Can't say enough good things about Carmine's!!They bailed us out of a bad situation from another HVAC company in the same town and in under 24 hours time !!!!
Cory P.I've been a long time customer and always had a service contract. Things operated like a top for many years, but it all seemed to start going downhill about a year ago. Carol used to answer the phones and she would proactively call me during each spring and fall for the regular tuneup. She always scheduled the appointments on days where she knew a tech was going to be in the area. It never took more than a week or two to schedule an appointment. Usually it was a few days. On a couple occasions it was same day or next day.
Then last fall I realized I never got the call from Carol and it was late fall. I called to schedule an appointment and they were booked a few weeks out. The appointment day came and went and nobody ever showed up. Turns out one of the techs died. So I tried to set up another appointment and they made me wait a few more weeks. By the time the tuneup happened, the heat had already been in use for weeks.
I figured maybe they were just having a rough time dealing with the death.
This spring I again received no call to remind me about the tuneup. When I called, I had to wait over a month for an appointment. The way I see it, it doesn't really matter how good the service techs are if this is how they treat contract customers. After they came for the spring tuneup, I decided not to renew the contract. They clearly don't have their act together anymore and I've lost faith that they could ever address an issue promptly. If it takes over a month to do a tuneup, I don't even want to know how long I'd have to wait to have them fix an actual problem.
As for the tuneup service itself, it's generally very good, although lately, I find them trying to upsell me on gadgets and stuff for my central AC. They are professional, wear the booties to avoid getting the carpet dirty, and they've been using a tablet computer to do the payment, which is worlds better than how they used to do it all by hand.
Still, I just can't get past the weeks of waiting for an appointment. I'd expect them to have resolved any staffing issues by now. I think I'm going to try another outfit in the fall.
Rebecca D.I called Carmine's for a tenants AC unit because they could come out the next day. They looked at it, didn't do anything, but promised a quote to fix it the next day and billed us $170 for coming out. Three and a half weeks later we still have not received a quote or status update, despite calling every other day.
Everytime I call (literally over 10 times) the receptionist says Carmine is on a call or unavailable and will call me back, which he's never done. Getting increasingly frustrated, I've asked for a refund if they can't or don't want to work on the system and have repeatedly requested the courtesy of a call back.
Call Carmine's if you're ok throwing a couple hundred dollars out the window for no help in fixing your system and terrible customer service.
I had an appointment @ 1:30pm when I called @ 3:30 I was told I was the next stop after several phone calls no one showed up! NOT HAPPY!!! No one even had the courtesy to call. My A/C is not working they are not heling ....
Having been a long time customer of Carmines, I called on May 29 to have my air conditioning unit fixed - made an appointment for May 31 at 8:30 AM as I was not available on May 30 due to a previously scheduled surgery. My a/c unit had a loose wire and something bouncing off the fans making a loud noise, but I did have a/c. On the afternoon of May 30, I received a call from the office stating that because I had a/c they had to tend to the people who did not have a/c first and would put me on a ""list"" and call me when they could come out. By the end of the day it started getting warm in my house, I went out to check and whatever was bouncing on the fan blades was now lodged between the blades not allowing them to turn, and the motor was very hot. I called and got the answering service and was told they could not page anyone because I was not a ""contract customer"". The next morning I called at 7:00 AM when they opened and told them now my a/c is not working and was told they could get someone maybe between 12:30 and 2:30. I called at 2:30 and was told there was a technician at a call, then another one scheduled before me and they could not guarantee I would receive service today... again because they give their ""contract customers"" priority. I did receive a call later in the day to say they could come out tomorrow... but I'm not going to trust that and it's going to be 80 degrees tomorrow. I called Dunnelly Heating and Air Conditioning and was told they could send someone over to look at it now. My review is that they do not honor their appointments if you are not a contract customer, and their customer service is non-existent. I will not do business with them again.

Had them come out to do a routine maintenance on HVAC. When ""technician"" left downstairs AC was broken. When they had a tech come out to take a look the next day he said we would have to pay for costly new parts and didn't believe it was their fault. Their office refused to return any of my calls. Turn on upstairs unit and thats not working. Tech never crewed on cap and lost all the refrigerant in the unit. Had to pay another HVAC to come out and replace refrigerant (which was EXPENSIVE). They sabatoged both systems to try and get us to pay for new unit. Would give a negative star if possible..
Alice B.I had an opportunity to meet with the owner and Artie in October to go over my grieviences from earlier this year as well as review past bills for work completed. They were attentive and told me there will be updates to the call service and billing from their office. I've been very satisfied with the techs that have come to my condo, and my grievience was mainly related to their follow-up on urgent calls for service.
I hope they will improve their call service and improve the follow-up with their customers. Lastly, I appreciate their gift of a one year service contract at no cost to me.

I had a good experience with this company. I have 2 Residential and 1 commercial pieces of real estate. It's hard too, because nothing comes cheap in this home improvement process. Overall good experience with Carmines Plumbing, Heating and Air. They really kept their initial promise in terms of discounting installation of new system. Also included a major Parts ""Only"" warranty for ten years for our particular inside and outside unit for the air and heat pump. Thanks again to all the people at Carmines. I will Definitely use your team again.

Made an appointment to have my AC repaired and it was cancelled the day of. Wasn't able to get another until 2 weeks later and they never showed up. I had to call to find out that they weren't coming. Very unprofessional and uncaring that I was unhappy about this.
Very happy to take my money to install a system or to clean ducts but apparently not willing to service unless you buy a contract. If this is the case don't take appointments!
Extremely rude. Don't keep appointments and call you crazy when you are trying to find out what's going on. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
