I would give a negative number if I could. We had a brand new unit put in a year ago and are having issues with it not keeping up. Brothers has told us they would be out for the last three days, and we still have not had someone out to look at our new UNDER WARRANTY unit. Also they give you a noon-8pm time frame. In this day and age that time frame is ridiculous. I spent thousands of dollars with them right at a year ago and now they are no shows.

I have schedule a service on both my AC Units that I purchased from Brothers as well as 2 Heating Units But that's another story. I scheduled them the first week of March 2019 and was told I would have to wait until April because they were busy. Ok No Problem. April came and at the end of their appointment window I called to find out where the technician was and was told that they will have to cancel because they are more important calls for people without AC. I was told it would be July before they would make it out. Now its July and again waited to the end of my Appointment window and nothing I called and again they had to cancel because they are too busy. You cannot tell me in 4 months you don't have 1.5 hours to service my AC Units which are still under warranty with you guys. Pathetic. I truly hope you guys do not make it another year in business. Oh and I got a different answer this time when it was asked if I can have another company come out and service it if it will affect my warranty. I was told yes last time and this time No

So I have an older unit about 18 months ago I had an issue and got the The condenser Fan motor replaced $150. A few years ago I had the Capacitor replaced. $29 for the capacitor and $60 labor. Brother Thech comes out says he thinks capacitor is bad asks if I want him to replace or if he should do it. Well I figure he is here on an $89 call out charge might as well replace it....turns out not the capacitor. So now he says its the motor...I say so the capacitor is alright then he says yes it is in tolerance but it is getting old....I ask how much for the capacitor he says a couple of hundred dollars....I say why he says it's how Brothers makes their money..and that the motor will likely be around $500. I say thanks but no thanks. I understand they need to make some money but mark up on parts he says I really should get a new unit because if the Motor has gone after 1.5 years the compressor is likely putting a strain on it...bottom line they want to sell me a new unit $6000 plus worth.

Pure garbage. New furnace and The new duct work that was installed was done very poorly. Since Sept 2018, they had to be called several times to remedy one situation or another. Poor air flow, barely any heat, unit kept tripping off because of the condenser unit, that was not replaced, was also not put in a secure place, off the constantly flooding crawl space ground. Repeatedly having to crawl under the house to cut the switch back on. Stayed cold most of the winter. Poor customer service. Called for a manager to come out and look at the unit and duct work. Told me it was regulation, but was willing to have service techs come out and tighten up the duct system. Should have been done right in the first place. Wanting to charge $3000 to fix the 5 year old ac unit, that was probably damaged because of the poor installation of the duct work. Asked for a full refund and remove what they did. The manager said """"he didn't handle that part, I would have to speak with a sales rep."""" Then said, """"you going to hire one man in truck to do the job then? Very unprofessional. Can not believe they are still in business with such poor quality of work.

I have used Brothers for about 17 yrs but as soon as our warranty expires on our AC/furnaces which we bought from them, I will be changing HVAC companies. Twice now I have scheduled annual maintenance for both my furnaces back in November and again in April for my ACs. In the fall, Brothers rescheduled my appointment twice because they were too busy to keep a cleaning/maintenance appointment. It happened again just recently. I had a scheduled appointment for my ACs to be cleaned and have their annual check and about one hour before the appointment they called and rescheduled. Same reason. I planned my day around this appointment the same as I did for the last three appointments for my furnace cleaning. Telling me there were too many people calling for heat repair in the fall and AC repair this month is not an excuse to cancel a standing appointment. Hire more technicians if you need to but keep your appointments! The company also has an annoying habit of trying to get their technicians to try and sell unneeded items, like attic door sealers and special lights to prevent mold in the furnaces. Every time they come, they try to get me to buy something. I am finished with this company.

I recently had some plumbing work completed and Idrees was amazing!!! However I would be careful before using Brothers for plumbing work because they don't quote you accurately and once the work is completed you get a surprise. I was quoted $279 for my bathroom faucet to be replaced (customer provided). I then went and purchased the faucet replacement from Lowe's. Idrees came out to complete the work and did an amazing job, however once the work was competed he informed me that there would be an additional cost for the pop-up in the amount of $260 (I cant remember the actual amount). I had to get the work done because he already replaced the faucet. It was very disappointing because I ended up over paying and was charged $480. I will definitely inform family and friends to get multiple quotes prior to going with Brothers. You should also get an estimate in writing prior to any work being done.

I was referred to them by Home Depot for a tankless water heater installation and it's their only Charlotte installer. When they called to setup a home consult I was informed they don't install tankless electric heaters, only gas. The reason provided was a blatant lie about efficiency with unsubstantiated claims that electric heaters are inneficient which is why they only install gas. This is entirely fictional (electric tankless are 99% efficient vs gas) and sounds like someone is getting kickbacks from the oil companies?? Not only do I not recommend Ars/Brothers but I'll also be now purchasing my water heater from Lowes since Home Depot apparently doesn't care who they are affiliated with.

I want to give full details as to why I'm giving this rating and break it down in two parts. 1) The initial visit for price quote and """"inspection""""- This is why I am giving this a 1 star rating. I was in the process of purchasing a hot water heater from Home Depot for replacement. The heater itself was around $400 with some discounts. HOWEVER, the salesman comes up with a quote of $2,200 while at my home!!! WHAT??!! Just to replace a hot water heater in a townhouse style condo, where the unit is outside in a closet??!! The salesman refused to give an itemized breakdown of the cost. After threatening to cancel the whole thing, the price mysterious gets to $1,000 + cost of the heater ($1,400.) This is extremely UNETHICAL! You can't just make up prices! I did end up going with brothers, but will probably not use them again because of the fact that I can't trust them. 2) The install- The plumber was extremely nice and went over a few things about the heater with me. The area was cleaned up nicely and done in prompt timing. This would be a 5 STAR RATING. I hope this catches you're attention. Long term customer TRUST is more important than an immediate cash flow.

We paid them to fix a shower drain and it wasn't even fixed 100% when the tech left. I lived with it until it was fully backed up again. When calling the company back to correct the same issue they wanted a trip fee and service fee to correct the issue. This was not fair to charge a customer twice to fix the same issue. Beware!
