On Sunday 7/21 our kitchen sink in West Hollywood was clogged. We tried fixing it ourselves to no avail. So we looked up a plumber on Yelp, and Cali Rooter had such great reviews we gave them a call.

Luckily, their plumber Simon was already in our area on another job, and was over at our house less than an hour later. No only did he clear the clog deep in our pipes, he cleaned up the mess it had left behind! That went above and beyond, IMHO. Great job!

Super friendly, and very professional. If you are looking for your problem to be fixed with no hesitation they should be your go-to plumbers. Simon came within about 30 minutes of my call and the busted valve and leaky toilet tank were fixed very quickly. Our sewer line backed up about a year ago. I called another plumber and they were not able to clear the line and recommended more expensive service without properly diagnosing the issue. I called John at Cali Rooter and he was responsive, professional and was able to come out that same day and clear the line without much trouble by just changing a tool on the end of router. His price was also reasonable compared to the other guy I called. I recently had him come out to do some maintenance on the sewer line and had the same experience. John is a knowledgable and friendly guy that I would recommend to anyone.

They were the first to respond to my quote request on line. From our first on-line messages to the time the leaky bathtub faucet was fixed, it took only a couple of hours. The man that came by (John, I think) was punctual, focused, and straight to the point, which I appreciate. He quickly fixed the leaky faucet, showed me what had been wrong with the previous part, and left absolutely no mess behind. Quick service within 3 hours of initial contact. they came around 6pm and didn't try to overcharge even though it was past 5pm. Cleared the mainline in my apartment building and advised tenants of the problem. Would definitely do business with again. John and his team are phenomenal. As a rental property owner, I need someone dependable and fast; someone I can trust, someone willing to come out at a moment's notice, and great at communicating with myself and the tenants. And most of all, someone who knows exactly what he's doing. He has saved my butt several times over, and I highly recommend him especially for the most complicated jobs.

Take for example two weeks ago. On a Friday evening, I received a text from a tenant saying there was raw sewage coming out from one of the clean-outs. I called John and described the situation. It looked really bad ... sewage everywhere on the driveway. He gave me a prognosis of best and worst case scenarios, and told me that everything would be ok ... nothing that he's not done before. Within an hour, John was at the property doing an inspection even though it was already dark out. From the initial inspection, he said he'd need to return the next day to do a hydrojet and sewer cam to see where the back-up was, and then he could tell me what needed to be done. The next day, bright and early, he hydrojetted the sewer line and discovered that it was broken in several place and sent me several photos. The sewer cam photos looked really bad, and there was now even more sewage everywhere on the driveway from the hydrojetting. I wasn't sure how I'd clean up the mess. What should I wear? However, I was extremely grateful that John's team cleaned up the sewage after doing the inspection and leaving for the day.

John recommended underground sewer replacement, which would save us from from tearing up landscaping including most of the driveway, a deck and new privacy fence. It also saved on manual labor, and enabled him to complete the job in 1 day. John arrived with his crew on a Sunday, with 7 or 8 people and two vans! I was a bit shocked by the manpower. The crew spent most of the day digging through concrete to make 3 huge trenches to access and replace the old ceramic sewer line. They then pulled through modern plastic pipe underground. By early evening, I had a new sewer line, and I was relieved to see the team busy patching up the trenches with new concrete. I was really impressed by their quality of work, the fact I didn't have to deal with any BS, and how quickly they could get things done.

John will always be the first guy I call if I have another plumbing problem. I've used other plumbers before: what has often been the case is that they give you a prognosis of the situation, they start to do work, and then the problem quickly escalates into something much bigger than what was anticipated. John will tell you how it is in the beginning so you know what you're getting into, and if a hiccup does come along, he will take care of it. I feel extremely grateful that I found him.

Don't even bother calling other plumbers, these guys are the best! Had guests coming to visit, so of course my bathtub got clogged the day before their arrival and nothing I did could unclog it. Called Cali and they were able to get someone to me within a couple hours, and on a Sunday even! Oganes was extremely professional, very nice, and he had my tub back up and running within literally 5 minutes! Will only use Cali from now on and would give them more than 5 stars if I could!
