Following up on my previous feedback, this update pertains to the store rather than the home plumbing repair service.

My partner and I have been to the store several times during the last few years. One time, my partner brought home a faucet that was "recommended" after showing a picture and discussing the problem with the team at Central Plumbing & Heating, and it ended up not fitting our sink. When we figured this out, we were unable to return the $150 faucet.

On other occasions, the prices at the store were excessively high! They must be joking. They must have a strategy to stay afloat with those costs for items that are available at lower prices elsewhere is that too many people in Anchorage are unaware.

We have decided not to return. We will buy our plumbing products at major retailers and/or online for a much lower cost, thanks.

My experience with the plumbing service is frustrating. I purchased a lavatory about a year and a half ago and the flushing mechanism failed.

I was advised to take it out and return it. How can a woman of 60 manage this? There is no help available here, and I received a defective toilet and they refuse to look at it without incurring further costs.

As a customer, I have been to Central Plumbing & Heating on numerous occasions. Every visit, the team have always been extremely supportive when it comes to locating what I need for my tasks. Typically, I possess a basic understanding about my requirements, and they guides me that fit my needs.

Support over the phone is reliable as well. In case they are too busy to take my call right away, they always get back to me afterwards if I want them to. It's nice to reach out to the parts counter prior to my visit to check that they have the items I require and how much it will cost me.

I was not very happy about this company. I required a component for my faucet and the company was out of it.

I encountered a frozen set screw in the handle and the price to have a technician to look at it came to $72/hour. I decided against it.

Maybe they would rate higher if I was in need of a plumber to come to my home. I'm not sure.

Their team will support you until both you and they are confident you are making progress, even if if your issue is resolved with a $2.98 part, they are okay with it, making it beneficial for your wallet.

However, if your plumbing issue is more complex, the plumbers at Central Plumbing & Heating will handle your situation and do it well.

Skilled plumbers are not low-cost, yet Central Plumbing & Heating is recognized for its expertise... so you should anticipate a bill higher than $2.98, however you can have confidence the task will be handled effectively in a timely manner. No worries here.

The staff showed excellent expertise in helping us to find a specific piece for the urgent plumbing issue, that can be challenging to obtain online or from big box stores!

I have come to the conclusion that I don't like plumbing. No positive experience has truly resulted from a contact to Central Plumbing & Heating... at least, nothing good for the wallet, anyway.

I used this company a couple of times for a few issues. One time, the fellow was waiting for parts, so he spent that lunch hour all cozy in my house and at the end of the job, proceeded to charge me for the time spent!

I understand that plumbers are consistently high-priced. However, during my last experience they came to the house, looked at the leak - one drip per minute, glanced at me and said, "I can't do anything - have the water company to shut the water off." He then charged me for a full hour and departed ($150 or so). About 2 minutes from the time he arrived to his departure, and we only reside a short distance from the business.

After that, I contacted another service provider - the technician arrived FOR A FREE ESTIMATE - and fixed the drip in the plumbing (had to slice the pipe and resolder, or {something|similar) within an hour and without having the water turned off. I could crack myself in the head for not noting that company's name! I'll repost if I manage to recall the awesome plumbing company.

I highly recommend you steer clear of Central Plumbing & Heating - they thoroughly stink.

The team went the heating supply shop to get some parts for my heater in the garage.

The staff were expert and courteous. It was enjoyable to do business with them.

They did not waste my time and offered the necessary components without delay.

Moreover, they provided advice for additional problems so I could make the most of my visit to Anchorage.

This summer, our experience with the customer service and expertise at Central Plumbing & Heating has been outstanding! Should I really change my five-star review to another five-star review? I don't think so, but I feel it's warranted because they are extremely helpful and genuinely great to work with!

Earlier this summer, we purchased everything we needed for gas heat and a wood stove for our new workshop build at our house. While researching and comparing prices, we learned about an annual sale, so we marked it on our calendar and bought everything sooner than necessary. It's always beneficial to save money! As we began to install the gorgeous wood stove and unpack, we noticed a dented 18" pipe, and I was concerned they might not replace it... yet they did without any issues. They expressed genuine regret for not inspecting the box before it left the store with us and for the inconvenience it caused.

Once we completed the installation, we chose to reinforce the pipe on the roof for added support. I called to get a quote and availability; they had what we needed in stock and were also cheaper than what Home Depot had on their site and we didn't have to wait two weeks for it to ship. As we entered, they greeted us using both their first and last names... AMAZING! There was playful banter back and forth and all was wonderful. We left with everything we needed, a 5% military discount, and smiles on our faces!
