I smelled a damp scent under my house. There was a visible puddle of water under the crawl space coming from the kitchen sink area.The first plumber I called was from a flyer left on my doorstep and stuck on my refrigerator for years in case I needed a plumber. Well, that day came and he was rude and pushy. I hung up on him and threw away the flyer. I looked on yelp and found Carlos at CJ Plumbing 5-Star rating. He answered my call within 2 rings and greeted with a pleasant and patient voice. He gave me a time and day he can come by with no hesitation. When he arrived with his brother and son, they were punctual, professional, and ready. In less than 2 hours they inspected the situation, found the problem, broke stucco, and found the galvanized pipe had cracked in two places. They replaced it and covered the hole nicely. I truly appreciate professional people who value their work and reputation. He was also reasonable a great bonus.

Highly recommend! I am not difficult, don't negotiate - if it feels reasonable and I get a trustworthy feeling from you, I am going to pick you. Had a minor job: from when we purchased the home, my existing water line to the fridge was old and soldered shut. Needed replacement with a new shutoff value to be operational. Received a couple quotes prior to CJ one near double, one a little higher than his price. However, his included drywall repair and installation. Beyond that, he came to do a quote but comes prepared with his crew to do it that moment - I WAS SHOCKED. What a treat. They were in an out, patch work as well, in an hour. We can now have ice and water (it's only been 6 years of delaying for me...).

As far as CJ and his team - he explains it all, efficient and - while my first meeting - seems to be a stand up guy. Hope I do not need a regular plumber, but will be mine go forward.

We had a problem with a backed up drain, and Carlos came out quickly, on time, and fixed it quickly. He also replaced a bath spout at that time, but unfortunately more problems arose with that area after he left. Once we informed him of the additional issues, he scheduled a second appointment and resolved that issue as well, free of charge!

UPDATE:
We have had several other plumbing issues- main sewer backup with resultant leak in bathroom, unknown leak in downstairs bathroom and even questions on other plumbing issues and I stand by my 5 star review of Carlos. If anything I would give 10 stars. Carlos went above and beyond to not only help fix any problems but also to provide advice on how to prevent future problems. We also had a questions and concerns about some pipes and Carlos took the time to answer all my questions and to reassure me and tell me how to deal with any problems that might arise. Carlos has truly been wonderful and I cannot say enough good things about him and his service. Anyone with any plumbing questions or issues should contact him immediate

Update:
Once again, Carlos to the rescue. We had a plugged up toilet due to toddler throwing his toy in. Carlos came in quickly, fixed the problem and did so efficiently and even cleaned up afterwards and gave us a fair price. He answered all my questions about potential problems in the future or things to look for as well. I would never use another plumber ever and would encourage anyone with plumbing issues to give him a call!

Carlos is our go-to plumber for everything. We've been using him for about 5 or 6 years now and he has never failed us. In the past, when we've dealt with clogging issues, our plumbers have come, fixed the problem and left. Carlos is the first to give us advice on how to keep the pipes clean ourselves and once spent a lot of time (an hour) diagnosing our problem in a very very old bathroom without being paid a cent for that time or having gotten any kind of commitment from us that we were going to do the job. We always feel like he's trying to take good care of our plumbing for us instead of just trying to take out money. Any job that does need to be done, we never feel pressured from him to do, and he'll even sometimes tell us if a job is something we could probably handle on our own if we wanted to save money. We fully trust Carlos and will always be going to him for all our plumbing needs!

I had my main water line replaced by Carlos around a year ago (you can see my earlier review) and I recently thought that he might have done a shoddy job as I thought my main water line was leaking again. Fortunately, I was wrong and wanted to write a review of the service I received after calling him.

What I like about Carlos is that he's always so easy to reach. I've called him about another issue, so this is the 3rd time I've called him and he's always available by phone and always professional. This time when I called, he immediately came over with his crew within 15 minutes. I was fortunate that he was in the area.

He started to check his main water line and really took the time to inspect everything and offer possible reasons why I might see what I thought was a water leak. Eventually, we looked at the meter together and it was obvious that the leak wasn't due to his main water line, but something else. If it was his main water line, I know he was willing to dig it up and correct it as he was already speaking about doing this, but he took a step back and reassessed the situation.

Carlos is always professional and seems to always think critically and intelligently to make sure you get the right service, while trying to explain the situation to you so you also have a better understanding. There's a reason that almost all his reviews have 5 stars because his service so far has been impeccable.

Had a leak in the main water line. Carlos did a fantastic job in fixing the problem. He reran new lines and everything works great now. We're no longer wasting water. He was prompt and completed the job quickly.

Carlos is my go to plumber now. Earlier this year our water heater broke leaving us with no warm water for showers! Carlos is always quick to respond, extremely communicative, educational (explains exactly what is wrong in a way we understand lol) and very honest.
