Called first and spoke to a very friendly sales person. He put me on hold and when he returned assured me they had the part I needed in stock. When I went to the store they didn't have the part and the part they tried to sell me specifically stated that it would not work on the model Toto toilet I have. I went on line and bought it. Not sure why other reviewers love the place but the experience I had was one star.

Not only did they have what we needed, but they also gave us some excellent advice about plumbing practices in older homes in our area. Saved us from doing a lot of unnecessary jack-hammering! Excellent experience all around and we will certainly be back.

After trying unsuccessfully to hire a plumber, I decided to tackle the job myself. Tim C. searched in the back of the store, came up with the elusive part, and took the time to explain how to install it. It worked! I will definitely be back for all of my plumbing needs. Thank you!!

Very RUDE! I will never be back. I needed a toilet repair kit (simple enough) but was not able to find one the correct size as mine was bigger than both the 2"" and 3"" kits I was looking at in other stores. I was referred to Brothers, so I went in to their very nice show room and waited at the counter for someone to help me. The tall redhead women asked how she could help me, and I explained my situation and showed the parts I had taken out of the toilet. She seemed extremely irritated to help me and was very rude and short, I mean very rude! But hey, whatever, just need my kit, she then showed me a 3"" flush valve and said that would be the one, I pulled out the gasket from my toilet to hold it up to the 3"" gasket in the kit to compare size and mine was much bigger, when I expressed my concern she explained mine just swelled from water. Thank god!!! What a relief I said. Then asked if she had a complete rebuild kit and she went back to being rude and asked ""Why do you need a kit?"" I explained other parts were broken. She then seemed to get more irritated with me and said she didn't have a kit and start grabbing other parts. By then I'd had enough and politely said you know what I'm just going to purchase a kit elsewhere. She really got PISSED then and accused me of ""Show Rooming her""!!!!!! I asked why she was so rude and she said I showed you what you need and now you are going to go somewhere else! She then said she wasn't going to say anything else because I had my little daughter with me. I really can't believe it, and remember I just was there for a toilet rebuild kit, hahaha that cost maybe $30 bucks! I spoke to the manager, an old timer, and said I just wanted to make complaint about her, and he heard me out and said thanks and that was about it, didn't seem too concerned, but was polite. I understand this may be a good option for contractors or actual plumbers, but if you are just a home owner stay away from this place, or at least beware if you are helped by that WOMAN! JEEZE!

Amazingly knowledgeable, patient and friendly family run store. It's the second time we've needed help figuring out how to fix/replace my parents' outdated 20+ yr old plumbing fixtures. First time we were helped by the father, this time by the son. And they've always come through in spades, thoughtfully thinking through everything we need w/o up selling us anything we don't. They have a nice range of budget to luxury fixtures plus a great sale/clearance bin. We will never go to Home Depot again for plumbing supplies.

They (amazingly) had the knobs we needed for our 1940s era shower. Saved us having to tear apart our walls!

East Sac Hardware referred me to these guys when I wasn't able to find the right Kohler cartridge to repair a leaky sink handle. I didn't bring the part in, but they easily identified the part I needed from a photo I had taken, and even demonstrated how to install for cold / hot handles! My trip there took 10 mins total, and saved me the $100+ that calling a plumber would have cost. My go-to plumbing supply store from here on out!

Excellent Customer Service. My Garbage Disposal stopped working and they helped me with identifying the problem, get me a new one and gave specific instructions on how to replace it.
I was able to do it with confidence. My trip to them easily saved me $150.

No stars if i could.
We came here yesterday looking for a few things for our half bath remodel. We walked into their warehouse and saw a female employee standing up leaning on a desk. We started checking everything out, and by the time we made it to the back of the warehouse we both had realized that she wasn't coming over to help us. Not only did she not help us, but the male employee sitting at a desk in the middle if the warehouse looked directly at me, then turned to her and started a conversation!
We walked through the entire place, and out the door without either of the two employees saying ONE word to us. Ridiculous.
Doesn't even rank with bad customer service. There just wasn't any to begin with. No worries. We spent our money at another Sacramento business.

NEVER BREAK A TOILET TANK LID!!!!!!
Never! Put that thing on the ground!! You go that?! Take that as a lesson learned.
I came here after calling maybe 10+ places and scrounging the internet to see what I could find that didn't require weeks of shipping or $$$. Our toilet was made back in the late 80's early 90's and even the manufacturer told me it was discontinued. Based on Yelp and a recommendation from a friend, I called them to see if they carried any spare lids, to which the employee responded with ""We have a bone yard""...uh ok.. I'll take what I can get.
I get there and there were two wide shelves full of white lids. They closed at 5, and I thought I was going to spend the next 3 hours going rack by rack to find something comparable. A minute into looking at the ""bones"" it was as if the toilet gods knew we were in trouble and sent in their angel/plumber/saint/brother(?). He took one look at the original tank lid and found the IDENTICAL one on the bottom of the shelf, stacked under two other lids!!! HOW DID HE DO THAT?!?!! Seriously. All he saw was the corner of that lid and he JUST KNEW it was the ONE.
I was fascinated and ecstatic all at the same time... over a toilet part. Never would I think I'd see the day. Clutching the new lid ever so tightly against my body, I walked over to the cashier in which he told me the final total was only $32. The internet prices I saw ranged $50-100!!! Double win.
I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Brothers plumbing store is the BEST!
