They are the worst. They asked for final payment before work was finished and threatened to lien the property within 2 weeks of sending final invoice when punch list items were still incomplete. Also, final invoice included work they didn't even do. They did not arrive on the job when promised and took twice as long as estimated. They do not understand the concept of bank inspections. They caused a month or more of delays in the final completion of the project. My project had to revolve around their schedule and they wouldn't work with other trades. They are rude, profane, and unprofessional.

We bought a house, and within a week of moving in everything turned to sh*t (literally, in some parts of the house). I called a bunch of other places, and CJ Plumbing was the only one who could make it out quickly. They were responsive over the phone and via text.

Then, when something that should've been simple got much more complicated due to the age of our home (we had a bad main valve), they stayed until the problem was fixed. All this, and at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this company.

Trust! I think trust is most important in choosing an expert to fix a problem. Of course experience, knowledge, ability and integrity are also needed. But trusting the reviews written by others or trusting the recommendation of a friend is sometimes all we have to go by. I had a clogged drain about 15 feet ""downstream"" from my kitchen sink. It was the result of overzealous use of the garbage disposal. I tried snaking the drain myself but the clog was too big (turns out about 2 feet of drain was totally blocked). I did research on several websites looking for a plumber in my area who I could trust to do the work right - at a fair price. I narrowed the list to 4 companies. At 7:15 PM on a weekday I called each of them. I got two answering services that could not answer any of my technical questions, another said they would have someone call me back ""in a few minutes"" (never happened) and then there was Dmitry. Dmitry is one of the owners of CJ Plumbing. He answered the phone himself. He was able to discuss my issue intelligently, explain the likely scenarios and give me an estimated price range (min and max) for the job. It was clear from his questions and his input that he understood the problem and knew the likely solutions. As it turns out, he was absolutely correct about the issue and what it would take to fix it. I wanted to consider what he said before making a commitment. He said I could call him back anytime in the next few hours. I called several hours later and again he answered the phone and we scheduled a visit for the following afternoon.

The plumber who showed up (not the person I spoke to) was a delight to work with. He was professional, polite, and patient as he answered my many questions. He tried a few ""easy"" options to fix the problem (e.g. using a powered drain snake). When those did not work he said the best option was to cut out the clogged section of drain (which he had located) and replace it with a new section of pipe. The clogged part of the pipe included two 90 degree bends. He removed that section and replaced the sharp bends with pairs of 45 degree bends to allow waste to pass through the more easily. The drain pipe ran along the ceiling of my unfinished basement so there was direct access to the pipe. After replacing the section of pipe he verified that there were no leaks and cleaned up the area of the basement where he worked as well as the area under the kitchen sink. He even cleaned the sink.

I was VERY pleased with his work and with his personality. The cost of the repair was within the range quoted on the phone (though near the higher end). My trust in CJ Plumbing was rewarded by their performance and their honesty. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and family. I recommend them to YOU.

I called CJ Plumbing when the sump pump in our 4 flat failed, received a call back from the owner immediately, and had the pump replaced within a couple hours. He (Dmitry) spent the time to ID the right size pump for the vertical clearance, and actually replaced the original with a more powerful pump based on the tech's input after arrival. Warranties and cost of the job were clearly explained upfront. This occurred during the Covid 19 crisis and the tech wore protective gear and sprayed alcohol on all surfaces he touched.

I highly recommend CJ Plumbing (Dmitry) . Speaking directly with a knowledgable, dedicated owner made it a lot simpler to understand, budget and get the repair done.

Had an ejector pump go out on a Saturday morning during the epidemic lockdown. CJ plumbing was able to get here within an hour to replace the pump. The tech was respectful of social distancing, complete with mask and gloves. Neat and tidy, friendly and professional. Straight forward reasonable transaction with no issues.

I can't imagine a better plumbing company. I first called them when water stopped draining down our kitchen sink. They came out, quickly diagnosed the problem, and cleared it. A few weeks later, when we noticed a leak coming from our closet ceiling, I called right away. They came out quickly again, diagnosed the exact problem, explained why the pipe had corroded, and repaired it with no time wasted. Unlike a lot of companies, these guys have always worked efficiently, accurately, cleanly, at reasonable rates, and got the job done right. This is the only plumber I'll call in the future. Thank you!

Okay, so being completely transparent, I didn't end up using them for my sink repair. But, I wanted to review just for the customer service. I called them this morning because I need to have the pipes fixed under my kitchen sink, as they're all corroded and have holes leaking everywhere. Dimitry asked me to send a picture of the issue so he could estimate it, which I did, and he called me back with a quote of $250-$275 to replace the 3 metal pipes with PVC. But, he openly said ""This isn't a hard job and you should just have a handyman do it, because any plumber will be way too expensive. Get a handyman who will cost $100 and you can use the savings to buy holiday gifts.""

So, A+ customer service for honesty and knowing that the price he quoted me was way more than what is actually needed. If I ever need major plumbing (or heating) work done (which hopefully won't ever be the case, but life happens), I would definitely call CJ Plumbing & Heating first.

I contacted Cahill for a leaky faucet. Unfortunately the plumber who came in damaged my sink but Mr. Cahill replaced it with no charge. The the plumber who came back to fix it charged me incorrectly. But Mr. Cahill eliminated the balance. While Cahill is expensive, clearly they care very much about their reputation, which is exemplary, and do everything in their power to make sure their customers are happy. I found them to be very kind and generous in their dealings with me.
