I can't say enough good things about how much I appreciated the emergency week-end trouble shooting and repair made by Carter Services. Came home to water all over my kitchen floor coming from ceiling. It wasn't the roof, but rather the HVAC condenser was leaking...never even knew there was such a thing. Nearly 90 degree weather and had to turn the AC off or the leak just got worse. They were able to respond quickly less than an hour and half. Originally I thought the pump would have to be replaced, an luckily the service technician said he had one. However as it turned out, we didn't need it, the problem was that apparently when the new outside HVAC unit was installed, they didn't use adhesive to connect the pump to the hose that pushes the water outside, or to the emergency overflow sensor. So, turned out to be a much easier fix and no leaks. Not only was the service technician prompt, courteous, friendly and thorough, but he was honest about not needing to replace the pump. Over the years ,unfortunately on more than one occassion with various repair service, plumbing, HVAC, etc. I encountered more than a few companies that are not so honest about needing to replace or outrageous prices. And now I ONLY work with companies that I know are honest and do things right. Carter Services will be my go to for any future problems.

We have a Bosch Fridge still under warranty. This company was very easy to deal with. They came out the next day and the service person (Isaac) was great. Fixed the issue.

Bad company.

Technician came over and the washing machine turned on. He put in through the cycles and said nothing was wrong. I paid $98. He left and the machine would not turn back on. After some online digging the Samsung has three computer boards and the machine needed to have all three checked. Technician was not good nor up on these machines.

We called them and immediately were told that the technician fully inspected the machine (which he did not, panels are in the back and he worked solely on the front). Manager told us that he was there for 45 minutes per their records. He was here for 20-25 minutes and even said that he was now going to take my $98 in beer money and laughed.

They are very aggressive on a call back and extremely condescending.

We filed a claim with the credit card company and they clawed it back.

Apparently spending more time on paperwork than on your appliance is a good business plan.

The dagger was the 'too bad, you signed off on the paperwork with the tech and you have to pay'.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of calling Carter Services for an estimate to replace a gasket for a commercial freezer. They first insisted that we had to replace the whole door when the only problem was with the gasket coming loose. After explaining to the technician that we would not be purchasing a new door they finally gave us a quote to replace the gasket which was between 500-600 dollars. I called the freezer manufacturer to see how much a new gasket would cost through them and it came out to 43.16 and takes less than 10 minutes to install with no tools needed. Unless you want to be taken advantage of I recommend staying away from Carter Services

My 78 year old Mom's over the range microwave went out. So I called Carter. He showed up on time.
He came to the conclusion that the fan was bad. He puted me $576 to replace a $49 fan part. I told him my Mom was just squeaking by on Social Security and was barely getting by. He looked at me and said well, do you want to do this or not. So we just bought a new microwave for $300 and I installed it for $22. What is wrong with this company. Will never recommend or use Carter ever again. Do not call because it was $98 for him to tell me that it was going to be basically $600. What a JOKE!

It was extremely disappointing. I was told on the phone the assessment was going to be $89 to service refrig and since they were coming out to give me price on parts for my wolf range. I didn't ask for anything but to give me cost on a specific part for the range. Well they charged me $89 for frig assessment like I asked & agreed on, but they added another $60 fee for the frug plus charged me $60 to give me price for the part on the range. This am additional $120 on top of what was as I was going to be charged. I got screwed.

I had a stove that needed two igniters for two burners (as they could only be lit with a lighter), so I called Carter's. They charged me $98 to tell me it would be $1,000 to fix the stove. I told them I can buy a new stove for $500 and my used stove was only worth $250, so of course, I declined.

I bought the parts online (2 orifices that included the igniters) for $100 and my husband installed them, and the stove works great.

Don't waste your money paying $98 to get a crazy bid just so they can make $98 going house to house (making money with bids that be will declined, without having to do any work). Just look up the parts and repair videos first.
