Working with this company has been a headache. Rene is great and very responsive, which is why we gave 2 stars, but Chris was completely unreachable, missed several appointments with no notice, and we had to call, text and email MULTIPLE times over weeks to just get our sewer lateral certificate sent months after our project. When I called to ask for any info they had regarding the depth of our sewer lateral for other projects, they had no records, documentation or info at all regarding the details of our project. Pretty unprofessional, we are seeking out other companies for our next plumbing project.

While I did feel that way at first, (I was about to go with another company before he messaged me after some time) the way he took care of everything from the replacement to the certificate made up for it.

Rene was very responsive, patient and helpful. He explained the process, had good communication throughout and his team was efficient. New sewer later in place in one day, hardly any mess in the yard - minor issue with the unfortunate death of some plants, but we have peace of mind of sturdy, long-lasting equipment. Other guys said 'we gotta dig it all up, it's going to cost $$' but CA Discount was able to fix it the easy way (barely any digging, put a new 2"" inside the old 3"") at a reasonable price. California Discount Rooter and Plumbing is a diamond in the rough. A well run small business, which means you get personal service and the best price. Rene (the owner) was responsive every step of the way. They took care of all the permitting, putting up signs to block off the street, EBMUD inspection and replacing the concrete they dug up. Rene took care of all the steps.

This was a great company to work with and I've recommended CDRP to my realtor so he can get more business. You should give him yours too.
