As a lifelong resident of Napa, Rick holds strong ties to the community in various capacities. He kicked off his professional life as a law enforcement officer and transitioned to the office of Public Defender, then upon reaching retirement age at the age of 50, he focused his energy on working with local youth as a softball instructor at Napa's high schools.
