Recommended Customer Reviews

I'm very disappointed in Ace, in June, it's now September, I ordered 6 bag's of B&B charcoal, which was on sale in the monthly flyer, contacted Cannings and corporate Ace and no one can help me, only offered a refund, I ordered B&B because that's what I want to use, 3 months is a long time to wait.
VERY DISAPPOINTED

First I have to say that I primarily go to Cannings to source hard to find hardware and they've never let me down. Before Covid I would give Cannings 4 stars, but my recent trip was disappointing due to their casual non-adherence to Covid guidelines. Yes, wearing a mask is a pain, but you do what's necessary and you appreciate businesses that take this precaution seriously...makes you feel 'relatively' safe when you go in. There are two signs at the store prominently displayed at the entrance, one says ""NOTICE Face Mask Required for Entry"" and another says ""MUST Wear Face Masks in Store"". (Sunday Aug 3 2:45p.m.) No one expects a small business to monitor the door and stop people from entering without a mask, but employees, you would hope, would challenge them as they wander the store without a mask. BUT I saw one man doing just that, even had employees helping him without question. I also saw a man walk in without a mask and go right to the register, to pick up an order I believe, and the young lady behind the counter just went on like nothing was wrong, the transaction took a couple of minutes, another man walked up to the other register to assist, and neither one cared the man was without a mask...said nothing. What is really galling is that the male employee was wearing his own mask under his chin, covering nothing, and he is an employee! So yes, he is 'wearing a mask' but needs some training...and some discipline to help stopping the spread to his customers. I took pictures, but I guess this isn't FB haha, so the employees in question will be anonymous, but I, for one, will take my business somewhere else where I feel safer, to a business that does more than pay lip service to a pandemic with a couple of signs in the doorway.

Awful customer service here by two Male employees. Exceptionally rude bad behavior by a slender old man who looked barely presentable and scraggly. Just slouched behind the counter and looked disgusted when I asked if they had an advertised sale item. Impatiently said what you see is what we have and said the sale item was sold out (turned out there were several left). Did not want to assist or help in any way. Only the female employee was courteous and professional. The older guy wasn't worth his salt and will cause this place to lose customers. I know I will never go back.

prompt on time delivery and friendly staff delivered my new Weber grille

I have literally stopped going to Home Depot and Lowe's for my hardware needs because it gets old having people tell you, ""It's not my department"" or ""Well, you can try using this or that."" Canning's is all about old fashioned customer service and there aren't too many items they don't have. Not only that, a knowledgeable human being will actually help you find what you need and explain how to fix it! A new concept in 2020. One of their employees,"" D.J."" is the absolute best as far as customer service, helpful suggestions, and just plain willing to solve whatever hardware or project dilemma you have. I am a customer for life!

Price Price gouge during the COVID-19 for things that people need for every day safety and they have raised the prices super high were nobody can afford them for those people that are not working at this time. that shouldn't be allowed !!!!!!

I went today to buy some things . And people in line were not 6 feet apart . This place is not safe and comfortable to shop at . I suggest Home Depot to get things from employees make sure everyone is 6 feet apart .

I never post reviews about horrible customer service when I have yet to visit the facility but in this case I felt the need to say something. I just got off the phone with the Manager I believe her name was Sylvia regarding a few questions about a purchase I wanted to proceed with at their store. First she was not aware of some information regarding the credit process with one of their creditors. When I proceeded to try to explain this to her she immediately had a change in tone and attitude letting me know that I was wrong and what I was telling her was incorrect. What she should've said was that she wasn't aware of that process and maybe she could look into it for me. But she proceeded with the ""I'm right, you're wrong attitude"" and proceeded to let me know that by speaking over me when I asked another question. Frustrated by a customer calling asking a question happens in retail and as a manager she should know how to better handle the situation. The frustrating part for me is that I've never been to the store i was given the info from the creditor and was told they would accept my card and that they are an approved retailer. None the less I think she may need to get more customer service training so that this never happens to anyone else. I will definitely not be giving them my money and will look for other Ace store to proceed with my transaction. Shame on you especially in these trying times for you to loose business in that matter.

The employees in this place are always polite, helpful and knowledgeable. It's a convenient spot in La Habra to get everything you need.

This place has it all! I load up on Traeger Supplies here, often! Staff is super friendly!!!!
