Watery grossness was backing up into our sinks tonight, so I went to my car thinking I would buy some draino. Instead I found water in the garage, all over the floor.

I have two kids and couldn't wait until the morning to have a plumber come out, and C.Y. Sewer and Drain Service was out to our house within half an hour.

Chris diagnosed the problem quickly, ran a snake cable, and had our water flowing freely within the hour. Of my initial phone call. That's a great plumber!

We hired Chris and his buddy from Clemons Plumbing, Mike, to redo our sewer (mainline + some repairs underneath the house) and to re-pipe our house. (Found him on Yelp and he brought Mike along as the job required re-piping, which Chris doesn't do.)

Chris has some knowledge of the sewers primarily concentrating on the snaking and cameras. He does have all of the necessary equipment.

We were pretty desperate because our sewer was in disrepair and we had standing water, toilets wouldn't flush, etc. Mike and Chris seemed knowledgeable and quoted us a decent price. They were local, too.

Chris tried to sell us on snaking first, but we knew that the sewer was old and needed replacing. As it turned out, the pipe was broken in 3 places.

Chris didn't seem to do much work himself. And all of the work was done by Mike and some help people.

The first day they re-did the mainline they were about 30 min later than expected. I was late to work.

2nd day when the re-piping began they were late 1 hour. I was late to work again.

3rd day they were late by about 3 hours and so on.... (By 3rd day I figured out the pattern, and we found a way for them to be in the house without them needing our presence. Considering that they had lots of different plumbers, friends come by our house while we weren't there, nothing seems to have gone missing.)

At the end of the week they were MOSTLY done, but asked for a full payment promising that they would come back tomorrow (Sat) by 10 AM. And we were stupid enough to believe them. Of course, during the evening we discovered some unfinished details - such as lack of water pressure, dripping pipe underneath the sink, etc. No problem, they will come tomorrow by 10 AM.

12 PM following day - I get a call ""hmm, can we come by Mon"" Obviously not... Ok will be there in 30 min. 4 hours later and 20 angry phone calls, including threatening to cancel the check. They show up to finish up. It was apparent that Chris didn't know much about plumbing as he was uselessly pacing while Mike was getting everything done.

Of course, they didn't get to finish everything.... So, they needed to come back the following week another time... Again they came back, but didn't finish everything...

Our agreement was that they will patch up the holes they would make in the walls, and we are still waiting (3 weeks) for a huge hole underneath the kitchen sink to be patched up, which I sadly realize will never happen as we spent at least two Saturdays waiting for them in vain... and that's after repeated phone calls and assurance that they will make it here in the next hour.

In short, it's not necessarily the quality of work, but complete lack of professionalism and hours of our time that was wasted by Chris and Mike that prompted me to give such low score.

C.Y. Sewer and Drain Service? Yes, come ASAP and ""C Y"" my drains are all backed up!

Chris was prompt and knowledgeable and resolved our main line issue. He explained every step and provided guidance on what to watch for in the future to catch the issue early. He also recommended proactive services without a hard sell. His service is very competitively priced. I opted for the video scope as well and I'd highly recommend everyone do so at least once, especially before purchasing a home if you can negotiate it into the contract.

Thanks to the previous owners of our house who enjoyed pouring cooking oil down the drain and our contractor for using the plumbing for quick job clean up during our remodel.

A great alternative to those guys in the yellow pages with the full page ads. Had a drain back-up problem one night recently and looked for someone here on Yelp to fix it instead of the phone book as I've had mixed results with that in the past. Chris came over the next morning exactly when he said he would and worked very hard for two hours and cleared my drain for a very reasonable price. Would call him again for sure. Nice, friendly guy who's easy to deal with too.

Chris came to my house right away after five in the evening and took care of my main line problem. He gave me lots of good plumbing tips. He's good with clean up afterwards, too. Super nice guy!

I called CY for a sewer clog issue based on his yelp reviews. I didn't expect the owner, Chirs, to respond so quick. Within 40 min Chris, and two helpers were here at my house working on my issue.

I was impressed witht the response, and the service was just as good. Chris was just as good at telling me what the problem was and keeping me abreast of what the resolution was.

Chris and his crew finished my job in a couple hours diagnozed some other issues with my plumbing system, as well as instructed me on what I could do myself to resolve those issues. I will call Chris and his crew back to fix any future plumbing issues.

Had an emergency plumbing situation where our tub and toilet were backing up. (We only have one bathroom) He came on a Sunday without an extra charge. He charged a flat fee which was amazing since he was here for quite some time. He arrived when he said he would (within an hour of our call), used a camera to identify the problem and showed my husband, walked us through our options, and most importantly he fixed the problem. And he guarantees the job for 30 days. Would recommend him to others.

A true life saver!

I am not a person who spends time writing reviews. But for Chris, I can not thank him enough.

Our plumbing was probably done during Jurassic age with cast iron drain pipe. Wish I knew earlier. When we suspect it is leaking underground, We called several plumber. Chris could able to tell exactly what need to be done and gave the most reasonable quote. There are not so many plumbers out there with diagnostic camera tool and charge probably nothing for it. We had to replace the pipe which is under concrete basement. To make our life easier, he and his crew worked whole weekend to get it done on time.

Chris is an honest, very reasonable and very efficient sewer and drain service provider and I highly recommend him.
