This plumber charges outrageous prices! We had Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Pleasant Valley, NY install the drain plumbing for a new sink. They showed up when they said they would and did an adequate job. It took them only about 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete the job, since it was a very simple plumbing job. So I was shocked when I got the bill for $650! There was less than $50 worth of parts for the job, so this amounts to over $450 per hour for their work. They claim that they do not charge an hourly rate, only a flat fee for services. However, this is just their way of hiding their hourly rates so they don't have to reveal them to you. I called them to complain about this rate but got no action from the owner. Do not use this company unless you like paying outrageous prices.

Very respectful and clean crew came to run a new septic line in Rhinebeck. They were fast and efficient. I would highly recommend their services. Good price and with my 86 year old grandma they kept the time with no water/toilet usage to a minimum. Thanks

Many, many thanks to ""Bobby"" from Mr. Rooter who came out on a Sunday to help us with a septic problem. He is incredibly knowledgeable, very professional, polite and he did a thorough clean up after his 3+ hour work. He continued to be completely pleasant from the moment he arrived until he left. ?Septic problem over and done! Thanks Bobby and Mr. Rooter!

For the moment I called Alicia all things were good! She told she was gonna call a tech and call me right back. AND SHE DID! That never happens, I am an estate manager, I know. She gave me a window of time. Then Gary called a little later to say to the tech would be arriving within the hour. Robert quickly diagnosed the problem and explains everything he was gonna do and the cost. He then went about fixing the problem quickly and with a great attitude. For a man with a difficult job he was super nice. I really can't say enough about how impressed I was with this company. Well done Mr Rooter

The tech Shawn was very pleasant and professional. This is the second time I have used their services and I will use them again in the future. I would highly recommend them.

We had called Mr. Rooter after our well pipe had frozen, leaving us unable to feed water into the boiler & ultimately with no heat! They called back promptly and were able to service us. The technician, Jean, was polite & super helpful. He explained everything to us thoroughly and was able to replace the pipe as it was frozen solid! Would definitely use this company again!

I was very upset with mr. Rooter when they estimated to my neighbor, who is an elderly lady, that it would b over 700 dollars to install heating tape on a water line. Cannot believe they would charge so much for such a simple install. I was going to assist her with paying, bc she is on a fixed income, and extra expenses are tough to manage. But this blatant rip-off was mind-blowing. Would never call this company for any type of service, or repair.

I've been a ""Lifetime Member"" of Mr. Rooter for about ten years now and their service has always been amazing! Their technicians are friendly, professional, courteous, kind, and very neat (and if the work gets messy they do clean it all up!)! I've recommended them to many people over the years and will absolutely continue to do so! Everything from a leaky sink to replacing my sump pumps has been a top-notch job. :)
