Recommended Customer Reviews

While they were a good choice for a new installation they are a terrible choice for getting service work or warranty work done.
Very dishonest.
Seems they like to salvage your Freon from your unit before repair. Then charge you a thousand dollars for new Freon. then put the same stuff back in.
The service man was embarrassed with what he was expected to do. I called his hand at it.
His orders comes from the dispatcher.
I will never use these people again.
Absolutely dishonest to the core.

They never contacted us back. I did inspect my parents home that they also installed ducts in, now that my own home has been destroyed by water(I have video and pictures and inspections that verify). They did the same to my parents. They bait and switches him with the same lines. Once they arrived for installation, they did the "oh there was a miscalculation, the quote was only for....". They had their ducts laying on hot pipes, on the floor of the attic, crimped around trusses and joists, no straps per codes and standards, wrong tape used, slits and tears all over, a leak so bad at the unit that you could see insulation flapping in the wind. They had a duct trunk of flex horseshoed down and back around for at least 50+ feet, including a Y that was corseted tighter than a Victorian high society lady's waist. My parents called them back. They did the usual double talk and I easedropped to see what they would tell older people who aren't knowledgeable. It was appalling. I intervened and tried to explain per ADC Standards and IECC what should be. And just explain overall how flex duct and hvac work(which I've tried over and over with them), but do not think it stuck. After work was "redone", I noticed they did hang it. But the adjustments were sloppy and sneaky. Not only did they needlessly cut a hole into the supply plenum, they didn't even use it. So it was hastily taped, leaving a major leak. One duct was totally left not sealed correctly at plenum. Corset waist still there. Major leaks at most Ys. And the passing off of old used duct as new. Old and used as in an old yellowed roach chewed label of a company no longer in business. Grey plastic lined duct known to split and disintegrate in hot attics of zone 2. Ripped with no insulation in a big chunk, all the way to the inner core. Old basic duct tape slapped around it, bugs long dead still stuck to the congealed heat rotted glue. Far into the attic, where my parents cannot go, duct runs of spliced old ductwork...2ft here, 3ft there..spliced together all over. Actual dripping condensation. Apparently, one of two twin rooms can only take a 4in dia flex while the other can take a 6. Same register and boot. Nearly the same sq ft area, 14x12 rooms. Again, stay away. I have pictures, both of what I found of their work initially AND their "quality" fixes after. Same goes for my own home. Another HVAC company replaced all of it in our home, we had to pay out of pocket. They did triple the work plus its all done completely right and to code for the same amount Churchs charged. Water mitigation took 5 days and now we have to rebuild most of the house

Worst - RIP OFFs - CRIMINALS is what they are.
Here is there scam - sent a technical and a very pretty blonde sales woman. Of course all the excuses on why parts will take so long and the age of unit is so OLD - 7 yrs isn't that old for AC.
They wanted $5500 Plus crane costs and of course they could do it tomorrow- but the replacement parts could take a "very long time to get here"
I had RIchmond Air come over - they had it done it 20 minutes!!! A minor part was needed and it was only $250.00 total!!
These guys are not honest and are looking for a very big paycheck and job.
Whenever a "sales" person comes with a technician- you know it's a big scam and problem.

Was given a free AC tune-up by my energy provider and after them cancelling my appointment 3 times the day of the appointment, I had to call them the day before the third one to confirm they would actually come out.
The technician was nice and on time, so I add a star for that. However, their tune up said they would clean my could, which the technician never even attempted. When I asked him if he cleaned them he said he could if I wanted, which made me think it was something they'd find a way to charge me for, so I declined.
Now for why I'm really annoyed - they quoted me a ridiculous amount to clean my primary condenser line. I declined. When I reached out to a competitor the same night, 4 separate contractors offered the same work for literally half of church services amount. All 4 were in the same ballpark. So I do agree with some of the reviews - church services is a rip-off. Pricing like that is definitely uncalled for in these times, when people already have issues with money. If it weren't for my provider offering this tune up, I would never have tried them, and I definitely won't be trying them again.

