We sought out a smaller, local, POC-owned business and were pleased to find CalTek. We had Jordan over to give us a quote on work that another big box company had recommended. We were refreshed and relieved by his philosophy and approach. He was transparent, kind and genuine. He encouraged us to DIY where possible and did not try to sell us anything. If and when we do need a plumber, we will 100% go to Jordan and. CalTek first.

So, Rudy showed up on time.....said it was gonna cost at first $420????
Then he went down to $375, then when I said 'No way"", he said he could go down to $350. This, for about 15-30 minutes of work. You're asking what he had to install? See photo. All I needed was the p-trap installed. The photo was my old one from a two basin sink. I installed the single sink, so basically I just needed a 'candy cane' looking p-trap going from the main drain to the garbage disposal. Ridiculoous price and a waste of my time.

5 Plumbing Companies responded to my request. 3 were contacted and came to my location to provide a quote. All 3 provided a verbal quote and CalTek was the only company to supply a written quote that was emailed to me. The other 2 companies said they would email quote but failed to do so. Of the 3 quotes, CalTek was the best priced and Rudy went in quite abit of detail how how he would complete the work request. I decided to go with CalTek, especially since the other 2 companies did not provide a written quote. Rudy and Jesus showed up within the requested window and went to work quickly. They worked together well and didn't mind me watching them work. An additional repair was needed that had been previously quoted, Rudy was able to give me a price on the spot and said he could do it the same day. Rudy and Jesus completed the original job and the additional job very efficiently and cleaned up as they worked. I was very pleased with their work and will use them again, if needed. I called them at 7:02 about a broken angle stop that was leaking and was told a tech would be out by 8pm. Jesus showed up at 7:40 and had the broke angle stop and new bathroom faucet in by 8:20. He made sure the area he worked in was cleaned up, and verified that it worked before he left. I highly recommend this company.

Although they weren't able to help with our specific issue, which turned out to be an appliance problem, this Women-owned business is extremely professional, we very friendly, and did not even charge us for the visit. That alone makes this a five star review, even without being able to help us. They will definitely be our first call when we do have a problem they can help with.
