Had a leak and Mario from Chosen was right on top of it. He was patient, spent the time to figure out what the problem was, explained it to me and fixed it, making sure that everything was working well before leaving. He is personable and professional. Chosen, themselves were very good. They set up the appointment right away and called after the fact to make sure everything was addressed. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Needed to get a water heater installed, negotiated a price of 2050 for a 50 gallon tank, which was a little higher than I wanted, but during the install, i needed pay 315 more, for a shut off valve replacement, which somehow broke during the installation. And this was not an option to get done elsewhere, I'd prefer to get a 2nd opinion, but was not given an option. If you want to negotiate a price and then get charged 15% more, then hire chosen rooter, I will not be using them again

They fixed the issue with our sink but did not come with a bucket so the plumber made us use multiple of our own pots and pans (which were filled with very gross / muddy water from other units). The plumber also left in the middle of the job to ""charge his phone"" and enlisted us to watch the sink drain, and empty the pot of water when full, which was both unprofessional and laborious for us. We were charged $450 for about 45 minutes of work.

There's never a convenient time for your tank to fail but I got lucky. I actually reached Chosen through yelp for a plumber and chose them because they responded very quickly and I actually got to speak with a real human about my problem (thank you for your kindness and patience Alex who answers the service calls). After I sheepishly turned down their service to wait for my home warranty company to call back, I got a message saying they were on their way. Turns out that my home warranty uses chosen as a vendor and I felt that I was in good hands again. They dispatched Jesus, a kind and personable soul who inspected the heater and assured me that he would be back. Fast forward to an hour or so later (on Mother's Day mind you) Daniel calls and sends jesus back and the new heater was installed, rubbish removed and basement as clean as I left it. I would not hesitate to use or recommend Chosen again. They saved us! And also their logo is literally CRAP (chosen rooter and plumbing) big points for that gem.

I've used Chosen Router & Plumbing before and they've always been prompt and communicative (text messages advising when your service person is on the way, etc). I also appreciate that they explore solutions with you rather than just tell you what needs to be done. For this service visit, Ramon was super-helpful in fixing the immediate problem, and also giving me suggestions on a more complicated issue that wasn't a pure plumbing problem. As others have noted, great communication and explanations.

Ethical plumbers? YES! Every time we've hired them they've saved us money by telling us we didn't need something done that we thought we did. They could've just done what we asked and taken the fees but every plumber that works for this great company has scruples and advises us well. We first used them as they were connected to a home warranty we were given and have used them every time since as we were both impressed with the speedy well done work, and their ethics. That's why they'll always get our business over the long term and our referrals as well. Plus, I love the acronym :)

Unfortunately, an inexperienced technician came out to assess the leak whom wasted my time, money, and left an awful stench in my kitchen.

I asked my home warranty to send someone to figure out the leak under the sink. It was a slow leak, but it was definitely leaking. I had a bucket underneath it to catch the water. When the technician came, he was nice and there was a language barrier.

He spent over half an hour looking for the leak. I'm not sure why he couldn't find it because I can touch it with my bare hands, and it was wet. As for him, he was wearing gloves, using my paper towels to feel for the leak. He ran the water to look for the leak for a really long time.

At the end, he said something like just call us back to reschedule. I felt like he didn't know what to look for or to do, mentioning something about the p-trap and to not put the bucket under the sink so he can see where the water lands under the sink. I told him, I felt the leak coming where the trap and the connectors are. And why would I knowingly create water damage on the bottom of my cabinet? Nothing made sense.

A few weeks later, I called Chosen to reschedule someone to come, they said to talk to the home warranty company. Home warranty said Chosen will not send another person unless I pay for another fee to send them out. At that point, I knew it would be a waste of time and money if they send me anyone from Chosen.

Instead, I had a different plumbing company come out to take a look (from the home warranty company), he found the leak instantly. He filled the sink with water instead of letting it run, which, by the way, Chosen's technician ran my water for over 15 minutes and left the worst cologne stench in my kitchen for over a week. I understand that you cannot always find a leak instantly, not at your first visit, sometimes even not at your second visit. Just the lack of experience and knowledge from the technician was off-putting and waste of my time and money.

Overall, I won't be using chosen again.

Needed water filter and faucet replaced and had a great experience w/ Chosen. Jesus was punctual, polite, and worked quickly. He took his time to explain to me what he was doing, and because he checked his work, noticed that there was a small issue and pointed it out to me immediately. Alex is extremely responsive and professional on the phone too.
