Shauna S.They sent a plumber out to do an estimate (our mistake because they charge $69 for that, which they say will be deducted from any work they do), and he then misdiagnosed our problem. He gave us a bid of $1700 to replace our shower pan. We didn't know what that should cost us so got a second opinion, finding out that the problem was under our sink instead. That cost $280 to fix. Needless to say, this one guy from Church Services didn't know what he was talking about, but he sure spent a lot of time telling us how their company would never try to talk a customer into work they didn't need! Buyer be aware and get a second opinion.
Catherine N.You would think for being one of the most expensive companies in town that they'd offer the best service and that's not what you're going to get when you go with Church Services. We initially used them for foundation work for 21 exterior piers and 3 interiors ,with no tunneling, no mud pumping backfill which ran $12K. They were fairly tidy and there was actual communications between us and the sales person (Kevin Cannon) who sold us on the work for foundation. So then they recommend you do a hydrostatic test which we did and apparently all the sub-slab piping had cracked and there was a crack at the connection to the city sewer line as well. We then chose to go with them again for the re-routing of our sewer lines and the addition of a new bathroom sewer lines. This is for a small 1400 sqft home with 2 bathrooms, 1 utility room, and a kitchen sink will also run you $12K. Kevin Cannon sold us on both the foundation and the sewer re-route. He "supposedly" left the company for bigger and better things as the text from his company phone says but when you call the front office they say he still actually works there. Communication responses completely ceased when he wanted to PUT IN WRITING disagreeing with me that they pulled the WRONG PERMIT. Mind you I'm standing in the city of west U office as they tell me that a permit is required and none was pulled. No apologies after that, it was just radio silence. Then they have crew members smoking on my property and sleeping on the job while I'm present and demoing for 10 hrs. They received a red tag on inspection (failed inspection) from the city AFTER finally pulling the correct permit. They didn't fill the lines with water to show no leakage in the new pipes they'd just done. I do believe common sense in even just proving to me the homeowner that you did something correctly to fix the initial problem of cracked and leaky pipes would be to fill it with water per inspection of new sewer lines. Then upon finally passing inspection, the excavation team to fill the trenches and restore the yard back to it's original state come to my house smoking pot and broke our main water valve. With no tool to turn the city water off we had to wait over an hr for it to be turned off. All while I had to call the company and tell them after everything that has gone wrong for them to not even know how to fix the problem, how to do go about resolving this situation. I told her to call the city and have them turn off the water, and then call the plumber out to repair the valve. So I'd highly CAUTION anyone who's ready to fork out 5 figures $$$$$ for a job and deal with a company that does not offer the 5 star service to justify the price tag. I personally have written communications, recorded calls, and videos if anyone would like them. DO NOT waste your time and money and use one of the other numerous companies who may actually communicate and apologize or offer the expertise you'd expect for a job you paid for. They won't apologize for the frustrations or trouble you've gone through either........yeah real great customer service.
Short and sweet...terrible service! Will NOT use again. All nice and friendly when they think they are getting money from you. Paid over $10k for new system upstairs. Came for annual service on both units. Advised on replacing older unit. Technician rigged unit not to work in hopes of a replacement. Will be reporting to BBB and any and all other outlets! Beware...very shady. Simply said not my fault and left. Very convenient that worked right up until they "checked" it out!
Also had estimate yesterday for ductwork and they came in over 50% higher than other reputable companies. What a shame!!!
Cathy S.Church Services installed new duct work in our home and did major damage and caused a huge leak. Now after 4 months of discussions regarding them making repairs, I have to hire an attorney to get this resolved. There is now mold in my home and I also have lung disease and should I become ill due to the mold, it could be fatal to me. I honestly thought they were going to do the right thing and repair what they damaged, but I found out today that they are going to do what they can do to get out of their responsibility. I never wanted it to go this far and only wanted them to make the repairs THAT THEY caused. I have been extremely stressed out about this and with great fear that the mold will cause me more harm than my lungs can take.
I needed to have a cracked three way light switch replaced and asked that a smart switch be used as the replacement. I provided the switch, all I needed was the labor. The technician stated it would cost $200 to replace the switch, which I think is absurdly expensive, but I agreed to proceed. The electrician took over 2 hours and could not do the job. He ended up breaking my old switches that were still in working order and replaced them with used and dirty old switches that were not even the same color and he didn't even replace them correctly so the switches stopped working.
I called Church Services about how they planned to fix what their technician broke and they failed to even return my call. I had to go out and call another electrician to fix the issue and I was left without a working kitchen light for 2 days while I waited for another electrician to come out.
Avoid this company! They are unprofessional and unreliable. They cannot fix a simple light switch and should definitely not be trusted with any work.
I have an old house and decided to completely re-plumb the house. It has been almost 4 months now and no problems. Everything works as it should.
The job was huge, it had work challenges, and it was priced reasonably.
Johnny completed the job as scheduled. He was amiable. Based on his experience; he made helpful suggestions on other aspects of my remodeling.
Thanks
The company VP called me and made everything right. He apologized and refunded my money. This was a real professional and shows that upper management is responsible and takes ownership.
Don't EVEN get me started on Church Services!!! Can't get appointments right, can't bring correct materials i.e. Filters, etc. Have tried 3 times this week to get it right and now I have had ENOUGH!!!! However, If you need a new $10,000 AC unit, they will be right out! Call Church Services at your own risk!!!!!
If I knew what I kind of company I'm going to deal with I will never hired them. They are unprofessional for what they are doing no experience what So ever. They never deliver what they promise
Do not call this company, no repairs unit to old $9,000.00 for a new unit. All Season AC came out repair unit within 90 minutes, Unit in good shape......do not call Church Services.
