Great service and great staff - they accommodated my crazy schedule. I've used them in different locations for hot water heaters and also for some minor leaking pipes. Everytime they got the problem solved quickly and professionally. They dealt with all the permits and other nonsense. Don't search any further - call these guys!

He is the best plumber I have ever had at my house. I have had others in the past but he is my go to plumber from now on! Carmine and his workers are very knowledgeable and efficient. I have an OLD HOUSE I had a handicapped toilet installed to perfection, a heating pipe that was leaking repaired , faucets and shower head installed .Most importantly to me they cleaned up when they finished the job .They were professional from start to finish. His people did some work for me like unclogging a drain, but the guy himself is a jerk: he had an issue with me canceling his appointments two years ago and refused to work with me. Here is the story: I canceled appointments within an hour of setting them because both times I found people to take care of the issue right away while his appointments were for the next day. I needed to fix a heating for tenants, but I guess his appointments are more important than them freezing. His only cost was lifting his fat ass to reschedule.
Take your money elsewhere. he is a vindictive and ungrateful guy.

These guys are the BEST! They were referred to me by a friend and have done some great work in my house. Their guys have always gone the extra step every time I have needed their services including unfreezing some pipes during a blizzard at the last minute on a Friday evening AND checking out my furnace just to make sure everything's OK and I'd get through the winter. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

As someone who rarely writes negative reviews, I'll have to warn ANYONE considering hiring Carmine, the sole owner and operator of this chop shop. I called last week to which Carmine promised me he would come by WITHOUT charging for an initial fee. As he seemed so friendly, I thought I'd give him a try. This week when we're finally ready to schedule the appointment for tomorrow, guess what? All bets are off!

Carmine proceeded to ask to charge $150 initial consultation fee WHICH IS DOUBLE TO TRIPLE OTHERS' FEES in this area. Also, the condescending attitude DOES NOT HELP, CARMINE.

To top it off, he had the NERVE to say ""and I'll consider to apply it to the fixing cost, I MAY apply this as a credit"". Anyone with ANY experience hiring contractors knows that it is absolutely NORMAL and TO BE EXPECTED for the initial consultation fee to be applied to the actual project cost. That's just basic standard operating procedure for ANYONE IN BUSINESS.

I guess he figured I would be easy to fool! Read previous reviews and you'll see exactly why he chose to pick on me. Doesn't he know that the internet exists? Does he seriously think he's the only person I called?!

What a switch and bait ploy. To LIE to a potential customer is flat-out unacceptable and downright unprofessional. More importantly, it shows you what character this person has. I told him straight to his face ""I don't trust you, no way I'm hiring you for anything.""

BEWARE OF Carmine and his shenanigans! Don't let his fake demeanor fool you - he's just going to waste your time like he did mine. What a TOTAL FRAUD!

I have wholeheartedly recommended them to friends. My friends were as happy as I was with the service. Mr Aumenta and his employees have ALWAYS been courteous, professional, helpful and more than competent. I keepthe number on my cell phone - and that says a LOT!

Two Complaints.

Our boiler wasn't working so we called Carmine P Aumenta who we have used in the past. His employee originally spent two hours at our house and said he would return with a part. He returned, was here for an additional hour or two and then called another employee who came out to assist. We now had two employees here for another hour and a half to fix the problem. In total they spent about 7 hours at our house, leaving and returning. They replaced a switch and wire harness but then said the harness burned the transformer and then re-installed a new harness. The total charge for his visit was $1,400.00.

Mr. Aumenta said he checked with the manufacturer and was told this model had several complaints of shorting out. This information shouldn't have impacted the amount of time it took Mr. Aumenta's employees to diagnose and fix the problem.

Today our boiler went out again. We called a heating company, they were here for 40 minutes, replaced the thermal coupler, fixed the problem and charged us $140.00.

My complaint is Mr. Aumenta's employees took a total of seven hours to diagnose and repair a problem. I believe after two hours they should have called the manufacturer or Mr. Aumenta to determine what the problem was if they were unsure. If they were sure, why did it take so long to install a switch and harness (which comes as a one piece item). I also checked with the manufacturer and a distributor of this boiler and they did not have a record of any complaints of shorting out.

Finally, to purchase a new boiler, with the exact same model number is $17900.00. For an additional $300.00 I could have purchased a new boiler with a manufactures warranty.

Mr.Aumenta is difficult to deal with,he has a very poor customer attitude and is unwilling to listen to a customer, believes he is correct.

We also had Mr Aumenta's company out to fix a MAIN DRAIN PROBLEM, they snaked the line twice and left. After a short time the problem reappeared, they came back out and re-snaked the drain and told us if it happened again it was another problem, however both times they never cleaned out the floor drain which leads to the street. (This should always be done as part of a drain problem) We cleaned the floor drain ourselves finding piles and piles of stuff (toilet paper etc) that was blocking the flow from the house to the street. This visit cost us $240.00 for a job what was never done correctly and was doomed to failure and more calls to Mr. Aumenta ??

I managed a building in JC and used Carmine for twenty years, the work was expensive but good; then one day I asked him to fix a clogged drain and left my cellar door open and his workers kicked the interior door open, pushing the door off the frame. My husband asked him to pay for the damages and he refused.

Nice. Thousands and thousands of dollars I have given Carmine for services rendered, and his goons come over and break my house.

Good luck, Carmine, with your business model of pissing off long-time customers, and enjoy all your future hunting trips to Africa, which I will not be helping to finance.

Our toilet overflowed while we had out of town visitors. Carmine Plumbing came within a half an hour and fixed the problem. Ben was fantastic!! I would highly recommend Carmine P. Aumenta plumbing because they are honest, knowledgeable and professional. They know how to get the job done quickly and efficiently!
