrees in the house - in the middle of winter. Luckily7 none of the pipes froze and burst! When I called the owners, they said Clark Plumbing was just there to fix it - I told him I was not surprised and it's not the first time I've had that happen with Clark Plumbing.
There are many good Plumbing Companies in SOuth Lake Tahoe, as a long time local with lots of experience using contractors, I stronly advise against them. They are also very over-priced.

I am pleasantly surprised by the service I was given by the folks at Clark!
I had read the 1 less than favorable review and wanted to think it was a mistake on one or more levels. Well since I had vistors coming and needed to know the furnace was working correctly I called them.
They sent over a technician and he troubleshot the furnace and found air passage had lint and dirt, cleaned it up and Im a happy homeowner!
I will call them next time without hesitation.
