I called a few other handymen, and they were scheduling out 1 to 4 weeks! I called Chandler's Handyman Service, and he came out in a few hours.

I had a small job involving a gas line, which wasn't something I wanted to get involved with. It turns out that the previous homeowner (I haven't even moved in yet) did some scary stuff that didn't really make any sense, and I honestly don't know if it made the job easier or just weirder. Ishmael probably could have argued against doing what I asked, which involved a trip to the hardware store, but it made me feel better. And he came down on the price after completing the job. I thought he was personable, professional, and reasonable.

From the first phone call with Ishmael all the way through the final handshake, it was a professional experience every step of the way.

It was a big (to me) project to get rid of my old, undersized water heater and upgrade to a new tankless model, but he handled the bid, parts, labor, installation, and cleanup with calmness and total control while answering all my questions and meeting my high standards for quality work.

Did I mention he got it done in one day? And his helper and drywall guys were just as good and professional? And the price was significantly less than a couple other bids? Plus he found the time to fix a leaky angle stop under my kitchen sink!

Call him if you want to go tankless - he knows his stuff, and you'll never run out of hot water! And now my family of 5 can now all shower without having to plan it out with breaks in between to refill the old tank.

Well, I can't speak towards his work quality, but he was not helpful over the phone. I was trying to explain to him the details of what I needed to be fixed, and he was talking to another person off the phone at the same time! Either take a message and call me back, or talk to me directly, but don't try to have two conversations at the same time, please.

I've called Ishmael twice and been very pleased both times. Here's what happened:

Nov 2010: Just before Thanksgiving weekend, the gargage disposal died. Thanksgiving, people! We were naturally expecting company and obviously needed a functional kitchen. Called Ishmael on a Sunday and he came out within a couple of hours. Yes, you read that right. On a Sunday. Revived the disposal in about a minute.

Last night: Another kitchen sink issue. The disposal is running but the sink won't drain. Okay so it's not Thanksgiving, but when things we use all the time break it seems like the world is ending. Called Ishmael and he came out this morning. It was a clogged pipe which he again fixed in about a minute.

Ishmael is prompt, reasonably priced, and extremely friendly. Just a very nice guy who I will call again in a heartbeat the next time something breaks.

Well it's almost exactly 2 years later and the part that was replaced failed. Just doesn't seem right for plumbing parts.

I would recommend Chandlers Handyman service to anyone. He is customer service was outstanding and great work. We have had to issues with bathroom plumbing and both times he showed up same day and fixed the issues.

Chandler did a whole bath room remodel which included ripping the old bathroom down & putting in a brand new one

Hi price was one of the lower ones but did an excellent job to satisfaction

He also commited to one of the lowest times & even beat that by a day

Overall I'm very satisfied & would reccomend him without reservation

Service Performed on Sunday, Dec 19, 2010. Replace and install Garbage Disposal Unit. Ishmael Chandler arrived at the scheduled time, and was in and out in about 35 minutes. His skill in doing this kind of work was excellent. I had watched a Home Depot U-tube video on how to do it and Ishmael did it exactly like the video, except made it look easy. I cannot speak to his plubming or other electrical work he claims on his business card, but the Garbage Disposal installation service was good. Ben in San Jose
