A great experience from beginning to end for installation of our Dekton countertops from California Countertops. Jill and Karley at the showroom were great to work with - I must have called them a dozen times with questions and updates. Templating and measurements were done with careful precision. Demo of our old countertop and installation of the new Dekton was done very professionally. In particular, California Countertop was very helpful with a late onsite modification to the counter to accommodate an appliance fit and came back to to take care of a repair due to damage an appliance installer had caused. Finished product looks awesome. Highly recommend!

Install was horrible IMO. I have had Corian installation before, and this was sub-par. So many details to point out, so my short review, is find others if it is Corian you are looking to install, as my review is just based on that. I kept getting from the field installer, ""I've been doing this for 18 years..."" which is red flag. as he was sloppy and quite frankly did shoddy work. So perhaps he is tired of doing what he is doing, or he never perfected his craft.

My last Corian Counter, for my same house, same basic footprint of kitchen was so amazing, but the installer retired so not an option. I had to replace the counter due to new cabinet replacement the footprint size grew in each direction by 1/2"" to 1"" on the sides. I just wished I had done more interviewing for counter install vendors. Since I could not re-use my prior counter top, which was in great condition.

More details: I provided all the sub-top support materials, as I was planning to re-use my prior counter, and was working with a ""restoration"" vendor"". I had various lumber milled, at my cost, available on site. And despite having all this lumber of resources, the installer used a stack of lathe for shims in the two most critical support sections. Seriously 1"" high, (he claims he needed 7/16""). I discovered this after install in my clean up after the install. And was like - what is this potato chip pile of support. Sorry unacceptable.

Other install details, they were sloppy in cutting the lumber supports, using a jigsaw freehand holding over my lovely new cabinets. Not just More clean up for me, there was easy access to an outside area, less than 50' you could walk out front to stage as your cut zone. They chose to cut lumber support pieces, holding the lumber strip in one hand, and jigsaw in other. NOT very OSHA, let alone, consideration for the homeowner's home, who just installed NEW cabinets, and new flooring. I cringed for safety, as they were not wearing protective eyewear either. A reason why I use licensed people - to hope that they have worker's comp. I did not address this, but really should have asked that they cut lumber outside, albeit, 15/16"" strips.

My overall install review is, I tried to address the issue with the shoddy shim build up - and they really weren't going to remedy, so I had them add an addendum to the install warranty - Cause I know Corian can withstand the wear and tear, if installed right - but this install sucked. IMO. I still question the long term, hence why I asked them for a written install warranty. So find someone else.

I probably know more now doing my same kitchen over in 12 years. Some people never have to remodel twice. But back when I first had it installed, I did not have an issue with the finish or the glue up.

In response to their review the shim build up, I was told would cause more damage to my cabinets to fix. I also had them clean up their use of ""Silicone and Caulking"" which I learned they use caulking at the drywall edge for backsplash...I am not sure what brand or what they used for ""Silicone, but their install was the slopiest of edging ever.... My prior counter top the seaming of the backsplash to the counter was practically invisible! Despite my asking for clean up on this follow up visit. It was as best I can expect from this team and this vendor. If this is their only install team, look elsewhere.

Want more? Well I brought my sink and the template to the shop, as I had a change in sink from when they measured. Red Flag 2. Not only did the sink get ""bashed around"" at shop; day of install, while they may have done the cut out out, they were looking for the template, that I gave them, the factory template, that they said at the shop at time of drop off saying they download the file for the CNC machine...fair enough...but I not only gave them the sink to ensure proper install, they stated they would install the sink at the shop. Which they did not. Well let's just say, I am glad it was a 16 gauge sink to withstand the underside abuse. The damage was preventable. While some may argue it did not affect the sink function, it is a disappointment, as it was a NEW sink. It if is going to get dinged up - let me be the one who does that. The under side looks like a bad Amazon package delivery; the soundproofing sections are torn and mangled. The inner sink vessel also had scratches - that I hope after a year will be less noticeable and blend with natural Stainless Steel swirls.

If I may sound picky, then hire away. But my review is based on that I hired people to do this install, and this was not a DIY, or cheap flip, This review is if you are paying full retail and premium $$ for service install...do your homework. If you don't care - then hire these guys.

Not happy, obviously. My kitchen took over 5 months. The countertop from date of order to install a month, And everything was researched except the final vendor....so that's on me.

California Countertops did a great job on our bathroom quartz countertops. Jill was super helpful and walked me through every step, showed me samples so I could make choices and was there for all my questions. Best of all, they were organized and came as planned. Mike, who measured, and Steve and Vladimir who installed were professional and really nice. I give them all a 5 and highly recommend them.

Jill was so wonderful and easy to work with. The whole process was easy. Even though the Lapitec company discontinued the first color choice, Jill and the team had great alternatives. This is the second time working with California countertops and we will use them again on the future.

I had a great experience with Californa Countertop! I worded with Jill and Tiffany and they were both responsive and helpful. Jill was cognizant of my very rushed timeline and helped me find material that is great quality and would meet my timeline. Their team of installers were on time , quick and polite! I would definitely return to CC for future projects!

I recently had a bathroom countertop/sink replaced. My sales consultant, Jill, was friendly, patient, and informative on design & materials -- she worked with my specific requests to get the product ""just right"", and it turned out beautifully. I'll use her and the company again this year for my master bath, and would highly recommend giving her a call to set up a consultation.

This is the contractor that works with Costco for the San Diego area. If you go through Costco, you get better 10% pricing (in the form of a Costco card) and don't have to buy a full slab as a minimum. The downside is that you are limited in the colors and types of top that are contracted through Costco.

We came in to the showroom and spent some time there. They even gave us multiple estimates for different grades of silestone and caesarstone tops.

Once we mentioned Costco, they were less enthusiastic and after we left the guy who quoted us in the showroom ghosted and stopped responding to emails. I tried following up twice with no response. I could have followed up with Costco but after seeing how disorganized they were, we kinda decided to go in another direction.

2/11/2021 Called two days in advance and asked salesman Mike to have a specific silestone ""Serena"" sample available for me to pickup in two days. Told him I had bought silestone and a sink from them previously. He was cordial and positive. On the day Mike was supposed to have the sample left with the receptionist, Tiffany, he forgot to get the sample; went out to his car to look in the trunk and he did not have the sample. I told him that was a waste of my time and left; he did not apologize or say anything. Really poor service. Later in the day, I filled out the Costco customer contact form for Cosentino countertops. 2/12 Tiffany called me this morning and left a voicemail sayings they are the local costco supplier; on the voicemail she said they could get me a cheaper price and didn't need to go through costco. So, I called Tiffany back, explained that Mike did not have the sample and I want a different salesperson; she said she saw the sample in Mike's hand and disagreed with me. I told her she was questioning my explanation; she said I was being extremely rude and said ""We don't need your business"" and hung up on me. In 2014 I bought 38 sq ft. of ""Seleno"" cosentino silestone and a double Meier 400b SS026 double bowl stainless steel sink from California Countertops for a total of $1,900 which included installation; the salesperson, Jim Webb, was outstanding; the installation crew were outstanding. Looks like things have changed at California Countertops since then. Also, since then, La Mesa has passed a sales tax increase and if you buy anything in La Mesa you pay 8.5% sales tax; the city of San Diego sales tax is 7.75%. It's a small sales tax increase, but why pay the extra tax for no added product.
