For a quick stop to get duplicate keys, some BBQ supplies or hardware, Cannings is a MUCH BETTER alternative to Lowes or Home Depot. The prices are similar and the guys working here give good advice.

Their sale items are reasonably priced and there's often a good or better selection than other stores.

I'm a Yeti guy. I have a 110, cooler locks, a rambler and my kids have the kids ramblers. I was blown away with their in stock choices of Yeti products. Likewise with Blackstone griddle accessories. And Weber barbecue accessories. And Mr. Heater Buddy accessories. And, well you get the picture.

I like supporting the little guy and local businesses and there's just something about going into an old fashioned hardware store that makes the visit more interesting than a big box store.

When it comes time for Christmas, Ace Hardware is where we get our annual Hallmark ornament. We usually go to Fullerton, but this year, we're coming here.

I just have to make sure my wife is with me and I happen to leave her in the Yeti section... hint, hint...

I get it big box stores have it all. But come on nothing compares to have access to someone with years of experience that can actually help your project. Cleaned a sink drain, installed a new faucet, and replaced the fittings. Well hours rebuilding everything trying to reuse the fittings. No joy leak after leak. So went in to Cannings, found like like fittings and decided to ask the question will this leak ? Sure enough he said I can see you will need a reduction washer going from 1 1/2 to 1 1/4. Took me all about 15mins to put it back together and guess what no leaks !!! Cannings has the experience to help !!

This place is great. The staff is always super helpful and they have a huge supply of nuts, bolts, washers, anchors etc. You may pay a little bit more here than a large box store, but the staff is extremely knowledgeable and I feel you're paying for the service you're receiving.

Thanks for accepting and processing my return! I bought Christmas lights in December and I was trying to return it at the original store I bought it from (ACE Fullerton) but they made up some baloney about having a no return policy for Christmas products. Lol. Don't shop there. Go to this La Habra location: Cannings Ace Hardware.

terrible customer service. people in there are never really friendly and I recently was on hold for 20 minutes when I was simply asking if they had a certain tape measure.

There's just a ton of stuff in this little store!! Every nook and cranny is stuffed full of things to purchase. Tools, BBQ items, holiday, light bulbs, cleaning product, novelty gifts, I mean... wow!

We've been shopping at this little gem for many, many years. I remember coming here with my dad when I was little... and I'm old!

It seems pretty divey when you walk in, but the more you look the more you like! I feel like each time I've shopped at Cannings, they've got what I needed where other big box chains did not. Plus, shopping here makes me feel more like I'm supporting my local community, which that feeling can't be beat.

Prices are comparable if not better than other hardware stores too.

This review is based on the bbq section of the store. The store overall is small but very well stocked. You will definitely find a huge selection of pellets and lump charcoal. However their selection of briquettes and wood chunks & chips is severely lacking. I was happy to find one bag of 17lb B&B oak briquettes that I had never seen before so I swooped it up. I browsed the rubs section and saw they were mostly priced $10 and over. Pretty pricey compared to what I've seen them elsewhere. I'm giving this place only a three stars mostly because I'm a briquette guy. Here's hoping they expand their briquette selection soon.

Very good hardware store. Has almost everything you need.
They have the best nuts and bolts selection I have seen within 15 miles and East of Los Angeles.
Chrome, Stainless, brass, security. Large and small
Everything and the best selection.
The employees are good and willing to help.
DJ is a BEST and a wealth of knowledge.
