Called to have a plumber come out and fix a leak that was in the garage. The plumber showed up, assessed the situation and informed us that he could repair the leak going through our garage. A huge hole was cut into the wall of the garage and the pipes were made accessible. The plumber decided that instead of cutting a notch into the piece of wood on the foundation, he decided to cut through our dinning room wall, molding to lift up the pipe and repair it. This avenue he decided on was never discussed with us. So he proceeded to cut through our wall and into our wood molding to be able to reach his hand through the floor to lift the piece of pipe. Once we saw this was taking place we stopped the work and began discussing this with the plumber, calmly. When addressing our concerns, the plumber got agitated and informed us that the issue was his error, he would have the company send someone out to repair the hole in our wall and was leaving without finishing up the repair to the pipe because he was too stressed out. I have the conversation between the plumber and ourselves recorded. I phoned the company and spoke with the receptionist and informed her of our problem. She said that she was going to assess the pics the plumber took and have someone come out and fix the hole in our wall and damaged molding. We know that this will not be completed to the current state of the wall and molding. Regarding the repair to our hot water line, she said they will not be sending anyone to make the repair. This clearly is a very shoddy and unprofessional company and I truly hope that future customers take this as a warning and do not use this company for any plumbing repairs to their home.

Rudy was excellent. I had an emergency blocked main pipe that had caused a significant amount of water to pool in my lower level. Called CalTek and Rudy appeared within an hour. He worked unclogged the main pipe, restored everything and even helped to clean out a sink. He was professional, punctual, and helpful and I would certainly recommend him, and/or CalTek Plumbing.

1. Had plumbing issues November 24 2021.

2. The plumber came over at 9:00Pm. $200.00 just to walk in the door. (fair)

3. The main feed was backed up thus sewage was backing into both tubs in both bathrooms.

4. The plumber had to remove the toilet for access. $650.00 (standard)

5. The plumber snaked and the far bathroom cleared but the tub in the bathroom where he snaked did not.

6. He told us to put drano in that tub. Since it was the night before Thanksgiving , we let him go even though the job wasn't complete. We thought they would come back and finish the job if the drano didn't work.

7. They tried to tell us that feed to that tub was blocked, spoiler it wasn't. The water eventually went down, very slowly but eventually backed up again. Plus when taking showers, both tubs backed up. Flushing was slow too.

8. December 6 the issue fully showed itself again. This is not surprising because the job was not completed correctly the first time. Both tubs backed up again.

9. Called the plumber back. $250.00 (I removed the toilet myself)

10. The same plumber snaked the same toilet but this time both tubs cleared as all other water in the system cleared as well.

11. The plumber then said ""NOW IT IS All CLEARED"", implying it wasn't cleared the first time.

12. The plumber walked into our house without a mask, I found out he did so the first visit as well.

There is no doubt in my mind that on the 11/24 visit he did not do the job correctly. Maybe he was in a hurry because it was late and thanksgiving. Caltek office said the first visit wasn't guaranteed. Fair enough but how about doing the job correctly the first time? No guarantee of that either apparently.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and noticed the drain backing up in the kitchen sink and the sink in the garage. We gave Caltek a call. The technician, Rudy, arrived ahead of schedule and did a terrific job. After giving us a straightforward estimate, He quickly and cleanly ran the snake and found the problem. Very knowledgeable and polite.

My family and I had such an amazing experience with Rudy today. He was so polite and arrived right on time. We assumed the worst from the leaky pipes underneath the sink, but Rudy was able to find the problem in a matter of minutes. He tightened the faucet and solved our problems. We were so relieved that the problem was so simple, and he was really understanding. I won't hesitate to contact Caltek again for Rudy's help. Great customer service too, I got a response from Caltek within the hour and scheduled the estimate for the next morning, on a Saturday if you can believe it!! So impressed

I reached out to CalTek around 8:30 in the morning since my kitchen and master bedroom sinks weren't draining. A nice lady picked up the phone and said she could have some one out between 9:30 and 10:30am the same day and provide a free estimate.

The tech Jordan showed up around 10am and took a look at what was going on. He said that the main line was clogged and he could get it fixed and provided an estimate. He didn't have the right snake with him since the one he had was for a larger pipe. He explained using it on this clean out might damage it. He can pick up the right one back at the shop, but he has another house to stop at before he could return to fix our clog. Said he could be back around 12pm.

Around noon I got a call stating he was on his way. Jordan showed up at our doorstep around 12:10pm. About 20min later he was all done. Pipes unclogged and everything draining fine. Jordan stuck around as I asked him about thankless water heaters. He was super informative.

I definitely recommend CalTek based on our interactionsl w/ Jordan. He showed up on time, super polite, got the job done quickly, and even took the time to answer my questions.

Where do I begin....My garbage disposal went out and we tried replacing on our own due to it leaking. To my surprise my husband called this company on Thumbtack and they accepted right away. Once they arrived, they quoted over 700.00 to fix and replace the disposal along with the faucet. We had 2 options (faucets to pick from) both looked flimsy. However, due to the leak we picked one. After install, I noticed how cheap the faucet was but decided to deal with it. After 4 months, I decided no way, and it was faulty unit. I was told there was 1 year warranty...umm not, it was 70 days on the install and backed up by email by the company.

To make a long story short, we decided to ask for a install on a better quality unit and was quoted 250.00 with discounts included. My husband was not to happy seeing they where the ones who did the install and saw the issue after Rudy came back and understood I had to push the handle down hard just for the water to shut off. It would not last another 3 months. They said, call the manufacturer! Anyway, I found another contractor that treated my house like his own and was willing to do the install for 140.00. I have a new plumber for life. Someone, I can trust and not just another number. I believe now with patience and time, my new plumber would have did the first install under 500.00 bucks. My point, they charged me over 700 bucks for a poor quality unit that would not last for a year! The install took them only 40 minutes at most to install. Do the math on that! I would have ran to the store myself to buy a quality one than having them come back out to install a better quality one.

This company just lost a customer that would have been a valued customer for life. Never again. However, Rudy was very kind and friendly.

jordan came to my home to give estimate for water heater high pressure pop off valve replacement.estimate was 550 to 750 dollars to replace valve.replaced valve myself took 30 minutes and 15 dollars for valve.estimate was totally out of line.

They fixed the garbage disposal, but then the dishwasher and microwavw didn't work, had to get an electrician.
