I don't understand the negative comments about customer service. We went into the store twice and were helped by different people exactly as I expected to be served.
Yes the decision is difficult, as they have just about every kind of countertop you can imagine, and some you've never heard of. And yes the store is a bit difficult to find at first, but not impossible.
And yes the pricing may be a little higher than some others, but this company ONLY does countertops, and they do it with precision. I came in with a sketch of my kitchen design, and was able to get quotes on different materials and colors immediately. When their expert came out to measure, he used the latest is laser technology to make sure everything fit perfectly. It even measures bumps and dents in the wall so they can cut the countertop accordingly.
Installation was fast, friendly, and very professional. And yes there were small cut-outs made at the factory which matched certain quirks in my kitchen. The installers answered every question I had and offered several good tips on cleaning and maintenance.

I am pleased to recommend California Countertops. They have just completed installation of new, Quartz countertops in our kitchen. The entire process, from start to finish, went without a hitch (despite the fact that we goofed up and initially ordered and took delivery of a sink that was too large). Our first contact was Sylvia, who unhurriedly took the time to review all of our options and help us make decisions. Thanks, Sylvia.
They had displays of the myriad types of countertops that were available and samples of all the colors and designs that we could take home to see how it might look. They eventually took a deposit from us (again, no rush) and sent Mike out to measure our kitchen. It was Mike who informed us that the sink was too large. He returned a second time (once we had selected our replacement sink) and re-measured everything, just to be certain everything would fit properly. Thanks, Mike.
And it did! When it came time for the installation, Joe and Jarrod arrived promptly at the appointed time and went right to work. They were extremely efficient and very competent. Everything fit perfectly. The sink fit perfectly (with just an inch or two to spare). The countertop seams matched up perfectly. They're practically invisible. The countertop is completely level. Just for fun, I poured a cup of water on the surface. It just sat there in a puddle, barely spreading out, held together by surface tension.
When we needed the last-minute addition of a backsplash, they ran back to the shop and returned within hours with the custom-made pieces needed to complete the job. Job site cleanup was perfect as well. Not a speck of construction debris was left behind, inside or outside. Great work, guys! Thanks.
I am completely satisfied with California Countertops as a company and, especially, the competent folks that did such a great job on our behalf.

I also had a lousy experience at this store. After wandering around the dusty and dirty showroom for a while (with no one offering to help us) I finally went and got someone from the back.
I was trying to understand the pricing for the exact same color solid surface material between the different brands, since they seem to carry absolutely everything on the market. Price obviously is important to most consumers. I had estimated dimensions.
The guy just says ""well just tell me what brand you want and I will put it in the computer."" He seemed to completely ignore my question on price--can't spend 5 minutes to figure out which of the brands will be the best value for me? The quote he printed was incredibly difficult to comprehend and contained no useful detail that could be compared to anyone else's bid.
Anyway--not surprisingly--I spent my $6,000 with a different countertop fabricator. Good luck with your bizarre brass tacks style.

California Countertops! these guys are precision with a capital ""P"". I have a U shaped kitchen and have installed IKEA cabinets. I opted for the ""organic white quartz"" counter top. It started with a scale drawing and then Mike came over and did an accurate measurment of my counter tops. He said that we would have our counter top in 8 days, and they came here in 7. Two gentlemen, Joe and Jerrod installed the counter top in two hours. That was amazing and the two seams are so precise that they are barely noticable. These guy are truly professional and I would recomend this company to anyone wanting a first class job that they can be proud of

My husband and I went to Cal. Countertops with the intent of replacing two bathroom counter tops. We were excited to see all the choices. We were there quite awhile before a older lady with dark hair finally came out and asked us us something like ""what are u looking for"" like we were interrupting her. My husband nicely explained why we were there, showing her a sample of the limestone on the bathroom floors and a color that we might like for counters and added we were very open to ideas. It was like she did not understand, she was very condescending. We tried again to explain to her that we would like some help with ideas and see options. She was so rude my husband, a very patient person walked out. I told her she was being rude, she said she was not, that she was showing us what we wanted. At that point the phone rang, she pushed a sample back into the rack said ""I'm done "" and walked off. I walked out in tears, I can't believe how she treated us.
I totally do not understand where she was coming from, but why would u buy something from someone that rude. If she was having a bad day don't take it out on customers.
I would not recommend going there to be treated like that.

We just received maybe the worst customer service and treatment here ever. My husband & I got here 5 mins before the close of this store today, but we had no idea they closed at 3 pm until we were already on our way. Not wanting to be rude, we called first & asked if it was ok that we come because we would be getting there so late & explaining we only had a quick question. The gentleman on the phone was nice & accommodating stating that it wouldn't be a issue & they would even wait for us if need be. That was a great start that quickly disintegrated upon entering the store. First off when we entered the store we couldn't find anyone to help us, they were there but in the back office of the store. We waited about 5 mins until we decided maybe we should call.. That part was weird.. But we thought they must be busy with something & didn't mind waiting. Right when I was about to call a dark haired middle aged lady came out & refused to answer the few questions we had. I understand if the answer may not be simple, but at least take a min to explain what the variables are regarding cost & why you can't answer. We certainly were not being demanding, we were simply trying to give them our business. We've never bought this sort of thing before & we were looking for mere guidance. The worst part was that her voice was angry & she was extremely short with us from the get go. She was honestly Origin of the name Joan:
Contracted form of the French Johanne, which is a feminine form of John (God is gracious). The name's most famous bearer is perhaps Joan of Ark (1412 - 31), the young French saint and heroine claimed to be a soldier of God. Under her leadership, the French Army defeated the English at Orleans in 1429. She was eventually captured and sold to the English who burned her at the stake for witchcraft in 1431. She was canonized in 1920.reacting to us as if we came to her home & trying to sell her something she didn't want at her door and she couldn't wait for us to leave. It was the weirdest experience ever & we will never go back because if this woman.

California Countertops did an excellent job on my kitchen counters. From start to installation everything was handled professionally. Robin in the showroom was friendly and very helpful. The removal of my countertops took place just two days after I made a decision about the counters (it was hard to decide because they carry so many styles). The installation took place in under two weeks, and I couldn't be happier with the result. I visited Home Depot, Lowes, Ikea (extremely unfriendly) and a company called Integrity who came and measured and then disappeared. I made the right decision in choosing California Countertops.

I visited California countertops on Friday, January 31 and met with Christina. Christina emailed me her quote on Saturday. I responded on Monday to ask if there was any way we could discuss the quote as my husband and I are retired and were working with a budget. Not only did she NOT respond to my email even to say no change in quote possible she didn't even have the courtesy to respond at all. Even if we could find the entire amount I would not deal with this company due to their lack of response.

Great experience from beginning to end. I purchased a solid surface countertop after checking prices at Home Depot and Cosco. California countertop had best prices. Installation was perfect. Installers were professional and easy to work with. I would recommend them.

We were interested in Corian and Quartz for our kitchen countertop. After making some choices in the showroom with Christine, she said she would email us the two quotes by lunch the next day. By 3pm, I popped in and she hadn't even started the quotes and asked me which one I was leaning towards. I said we liked both, so it might come down to price. She said corian would probably by cheaper, but she would get me the quotes in about an hour.
At the end of the day, we got an email quote for Quartz only and it was over $5,000. This is compared to 2 other quotes for quartz that we got for about $3,500 from Lowes and Best Granite in Chula vista. We never did get the Corian quote from Christine, and we ended up going with Best Granite.
She continually told us how busy they were, so I believe she was pricing us out.
