Being a native of Napa, Rick holds strong ties to the community in various capacities. He began his career as a police deputy and transitioned to the Public Defender's office, and later upon reaching retirement age at the age of 50, he devoted his efforts on mentoring Napa's youth as a softball coach at Napa's high schools.
