I had a small natural gas leak in my old steel pipes under the driveway, and had several plumbers come out to bid. Joe came early and at the same time as another plumber. He graciously waited while the big name plumbers quickly looked it over and wrote up an estimate with the traditional idea to cut up the entire path of concrete from my meter to the house, which is 60 feet. Joe then described his approach to the problem, which was not to dig it all up, but use a boring tool to make a path under the driveway, and use high pressure yellow poly hose (continuous length with no connections like steel pipes). All it took was a 2'x2' cut out on house side, and a 2'x4' cutout where his tool would bore from at the meter. In addition, his estimate was well priced, and he was able to let me know my PVC water line to the house was old and pointed out it had burst before (we bought the house). I signed him on to do both jobs, and worked with him over the phone and text throughout the job. Joe and his crew were professional and neat and communicated well despite issues under the ground that need Dig Alert to come out and mark other lines so not to cause damage. They finished the job, and they really did leave it neater than they found it! The SoCal gas service man came out to inspect and turn on my gas (and hot water finally!) two hours after the job was done and concrete setting and said who ever did the job did a professional job, with new technology (boring under the driveway) and newer kinds of fittings (without threads). He said keep their number! Call Joe, his crew is great.

After having this company come out and complete a small job (4 hose bibs)...called them for a big job with lots of work. Estimator came out, and the next day sent the estimate with 1/3 of the job missing. Called back, got the same guy on the phone and sounded like we were bothering him, and said he would revise the estimate and get back to us. That was several weeks ago...the guy ghosted us for no reason whatsoever. A total contradiction from our first contact...we will not be using this company ever, and the one star is because we could not give them zero stars...definitely unreliable to deal with-

After a stressful night of going with one of the big name ""Been in service for over 55 YEARS"" type of company, California Drains came to the rescue. We had an emergency backup situation wherein our garage was flooding and showers backing up with sewage. The previously big name company arrived - wasted about an hour screwing around in my garage - only to call defeat and quote an additional $1,150 for hydrojetting. Suspecting foul play, I reached out to California Drains for a second option. Within 15 minutes of Joe being onsite he cleared my main line, provided a video and distance from the source location where we have root intrusion and upgraded our cleanout cap. If you have plumbing issues of any kind - don't waste your time and emotional well being. Call California Drains!

This company has been a life saver. It's not easy to find a reliable, prompt company with this level of expertise and honesty...but these guys are the real deal.

I had been having issues in my home with our lines being backed up, I had temporary solutions done previously because I was not sure of how to go about it, I called a couple plumbers to cone and check out the problem and it was uncomfortable from customer service to pricing simply because my questions were not being answered. California Drains came out to not only give me a free estimate but a walk through with a camera inspection to what was wrong. I had a lot of galvanized pipes that were making my home constantly back up. The team came out the next day to replace them, and I am so thankful it was done- now my home has the water flowing like I own a new home again!

We hired California Drains to help us add a new drain line along the side of our house to relocate our kitchen so we didn't have to cut into the post tension slab. Joe was quick to come take a look and bid our job, and was able to have his crews out as soon as we decided to go with them. They were very professional and hard-working. The job was tougher and took longer than we all expected, but Joe and his crews remained dedicated to completing the job. He brought in the necessary equipment and guys to finish the drain installation and put everything back like it never happened. If you need some work done, these guys can do a great job for a great price.
