My hot water heater quit working at the most inconvenient time. California Drains came right out and replaced the old one in just a few hours. About a week later the floor seal on my toilet began to fail. Again they came right out and fixed it. These were two major expenses and California Drains solved both promptly, effectively and were very clean. They are my plumbers for life.

I found this company through a google search when my water heater broke this morning ...they sent Joe Rameriz and he was here with a couple hours ... it was not the water heater but a pressure release value ... he fixed it within an hour ... he explained everything and was so easy to talk to ..... a bad day turned into a good day because now i have Joe Rameriz if anything goes wrong in my plumbing!!!!! THE BEST!!

It's super easy for me to strongly recommend California Drains ROOTER & PLUMBING, a fully licensed plumbing service company in my area.

On separate occasions, I hired California Drains for two projects: (1) bathroom repairs and (2) toilet replacement and installation. To be honest, I was 100% satisfied with their work in many ways.

For instance, the company was prompt and responsive to my phone inquiries about their services and pricing. As such, they were able to speed things up and finished my bathroom repairs on the same day I called for service.

Moreover, their technician was punctual, arriving at my house on schedule each time. I was really impressed by his high level of professionalism. I respect it.

Last but not least, their pricing was fair, honest, reasonable, and competitive. To wit, they actually charged me LESS than the prevailing market rates I had thoroughly researched. Every item ranging from estimates, quotes, parts to costs of labor was disclosed upfront and explained to me. Such pricing transparency is as refreshing as it is reassuring.

Good plumber; our new plumber!

We are very satisfied that we used Joe and California Drains for our backed up drains.

The drains of both our bathtub and shower were backed up with smelly, ,black, and icky sewer water. We tried clearing the clogs ourselves, but that just made it worse!

We called California Drains. Since it was an emergency, Joe (the Foreman) came out with one of his workers right away. The guy on the roof put the camera down the pipe and we could see what was going on! It was all on Joe's laptop. The technology was a big plus!

We could see roots growing into the pipe. And the pipe was badly corroded. This was plumbing from 1960, and was in really bad shape!!!

Joe started work the first chance he could--on Sunday, (2 days later). He was marvelous and kept everything going smoothly. Joe kept us up-to-date on what was going on. When he said he would do something, he really did it. Nothing fell through the cracks.

Joe has the most marvelous crew of hard-working men. They had to tunnel underneath our slab. Then they had to jackhammer into the slab. They weren't afraid of hard work!

Because the pipes were so corroded, we didn't want to take a chance of a pipe bursting underneath the house. Because we are on a slab, that would be ripping up the floor to fix it. We ended up doing under our house to the street. Many homes in our area are having the same issue--homes built in 1960s. I didn't like making this big decision on the spot, but it was the responsible thing to do.

Joe, found ways to save us money because this turned into a much bigger job. He used some extra materials from his office to save us some money. He fixed my husband's leaky toilet and helped fix our sprinklers while the guys were working.

He has also offered to talk to our insurance company. That's a big plus.

They fixed the problem without turning off the water for more than an hour. We had to be very careful how much water we put down the drain. But we were never without water for very long. I've heard horror stories about other companies, and water off for the day.

Our new home had no gas line for the stove since it was only ever electric. The water line for the refrigerator had no pressure. We called CA Drains and they fit us into their schedule last minute. Two days later we can finally use our new stove and have water to our refrigerator. They were friendly and professional and went above and beyond what we needed. If you want the best do not hesitate to call them!!

I had a small natural gas leak in my old steel pipes under the driveway, and had several plumbers come out to bid. Joe came early and at the same time as another plumber. He graciously waited while the big name plumbers quickly looked it over and wrote up an estimate with the traditional idea to cut up the entire path of concrete from my meter to the house, which is 60 feet. Joe then described his approach to the problem, which was not to dig it all up, but use a boring tool to make a path under the driveway, and use high pressure yellow poly hose (continuous length with no connections like steel pipes). All it took was a 2'x2' cut out on house side, and a 2'x4' cutout where his tool would bore from at the meter. In addition, his estimate was well priced, and he was able to let me know my PVC water line to the house was old and pointed out it had burst before (we bought the house). I signed him on to do both jobs, and worked with him over the phone and text throughout the job. Joe and his crew were professional and neat and communicated well despite issues under the ground that need Dig Alert to come out and mark other lines so not to cause damage. They finished the job, and they really did leave it neater than they found it! The SoCal gas service man came out to inspect and turn on my gas (and hot water finally!) two hours after the job was done and concrete setting and said who ever did the job did a professional job, with new technology (boring under the driveway) and newer kinds of fittings (without threads). He said keep their number! Call Joe, his crew is great.

After having this company come out and complete a small job (4 hose bibs)...called them for a big job with lots of work. Estimator came out, and the next day sent the estimate with 1/3 of the job missing. Called back, got the same guy on the phone and sounded like we were bothering him, and said he would revise the estimate and get back to us. That was several weeks ago...the guy ghosted us for no reason whatsoever. A total contradiction from our first contact...we will not be using this company ever, and the one star is because we could not give them zero stars...definitely unreliable to deal with-
