Unfortunately, my story is similar to other yelpers's -this company was scheduled through Home Depot during a new counter top installation. They were supposed to unhook an old kitchen sink and insinkerator and return 48 hours later to install the new sink, faucet, and insinkerator that we had already purchased-a seemingly simple job! Although we had already PREPAID Home Depot for the equipment AND services, and had never had a problem with the plumbing in the kitchen- after the sink was unhooked, the company workmen insisted that additional work had to be done for an ADDITIONAL $300 CHARGE !! They Insisted that they could not guarantee the work wouldn't leak unless we did as they recommended and that we could have a catastrophic leak at any time. We paid the $300 because we didn't want to delay the new countertop installation that was scheduled for the next day. When they returned to install the new equipment, they said they noticed an obviously necessary part was missing and we had to make a trip to Home Depot to try to get the needed part. After we were on our way to Home Depot to get the part, they suddenly discovered they actually had a similar part and could install it, -of course it was with yet another ADDITIONAL CHARGE. They said Home Depot agreed to cover that fee. Scheduling them was also a problem! The lady who answered their phone said we could not choose between morning or afternoon work-they would tell us when they were coming. Home Depot personnel were nice but they could not be onsite to see this or supervise-and they did not give us a choice of plumbers. I plan to ask the local store kitchen personnel if they ever read the Yelp Reviews. We will never use Bynum again!! PS After this fiasco, with hundreds of dollars of additional plumbing charges already added to the original Home Depot contracted bill, they sent me a text attempting to sell me a """"home protection"""" plan !

Awesome people. They are very knowledgeable and informative. I will definitely use them in all my future uses. Everyone at this business seems true concerned for the care of the septic situation and function. And they will give you several options. But remember any ideas they give also need to be backed up by truly digging it up to give accurate analogy of the situation. I will be in touch soon. Thanks

They were prompt and arrived at the set time, but the cost was outrageous. We called to set the appointment and we asked for an estimate and we were clear our septic tank was full. No need to say that once they got to our house the price surprisedly had doubled. No complaints about the service, but definitely paying almost $1000 to have my septic tank pumped was extremely high.

Called Home Depot for a company to replace a hot water tank. The rep came out between 3-6 pm on Friday, took one look at the job and left. We called to ask him why and he said he could do whatever he wanted and hung up. Savannah at Bynum was unsuccessful in getting him to come back and replace the hot water heater. I will never, ever call them again and I'm confused why Home Depot would be associated with them.

First of all I was assigned this company by Home Depot to install a toilet i purchased. The contractor arrived, looked at the toilet and said it wouldn't fit, did not explain that a trip fee may be accessed, did not suggest waiting for me to go to the store and pick up another toilet, anything that could have been helpful, instead they left. 3 weeks later, after i get a call from Home Depot stating that they were charging my card for an additional $75. Even after i paid $266/toilet/pickup/installation + an adtl $100 for new toilet, and now this and they did nothing. The company sent out another contractor who finished the job in less than 30 minutes. My problem isn't this happened 3 weeks later and no communication from this company. Thank God Home Depot did the right thing.

I cannot say enough good things about Bynum! We recently embarked on a major backyard project and wound up having to move our septic drain field from the backyard to the front. Justin quickly came up with a plan and the work was done on-time and on-budget and with minimum disruption for us. Bynum has since helped us out with a couple of other projects and they continue to be my #1 """"go-to"""" for all septic services!!!

Untrustworthy, unethically inept business. Forced to use as hot water heater by Lowe's in Douglasville, GA. Office manager lied about contacting me, gave false name """"Tiffany"""", tried to bait n' switch to but more expensive 50 gallon electric hwh because of """"GA Code"""". Delayed install 4 days resulting in garage flooding. Late showing up to 9-12 appointment after having 88 year old father waiting for them. Formal compliant given to Lowe's Corporate in NC and all local Lowe's. Thank you Lowe's for reimbursement of all labor cost due to this horrific experience with Byron & Sons Plumbing in Lilburn

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTOR I've been in construction and renovations for over 30 years and had the worst customer service experience from Bynum Plumbing ever. Home Depot should be ashamed of using this company as their installer/representative. The person I spoke to said her name was Audrey, and she was completely unhelpful. I went to Homeadvisor.com and immediately hired a very pleasant company to do the same work for a much lower price.

Terrible Experience- We had hardwood floors installed through Home Depot and Bynum were the contractor for the disconnect and reconnect Of the toilet and pedestal sink in downstairs bathroom. This toilet never had a leak anywhere before this process. After they reinstalled our toilet we were told to wait 24 hours before flushing toilet or using sink. We waited 48hrs and after using the toilet for 2 days I noticed a small amount of water that is accumulating on the floor. I called Home Depot and they said they would send the plumbers back out. Waited three business days and never received a call from them. Called Home Depot and they said that Bynum had been trying to call me. I never received a miss call or voicemail from them, they claimed they couldn't reach me. It's funny that Home Depot never had any problems reaching me. They told Home Depot that I need to call them directly. After scheduling the appointment- they came out and said he didn't see a leak, even though I had a piece of tissue where the water was leaking from. They claim any leaks was not part of their warranty. Incredible when we never had any leaks before. I been researching and I believe it's coming from the tank screws or the spud washer. You think the plumber would have looked into this but instead left and said not their problem. I don't recommend this company. Home Depot and the floor installers have been great. Thanks

A consumer alert. DO Not use Bynum & Sons period. Unbelievable lack of service from the office to the House visit. I contacted them to diagnose a septic/sewer issue as that is thier """" business"""". I needed an estimate to run a sewer line If there was no septic tank. Gwinnett cnty water determined was on Tank only. Come out, had to come back again with equipment. The person in charge with 2 trainees. They dug a section of 1x2 and told ne I was on Tank and it was collasped. He would not give an estimate until I the homeowner went to city hall to obtain a diagram of the water line. ? I wanted another estimate, a company came out wasnt comfortable with what was reccomended by Bynum. He dug up the Entire tank to find it was fully intact and just needed a pipe fitting. THE gentleman helping me stood on top of the entire tank and said """" this is unacceptable, and Im shocked"""". For what I was quoted $5 k up to $8k by Bynum, cost me $454 From the other Company. Bynum also questioned my Brother being military and Commented to BBB we were lying about His Miltary Service of which they offered a small discount. I offered to have a Military ID provide He declined. I would not recommend Matt Estes for anything. Also, Bynun did not do a Locate 811 before digging. Matt Estes running the excavator dug up and broke an active Gas line to our Gas light ran by Atlanta Gas Light. I was told not to contact the gas company to shut off. Atlanta gas Light sent a rep out to shut off leaking gas line and insured my home and my saftey. I have since reached out to the Owners of Bynum and the receptionist Amy argues with me, and deflects responsibility. The owner Larry Bynum never contacted me. Matt Estes called me and Cursed me and """"dared"""" me to write a bad review on he and his lack of performance in his duties and As a Representative of Bynum and sons. I requested to receive a refund of $200 for a Incomplete job, to which no one has responded. Matt Estes during his rant and irrational phone call was very upsetting and unbelievable that a worker hired could and would speak to a female the way he did on my cell phone. I truly hope this review helps the next disabled female relying on an """"expert"""" to do a job will be avoided next time looking for a Plumbing company. Thank you.
