We have used Carini Heating and Air Conditioning multiple times. Once in order to move our furnace to the attic and install A/C and once to move some A/C ducts in a soffit. On both occasions they were extremely professional and we were left with good experiences. We were very happy when upon inspection of the A/C install the City Inspector stated that he never had issues with Carini's work. We also received multiple quotes for the large task of moving the furnace and installing A/C and Carini was very competitive.
The on-site employees for Carini were extremely courteous and cleaned up after each day's work. We could not be happier with the service and end result when working with them.
Thanks to Gabe and Team!
Annie N.We hired Carini after a particularly frustrating experience with Sears. I won't go into to all the details, but instead of being up-front with our fairly complicated a/c situation, Sears just told me what I wanted to hear (that they could do an unattainably simple install). This meant about a month of delays, changed plans and false starts (they subcontract, btw). I returned to Gabriel at Carini, who confidently and professionally put together a plan and gave me a very fair quote. We live in a 1946 Spanish on a narrow property, and Gabriel's team did a great job of working with our unique constraints. The laborers worked really hard all day, did a nice clean-up, explained everything they had done, and were very courteous. Our system has performed perfectly, and we are very happy with our decision to hire these guys.
Sophia M.Carini Heating and Air Conditioning was prompt and fixed my problem right away!
I hired Carini to install new ducting in my home, service an old furnace, and replace a thermostat. I could not be home that day so I left them a key. The ducting and furnace are in the attic which is only accessible through the master bedroom closet. When I got home, the job was done and everything was spic and span. Not one thing in the closet was out of place, not one piece of debris was left behind, the thermostat was installed complete with instructions on how to use it.
They did not require payment until I inspected the job so I called the next morning with my credit card information. Who does that these days?
I am hiring Carini to install central air in my home next summer. They are great!
George M.Over the past 4+ years I've had three different companies and four service people come out to figure out what was wrong with my HVAC in my condo. None of them could figure out what was wrong, although they were more than happy to charge me for the visit. I saved my money, thinking I'd need to buy a new system to get it working, then called Carini Heating and Air. They sent out Bowen, a very professional and gifted tech. He figured out the problem in minutes, quoted a fair price and stuck to it. I can't recommend this company highly enough. It's amazing to have a working HVAC system after all this time.
Ellis B.I hired Carini Heating and Air Conditioning to install a two stage heating system at my house in North Park. The whole job was done professionally and at a competitive price, and included duct repair and replacement. The guys that did the installation were very courteous and on time, and the company was responsive from getting me an estimate quickly to responding to questions we had before and after the job. Carini didn't remove the asbestos, but coordinated that work with an abatement company, and they also gave me service on the air conditioning condenser outside.
Ryan F.Gabriel, the owner, came out to job and asked all the right questions of what we wanted to get accomplished. He then gave his input on how to accomplish the task. He then drew up a detailed game plan to address the issues from start to finish.
He was very punctual, friendly and knowledgeable...also passionate about the quality of work they provide.
As promised, our quote/estimates were emailed and detailed the work to be done .
Carini met our deadline of 2 days.
Thanks
Warren B.Overall, very unprofessional. They charge $85 for an estimate, which is fine. After the estimate, they said not to worry about the $85 but to let them know if I wanted to have the work done. I thought that was generous and continued to consider them for the work.
The following week Doug called me twice to see when I wanted to get started on the work that was estimated on. I told him that maybe I would be interested in two weeks as I still needed to get other estimates for a job that was in the $2000 range. Doug called me back promptly to inform that if I was going to wait two weeks, then they would have to collect the $85 for the estimate. This message was left on my voicemail. Like everyone, I am extremely busy, and certainly don't need businesses calling me and telling me I owe them money, especially when I was told differently right after the estimate was completed. I then left a message after hours letting them know of our original agreement. 7:30 the next morning, Doug calls me and leaves a message that they would need the $85 and I must have misunderstood the original understanding. I called him back 2 hours later to promptly give him my credit card info to pay the $85 for the estimate and asked them never to call me ever again.
Even after I explained about what the technician said about the $85, Doug still wanted to argue about it. Paying the $85 alone was worth never hearing from Carini Heating and Air Conditioning ever again.
For what its worth, the technician that visited my home seemed knowledgable and appeared to have the customer's best interest in mind. Too bad the manager didn't. I will be hiring a different company for a fairly sizable job.
A couple of months ago I signed up to have a contractor come and perform an ac tuneup. When he came out, he didn't do the ac tuneup, but instead took a quick look at my furnace and said I needed a new one. Being a bit suspicious, and quite disappointed about having to shell out for a new heating system, I called a few other HVAC companies for their opinions. Most of them were happy to give a quote for the new system, but not Gabriel from Carini's. He took all the necessary notes and measurements for providing a bid, but then said he didn't really think I needed a new system. Instead he referred me to his service dept, and suggested a simple maintenance job would put me back in good shape.
After the first 5 minutes of meeting him, I was already feeling good about the company. But after seeing how honest they were, and how they were interested in the long term relationship, not the quick sale, I was even more impressed.
I haven't had any worked performed yet, but the first impressions were very positive. Carini's comes across as a knowledgable, customer oriented, HONEST contractor - and those are very hard to find. I would definitely recommend giving them a call.
We bought a ""fixer"" house a few years ago, with an existing forced air furnace that had seen better days. It was rusted through and didn't work.
We suffered through two summers with a little window air conditioner, and two winters with a fireplace and space heater. It was livable, but not much fun on very hot or very cold days.
Being familiar with industrial climate control systems, but knowing nothing about residential ones, I turned to Google and got quotes from Carini and another local shop with good reviews.
The other local shop couldn't free somebody up for a week, while Gabriel from Carini was out the next day. He did a walk-through, inspected what was left of the existing system, and had me a quote within a day.
When the other company finally quoted me, they were several hundred dollars higher for lesser equipment, and had suggested putting a large hole in the floor in the middle of my hallway for a new return air shaft. The Carini guys suggested a much better solution that involved using an existing wall return and putting a much smaller hole in my pantry -- much more elegant.
After everything was teed up, they worked for two days and left at the end of the second with a perfectly working system, no mess, no fuss. They were very professional and courteous. I never expect much from contractors but I was pleasantly surprised by these guys... They did a solid job on time, on budget, and didn't leave me with a mess.
For what it is worth, everyone I worked with was very honest about the pros and cons of each system, options for us to choose, and how they stacked up against the competition. This was a noticeable difference from the competing company who clearly seemed to be pushing an agenda and didn't appear to be knowledgeable about competing products (which turned out to be superior -- trust but verify!).
Coming home on a cold evening is now something to look forward to, and I can't wait for the first heat wave to fire this bad-boy A/C up!
