I've worked with CJ Plumbing a handful of times recently, a couple of times for small projects like a leaking toilet and later a clogged toilet (due to a plastic toy my son flushed), and for a larger project when we needed to have our ejector pump replaced. Working with CJ Plumbing has always been painless. Dmitry has always been quickly to respond and schedule service, and Lenny has done great, tidy, and efficient work. Their prices are fair and they're in and out before I know it -- they're my go-to plumbers and I see no reason to call anybody else.

I read reviews of plumbers serving in Highland Park from several sources. On ""Yelp"" and other sites I read that CJ Plumbing Serving Highland Park, with the owner named Dmitry, was reasonable and helpful. I was very disappointed about my experience. They charge $275 an hour, minimum charge it seems is $275.00. The shower faucet had a slow drip. I contacted Delta Faucets and they sent me a replacement cartridge for free. CJ Plumbing sent out a plumber who took apart the valve and put in the new cartridge. He noticed that another part needed to be replaced so the repair would last. That took him perhaps 30 minutes. I did not know which part he needed but I was told he could find one and he bring it by on the way to or from work. It sounded like a simple matter.

After a month I received a call that they were able to get the part. They said it took them a lot of trips trying several supply houses to find it. They never contacted Delta which I had told them had the replacement parts. I asked if there was a charge and was told that the part was only $10 but they had to charge for one hours labor since they had to locate the part. It took the other plumber perhaps 10 minutes to replace this small plastic piece. I was charged another $275.00. I also realized that instead of spending a month's time looking for the small plastic piece- for $13 they could have purchased a new handle and just pushed it on. As nice as the people were who came to my house, I still cannot recommend CJ Plumbing.

We smelled gas in our home on a Thursday night. Nicor Gas came out and told us we had three gas leaks in our customer fuel line and our stove, water heater, and furnace. Then he turned off the gas so we could stay in our home. Now we had no working stove and no hot water. With a holiday on Monday we figured we wouldn't get everything fixed for days. But we called CJ Plumbing the next morning and Ivan arrived at 1:15 pm on the same day. In two hours he had everything fixed and then he unclogged the bathroom sink besides. He was polite, friendly, professional, and skilled. We were relieved and completely satisfied and we were able to host our Sunday dinner for 14 people. A really excellent experience!

We were doing a major remodeling of a 120 year old bathroom. Their work was perfect. They had important, very impactful design ideas that they shared and implemented very cost-effectively. They were cooperative, efficient, and whenever a problem came up, it was solved within an hour. They twisted their schedule around some unpredictabilities on our part. What else could one ask for?

Excellent experience with Dmitry and his team. They replaced all the water pipes in my 75-year-old Skokie home and did a great job and great price. They were professional and very focused on making sure everything worked correctly once they finished the job. I plan to have them back to add a bathroom in the basement and replace my water heater in the future.
