This is the contractor that works with Costco for the San Diego area. If you go through Costco, you get better 10% pricing (in the form of a Costco card) and don't have to buy a full slab as a minimum. The downside is that you are limited in the colors and types of top that are contracted through Costco.
We came in to the showroom and spent some time there. They even gave us multiple estimates for different grades of silestone and caesarstone tops.
Once we mentioned Costco, they were less enthusiastic and after we left the guy who quoted us in the showroom ghosted and stopped responding to emails. I tried following up twice with no response. I could have followed up with Costco but after seeing how disorganized they were, we kinda decided to go in another direction.

California Countertop did an amazing job with our kitchen from start to finish. They communicated with us constantly and answered all of our questions. The price was reasonable and competitive. Installation was easy and they did an amazing job. Very professional company and would absolutely recommend.

2/11/2021 Called two days in advance and asked salesman Mike to have a specific silestone ""Serena"" sample available for me to pickup in two days. Told him I had bought silestone and a sink from them previously. He was cordial and positive. On the day Mike was supposed to have the sample left with the receptionist, Tiffany, he forgot to get the sample; went out to his car to look in the trunk and he did not have the sample. I told him that was a waste of my time and left; he did not apologize or say anything. Really poor service. Later in the day, I filled out the Costco customer contact form for Cosentino countertops. 2/12 Tiffany called me this morning and left a voicemail sayings they are the local costco supplier; on the voicemail she said they could get me a cheaper price and didn't need to go through costco. So, I called Tiffany back, explained that Mike did not have the sample and I want a different salesperson; she said she saw the sample in Mike's hand and disagreed with me. I told her she was questioning my explanation; she said I was being extremely rude and said ""We don't need your business"" and hung up on me. In 2014 I bought 38 sq ft. of ""Seleno"" cosentino silestone and a double Meier 400b SS026 double bowl stainless steel sink from California Countertops for a total of $1,900 which included installation; the salesperson, Jim Webb, was outstanding; the installation crew were outstanding. Looks like things have changed at California Countertops since then. Also, since then, La Mesa has passed a sales tax increase and if you buy anything in La Mesa you pay 8.5% sales tax; the city of San Diego sales tax is 7.75%. It's a small sales tax increase, but why pay the extra tax for no added product.

CC was great to work with. From measuring, to timeline, and finished installed product, we'd definitely use them again!

For me, California Countertops was a disaster! I decided to replace my kitchen granite with Silestone quartz and to spend the extra dollars to go through Pacific Sales for quality assurance. PS gave the job to California Countertops. The demo group showed up with a pail, hammer, and old vacuum, nothing more! Since I have a delicate maple floor and new appliances, I asked them how they planned to protect my flooring etc. They assured me that another crew would be arriving shortly with tarps etc. Shame on me for believing them and not sending them away. Needless to say, the other crew never showed. After an hour of them smashing the granite with a hammer and the pieces flying and dropping on the floor in my great room and kitchen, I pulled out my own rugs, sheets and towels to help prevent additional damage to the floor and to my furniture and appliances. By the time they left about 4 hours later, I couldn't believe the damage. I was so upset all that night (I'm still upset) and spent hours trying to clean up the mess. The following day a different crew showed up to install the counters, during installation they chipped the quartz by the sink and tried to cover it up with grout. When the job was done, I was left with a damaged wall, a chipped countertop (they later came back and filled with a grout that doesn't match), scratched dishwasher, a damaged maple floor and an experience that is still upsetting. In twenty years of working with painters, flooring installers, tile groups, etc. I have never encountered a more unprofessional company. It's too late for me, but it's not too late for anyone considering using California Countertops. My advise, don't! I see that other reviews are glowing, so if you decide to use them, watch them carefully. BTW, it has taken me a month to calm down enough to write this review.

4 stars because of communication. They did a great Jon with the project, but they have to work on calling back and giving updates.

We use them for our counter top's on our kitchens and baths...we recently did a very custom bathroom with Quartz....walls of the shower turned out awesome!
Thanks for your follow up and professional installation.

We just completed our new kitchen and while all other aspects of the remodel was enjoyable, our experience with California Countertops was less than stellar. There seems to be a disconnect between their sales team and the field team who actually install the product. The scheduling process of removing the existing countertops with the arrival & installation of the new countertops was not handled properly which meant my family was without a working kitchen for over two weeks. Finally when ""installation day"" arrived, the field team (installers) had not been given the correct details necessary for the job and had to take matters into their own hands. It meant more work for them. Still, kudos to the field team as their work was well executed and the kitchen looks fantastic. Overall, we are happy with the end result but the service aspect was challenging.

I had these guys do my kitchen many years ago (that it's no longer in their computer files (good thing I've got receipts) But that's the best part as I didn't even need them. Back up a few minutes to when I first arrived and was greeted with a smile and an honest ""how may I help you""?
I explained what I was there for and she introduced me to their shop lead tech ""Jim"" which was my name, wow. Explained I was looking for information on the silicon used they used between the counters and back splash as I knew it wasn't just any old product I could pick up a HD, Lowe's or Dixieline. Jim goes back in the shop and brings a tube out and of course i was right - special for sure and he said ""here, it's yours l"".
Now that's exceptional customer service and i insisted on paying for it and even though it's more than ""other brands"" I didn't care. I paid for it and was happy to do so.
I then asked if he had a couple of small pieces of just white Corian material (the cut offs, waste sections from sink cut outs and told him what I was going to do with it, he goes back in the shop with a piece exactly the size I was looking for and said ""here you go""
Somehow after leaving I got to thinking , that wasn't just laying around scrape - he probably just went back in the shop and cut a piece for me. I'm impressed and their showroom is so out of this world that I'm glad my wife wasn't with me - she'd probably think it's time to remodel the kitchen again!

This is one of the rudest experiences I've had searching for countertops. I need 4 bathrooms and kitchen countertops. The woman that we encountered had reddish hair and was an older lady....beware. She needs to have some customer service training. She directed another woman to help us since she couldn't be bothered. The second woman was okay but the first encounter ruined it for me. I wouldn't spend a dime in this place even if they had the ideal product that I was looking for.
