Fantastic, fast, friendly and affordable!
Ben answered our call super fast and was out to inspect our leaky hot water heater the same day. He came out and replaced it two days later (we were not in an emergency situation), and even came back out to troubleshoot our slow drip kitchen faucet this evening. He cleaned it up a bit and all is well. Cal Rooter will definitely be our go-to plumber from here on.

I found a water leak from the hot water heater in the garage.
When I sent a picture of the leak, Ben told me that it was caused by a pinhole leak in the left copper pipe.
He was, however, out of town for a major remodeling job in Santa Cruz.
He sent a colleague of his, David, to my house on the same evening.
David came to my home on time and professionally replaced the pipe in 45 minutes.
David did a great job and communication with him was excellent, just like Ben.
I can take a shower tonight thanks to Ben and David. Great guys!

My water heater broke in the middle of the night and flooded my front lawn. I canvased yelp for quotes to install a new water heater, and Ben responded fast with a very reasonable offer ($595 service + $690 for a 50 gallon gas water heater from Home Depot). He came the next day with the new water heater, even though it was July 4th weekend; he removed my broken water heater, installed the new one, checked to make everything was working properly, and he even gave me great tips as to how to make the water heater last much longer than the expected 6-year lifespan. He worked all morning, and it was the same price. No unexpected additional fees. I like that Ben is a super honest, giving you a candid and fair up front cost. Additionally, Ben is super friendly; he has great interpersonal communication skills, and gives you free and helpful advice, if you ask him, about how to do any remodeling projects on your house. Incidentally, four months ago I had a plumber come to my house and fix an issue with a toilet and charge me $700 for 30 minutes of work, and I was terribly sour on all plumbers because of this outrageous price gouging. I now know, and will call Ben at Cal Rooter Plumbing to help me with all future plumbing issues, for he is fair, competent and a joy to work with.

I'm so thankful for Ben. He came over to my new rental and swapped out some old valves so I could hook up my washing machine and even helped remove the old one. Hes professional and really came through with customer care. Highly recommended.

Always excellent service. We've had Ben into fix our plumbing more than once. He's knowledgeable, skilled, efficient, courteous, and friendly. He puts on shoe covers before he enters, and a mask if you want. Today he unblocked our kitchen drain. Afterwards, demonstrating that the drain was entirely clear. It was a fast and clean process. I have to say, we've more confidence in Ben than any other plumber.

The one star is for the woman that answered the phone last night. When I explained the urgency of my situation; (I was unable to use either of my bathrooms because drains were clogged!) she said she'd call one of the plumbers after we hung up & they'd call me right back. Long story short, that was at 9:30 last night & it's now 11:40 with no call back.
Luckily I found another plumber this AM. Very disappointing.
