DO NOT use this company unless you want to be ripped off. In soliciting my business the Sales Rep, Steve Lockmiller told me he would have the company install an outlet for no charge. After they had my money and the work under my home was done they then said they would install an outlet for me for a charge. The squeaking noise they came out to fix is now worse than before. The office manager, Porsche was condescending and lied to me. I was scheduled for an inspection and took the day off work for a worker scheduled for 10-11am. At 11:30 I called her and she sand ""Hon, I over scheduled"". I spoke with the owner the next day and he could have cared less about both the outlet for his condescending office manager. I repeat, do not use them!

BEWARE! called this company to do a re-leveling and asked the gentleman if there was anything else wrong under the home. he said "" no everything is perfect and in good condition "" well 30 days later someone else came out and did their quality check and all of a sudden I need all these other repairs for $4000.. I called and complained and the ""gentleman"" I spoke to basically made me feel like an ass and I was lieing.

Had a second opinion for these so called issues and guess what?? Turns out I don't need any of the shit these scam artists told me I needed.

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND JUST DON'T BOTHER WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Made appointment for an inspection for roof and termite damage repair. Estimator was very late and made no attempt to call until I was driving away from home.

Portia was very helpful in coordinating around my busy schedule. Too bad estimator ruined the day.

I was told about Cal-Star after my neighbor had a lot of work done by them (roof, re-piping, leveling, water heater replacement etc.) and raved about how fast and efficient they were and at a decent price (he had received four other bids). My house had many squeaks as I walked through it and some cracks, and I had contacted at least three companies to come out and check, but most of them, said no thanks, and one said you can crawl under there and tighten things yourself. So Cal-Star made an appt. to come out, showed up on time, wrote up a plan to level the house and add more piers and set up a time for the work to be done. Tony Williams showed up at the appointed time and did the work and by doing so eliminated the squeak I had for years and which was very annoying to me. I would recommend this company based on my experience and my neighbors as well.

I live in a 55+ mobile home park (I'm 65) and was called by Cal Star to be given a free inspection being offered to people in the park. My home was brand new when I moved in 4 years ago (home was built in 2011) but thought it couldn't hurt since it was free. Their inspector came out and went through the inside and outside of my house including the foundation underneath. He then told me I needed about $3500 worth of foundation work, which surprised me considering the newness of the home. He showed me barely visible cracks in my ceiling and photos of my pillars that he said indicated problems and were examples of ""corners being cut"" when installed. When I balked a bit, he called his boss and said they could knock off $500 if I ordered the repair and scheduled it the same day as another one in the park the following week (and if excess supplies were still available). I then told him I would want to consult with my brother first, who I said has experience with mobile homes (but did not mention that he just so happens to have 40 years experience in the mobile home foundation installation field and had owned his own business). My brother came out and said there were absolutely no concerns whatsoever. The examples of deficiencies given were either not related to my foundation or wholly insignificant considering all the support I had underneath. I had mentally prepared myself for this expense but obviously quite elated to learn it was unnecessary. However, I was saddened by the fact that this business may be out there scamming older mobile home owners who do not know any better. As a side note, the company inspector tried to convince me of his neutrality on the repairs because he did not get commission and was paid by the hour. Funny, I had heard that same sales pitch by expensive carpet shampooers who also called their boss to get me a discount if I ordered that same day. Maybe your home is older and does need some leveling and repairs, but if I were you, I'd definitely get a second opinion from someone you know and trust. These guys I would never use based on my experience.

When we called for an appointment, the young lady that answered was polite and very helpful and they came out the very next day.
Jake was our representative and was very friendly and polite.
In our eyes, Jake is a poster child for customer service.
We were so pleased with the way he handled himself and how professional he was.
We decided to go with them to complete the work that was needed.
We are so pleased with the work and would recommend them to friends and family.

Good honest mobile home contractors are hard to find. Call Cal Star 1-855-370-3900. They helped fix the last contractors incompetent work and treated my mom with respect. I wish with all of my heart I had found Cal Star sooner because she would not have been so over charged by the last guy. It's so sad. The good thing is my mom has Cal Star. I'm happy for my mom. Thank you Cal Star!

Highly recommend this company for all home improvement needs! We have used Cal Star for a large remodel as well as some smaller items we wanted replaced, like toilets and ceiling fans. They do really great work, they are considerate, professional, competitively priced, straight forward and trustworthy (which speaks volumes in this industry).