The experience with the company was terrible. Very overpriced!! This company took advantage of me!!
Called to get a non-emergency weekday appointment for a leaking bathtub dial plug.
Had to call back after hours when they did not respond with a call back. Finally I had to call again.
The time estimate was way off, the plumber couldn't have gotten here within their 2 hour range. Their tracking app was not accurate at all. Finally came late.
Then the simple part of a faucet core cost me $190. Simple part and installation.
Took the guy 5 minutes to install.
Ridiculously expensive.
I do not recommend this company.
The plumber was knowledgeable and nice but too many things were disappointing.
Call anyone else.

Reuben Tellez was absolutely the best HVAC professional. He was timely and friendly. He explained everything he did which showed how good he was at his job. I would definitely recommend Church Services with employees like Reuben

They worked on my a/c and a couple weeks later I had to replace everything
They hire people from Home Depot parking lot

UPDATE: a friend referred another AC company. The tech came and looked at unit and he diagnosed issue in 5 minutes. Also, gave us ZEROOOOOO issue with honoring warranty because of a scratched off serial #, he said that was absurd. He immediately went to get the part we needed, installed it, and we are now up and running. PSA: no brand new AC unit involved (*insert eyeroll*). What church's can learn from this is that being in business to HELP others and not just in business to make money will actually make you more money in the long run. Now i will refer all my friends and family to this other company as well as call them for all my future issues. I will also write them a glowing review for all to see versus having to spend 20 minutes writing this shitty review. I'm in sales too and i always treat people right in order to get the best reviews possible. As you can tell from my other reviews i am someone who ALWAYS leaves a positive review (not just someone who goes on and reviews when service is bad.) i can count on one hand the amount of bad reviews I've ever written, but Church's earned it!
If I could give this company negative stars, I would. My AC broke and we had a technician from Church Services come out to take a look. While our technician was extremely friendly, it is obvious whoever his boss is requires these guys to upsell customers. First they tried to tell us we needed a brand new AC (our current AC is one of the best units on market and is only 7 years old) - then once we turned that down they tried to tell us we needed multiple parts at a tune of $1900. Ridiculous. Luckily my husband is mechanically inclined and knew enough to know that we didn't need what we were being sold on. Then we pulled out our paperwork and realized we actually have 3 years left on our warranty- the prior owner left us receipts and every last piece of warranty documentation. Church's said because a serial number is scratched out on the unit that they would not honor the warranty because, "How did they know we didn't pay another company to come out and replace unit or do work on it and void the warranty?". Are you kidding me? Why on earth would anyone pay another company to replace an AC that has a warranty remaining on it? Makes ZERO sense. I am now convinced that they instruct their techs to erase this number when installing new units (in order to not honor warranties) so please be on the lookout if you did use this company in past. We ended up scanning the QR code on unit which popped up the serial # which matched our paperwork so that they couldn't decline to honor warranty. After all that they come back and tell us it's going to be $500 to install a new board. The hourly labor rate is $35 so please explain to me what is costing $500 here?
The crappiest part of all this is that we have an infant in the house. Our AC went out on one of the hottest days. Instead of doing the right thing and honoring our warranty, they left us with no AC all night and a 6 month old baby so that they could look into it and decide if they would still honor it (why they didn't tell us we could scan the QR code and find the serial # that way is another mystery. We figured that out by speaking with another AC guy from a different company).
We are going to suffer another night without AC just out of principle. I no longer trust this company and they lost my business. Pretty crappy if you ask me.
Side note: I mentioned it before and I'll mention it again because I don't want him to get in trouble, but the technician was nice. I believe he was just doing what he was told.
Like other reviewers below said: "Do your homework or spend the $$$$". These people will get you!

We had our AC installation with them. They were not good. Today our AC was not cooling. Under warranty. They replaced the capacitor (part under warranty) and charged $140/- Then they wanted us to buy their service contract for $180/- Then they said our evaporator coil needs to be replaced. Parts under warranty. Their charge $1750/- So I googled and the highest end service was $ 800/- Also they said that we sign with them. They will do it whenever----no guarantee of time. My own AC guy will do the job for $900 tomorrow. Do your homework, or spend $$$$$.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. My ac wasn't blowing cool air. They sent a technician out. He told me it would be 4,000 to replace my evaporator coil. Then he said I would need a new AC system. I asked him to leave. I had another company come out and do the job for $900.
