Recommended Customer Reviews

I would leave ZERO stars if possible. They do NOT even come close to showing up in their promised """"timeframe window"""" of either 9-12 or 11-2. TWO times they called about 15 minutes before the window ended, saying they were either running late or ran into """"previous install problems"""". AND forget about trying to get a window between 9:30 - 1pm because they will NOT do it. Their """"customer service"""" person, Jeanie was so RUDE and hung up on me because THEY could not get me into a decent window and stick to it. I would hate to see the actual work they perform, it's probably a blessing in disguise as I see from many of the other reviews.

They did a huge septic job for us on recommendation of the buyers of some land we sold. The septic system is fine and priced similar to another quote we got but our yard is a huge disaster and they stopped responding to us when we asked them to fix it. We rented a bobcat and leveled things out on our own but there is still standing water all in the area of the tank when it rains and for several days after which can't be good for it.

Called them to pump our septic tank. They never showed and had an excuse for never showing up on time. Most of the work force are contractors, they don't even work for Bynum. Don't use them. You've been warned.

The tech was awesome. Took nearly a week to get a receipt and the phone reps act like they have no idea what's going on

My water heater stopped functioning and I needed a replacement. I decided to trust the Home Depot recommended installer Bynum and Sons Plumbing. When I called them to install the water heater they quoted 852. I thought it was the best deal I had gotten so far, but when they arrived at my home they up charged me twice that amount for the installation. The reason for the cost was that they needed to insure my house did not have high water pressure and installed a pressure reduction valve. They said the pressure reducing valve was needed in order for the warranty of the water heater to be honored. The tech proceeded to charge me again for what he said was a need to install new parts for the water heater connections. I only noticed a few new parts. Of the parts installed none were worth the amount that I was charged in value or in labor to install. The cost of it water heater was twice the amount they had quoted me and it seem like they only cared about how costly they could make the installation. I would avoid this company until they can be more up front with their prices, instead of hiding all the potential cost.

This was a horrible experience. Incompetence is the culture of this company. Unprofessional, unreliable, and there is no accountability from anyone I encountered in the organization. Don't waste your time or money.

I have to admit it I am a stickler with reading reviews before hiring a company to work on my car or my home. 90% of the bad reviews had to do with Home Depot. My situation was different I hired this company to come out and work on my septic tank due to a back up in one of my bathrooms, when they came out they were very professional they answered all my questions (which was many) Sam walked me through all the steps they were going to take to make sure the backup would be resolved. Have to admit the cost to repair made me gasp a little, but I have done all my research before hand and I knew my bottom price to the highest, they were very reasonable with the cost and the material Sam used a better grade of material than what was installed when the house was built. I am a very picky person i write reviews on everything good or bad because I don't sit on a bed of money (every penny counts) . This company is reliable and honest, I will recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you for making this experience positive.

Went to Home Depot to get some help with a hot water heater. No hot water. The salesman was helpful and said because ours was only 7 years old, it might just need a new heating element. But he helped me pick out a new one (50 gal) and set me up with Bynum Plumbing. He said because it was only 10am, they would most likely come that day. He said they would call quickly. After an hour, I called them. First, I was told that it would be 2 weeks before they could come? Then I was told that a 50 gallon wouldn't work and to be """"up to codes"""" we would have to get an 80 gallon tank and it would be a special order. Also that a technician would have to come do an inspection to see if the lines would work or they might have to do more plumbing work. When I asked about what if I didn't even need all that and it could be fixed, I was still told it would be a week before they could come. I told her we only had a 66 gal tank now and the """"codes"""" thing didn't seem like something we would have to do. We had never had an issue with not having enough hot water and only 3 people live in the house. I just felt like I was being taken for as much as they could get out of me and I didn't appreciate it at all!!! By the way, I called multiple plumbers after this. Not a single one told me I needed all that. They all said a 50 gallon would be fine. I was able to get another plumber out that day and all we needed was a new thermostat anyways! Disappointed that Home Depot set me up with them and that they wouldn't even send out somebody to diagnose before trying to upsale me on all that

I used Bynum Plumbing to install a water heater I purchased from Home Depot. They installed it incorrectly, the basement was flooded. I called them to come back and install it correctly. Then called another plumber to repair their poor installation. Bynum Plumbing denied any fault - despite a second opinion from the other plumbing company. Don't use them!

I was apprehensive because of the reviews I saw online but they did a great job installing my water heater and was cheaper than the quotes I received.
