If you use Brother's, I caution you before continuing to have them service your heating & air without getting a smaller local company to give you a second quote. No need to be dramatic, so here is what I was facing: my 9 yr ok'd TRANE heat pump wasn't putting out very warm air. Turns out the outside unit wasn't actually working and only the emergency heating coils were kicking in. Brothers came out, told me the upstairs unit was FINE, and then said the outside unit has a busted compressor......quickly offered a $3300'comoressor or perhaps a whole new unit for closer ton$6500-&10,000....... Today, Kirkland AC came out, sent two guys in case I needed a quote, one was a tech...both on time, not in a 4 hr window, on time exactly......tech tells me he has gotten my compressor working and while he can't guarantee life on a 9 yr old unit, everything is testing just fine......I need to have the coil cleaned (less than o$200) and in the attic, where Brothers saw no issues, apparantly the intake vent was loose and I'd been pulling air from my attic causing it to take much longer to heat the house....again, 10 min fix....... Brothers couldn't wait to get an estimator out for a new unit.......the technician obviously wasn't qualified or they hoped I wouldn't get a second quote. GET A 2nd quote! 3/19 update : would like to follow up that a very nice lady, Kala, called me from Quality Control to discuss my concerns...I outlined what teir guy found and what another company told me and fixed which was a stark difference and much less expensive....I didn't know they would do this but Kala is now refunding my $79 service call they charged me, apologized repeatedly for the bad experience and offered her direct number if I needed anything else. While I wasn't impressed that the technician didn't do his job well and incorrectly told me my compressor was broken....and luckily I got a second opinion, I will say the follow up was professional and refund of my service call fee was first class.

I've had several fantastic experiences with Brothers that deserve mention. I had to replace my house's original A/C & heating unit 9 years ago and decided to use Brothers. I had no problems until a year and a half ago when my A/C stopped working in the middle of July. My ex-husband and I had a 10 year warranty with them but I only learned then that my name had never been placed on it. BJ and the team bent over backwards to get the warranty documented back to me and saved me over $1,500 by doing so. That same warranty came in handy again when my heating strips went out this past month. Once again, I was saved another several hundred dollars. I must say too that BJ is one of the friendliest, most professional, knowledgeable repairmen I have ever worked with. I was so impressed with his most recent work on my unit and thankful for his help a year and a half ago that I called and gave him a long overdue commendation. Brothers appreciated it so much they sent me a gift card. I do my best to let supervisors know of their employees' great work and have never expected anything in return as I feel the excellent service is a gift in and of itself. Brothers showing their appreciation for my taking the time to thank them for their services shows how much they, in turn, value their customer relationships and has ensured that I will stay with them permanently.

Brothers Plumbing will over charge for their service. $1298 for 3 hours work and a $20 clean out pipe. I complained and was returned $350. I still think the final price of $318 per hour was excessive.

For the past ten years we have used Brothers and they were fantastic. Now not so much, they sold the company to ARS and it is like night and day. Just wasted day as I had an appointment scheduled between 12-1, at 1:15 I call and then after being on hold for 15 minutes I was told the tech was running late and that he should be calling me in about 45 minutes or so and that afternoon appointments can't be really be pinned down. I will never use them again, what is the point of asking me for every number I have if they can't use it to let me know they are running late

Well, I guess I'll never know... I found a special offer from brothers in my mail box and, after checking their alleged credentials, decided to give them a shot. We set an appointment for about 10 days later (their earliest possibility) at 2 PM. I took the afternoon off from work and was home by 1:30. At 3:45 PM, they called me to tell me that they were short handed and would come another day. Really ? I guess I'll never know.

We have been customers of Brothers for over 2 years and thought they were trustworthy. Well, they proved us wrong. We had a service agreement where Brothers came out quarterly for maintenance on our heating and air units. On Tuesday, Sept. 16th, a tech came and did regular maintenance and said all was fine, see you next quarter. On Sunday, Sept. 28th (only 12 days later), Patty noticed a terrible odor in the house. Since Brothers had done maintenance and couldn't think of any other cause of the odor, Patty called Brothers to come check it out. A tech came and said we had a crack in our heat exchanger and leak in our gas valve to the heating unit. Of course, with a crack in your heat exchanger, there's a chance of carbon monoxide leaking. Why did the tech who came on the 16th, not see this serious issue? This caused us to question Brothers service and wanted a 2nd opinion. We have some good Christian friends who knew a guy who used to work for Brothers and Morris Jenkins, however, he now has his own company so we called and had him come out the next day. Well, this Jim who owns Home Pros and Randy found that the Brothers tech had unscrewed and removed the light bulb in the attic and disconnected all the electronics from the units in the attic. Since this guy used to work for Brothers and Morris Jenkins, he said that is what they train them to do. Brothers and Morris Jenkins tell their techs to make the call worth their while, especially if they are called over a weekend! Isn't that nice!! Not!!! They figure if no one else can figure out the problem and you'd be forced to call them back. Jim found that the heat exchanger was cracked and gas valve did have a leak. Both of these could have caused serious health issues and possibly death since the tech did not find these issues on the 16th. Brothers also quoted to fix the problems for around $3,500 where Jim with Home Pros fixed it for $1,700, huge difference! Needless to say, we cancelled our contract with Brothers and do not recommend anyone using them. They can not be trusted.

Just had my annual furnace inspection and tune-up. My technician was Raverton H. He did an excellent job. Was efficient and thorough, especially while conducting the plumbing inspection. I felt comfortable that my furnace was given a solid inspection. Sometimes you have an AC or furnace inspection done and you wonder if you got your money's worth. With Raverton I feel that I did. I have been a Brother's customer for over eight years and see no reason to change.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Many many errors made by the service people such as leaving the cap off the Freon and it leaked out everywhere. They put the setting on for a 5 ton unit for our home which made it feel like a wind storm was going on. Took them years to figure out the problem. While the service men have all been very nice that does us no good when it's costing us money for their errors. Now here we sit in our hot house for 2 days with no air because they do not have the part in stock. The fan is broken most likely due to the fact that they had it on the wrong setting for such a long time. Do not give them your money! They took $10,000 from us!

After years of dealing with a really old and crappy HVAC system, we starting interviewing local companies for an entirely new system, top to bottom. ARS had a great presentation, good warranty, and good pricing. They won our business and we proceeded with the installation. Long story short, we are in the 8th month of the new systems and still dealing with them!!!! They have been out 11 times since April, including having to put in a different AC unit outside because they installed the wrong size and having managers come out because I discovered a leak in the attic as well as a part of the new system that was hanging from a stud by a plastic grocery bag tied to an electrical wire!!!! They do not deliver what they promise, always underestimate the time it takes to do the job, and have a lot of incompetent people working for them. Their work is sloppy (to say the least), and have terrible customer service. Being associated with the HOA of our community, we could have given then tons of business because of all our units in the neighborhood are getting old and need to be replaced, but in good conscious I could not recommend them to anyone for anything....EVER. I would recommend to stay away from this company for your HVAC needs.

Really Expensive and They sell you cheap device as top notch product. Will not use them again.
