Did not call. Showed up at our apartment the night before at around 8pm claiming we called them for some sort or leak with our washer. That they had pictures and needed to take a look. Turns out a neighbor in our complex had hired them for a water heater issue and they had the completely wrong address. They did inform us that our water would be shut off from 10am to 11am which was no big deal. They left our water shut off for over 3 hours passed the scheduled time do to some type of claimed valve issue. Massively inconvenient and frustrating. Even though we didnt hire them, if plumbing issues did come up in our household I would look elsewhere just from this experience of incompetence.

On the plus side, when I angrily called to ask what the issue was they were quite polite. So while their actual work leaves something to be desired, their customer service seems to be in a good order.

These guys are awesome! So on The night after Christmas I had a pipe that started spraying water outside my house. Of course every plumber in existence was off for the holiday. So I had to call one of the big commercial plumbers. When I went to turn off my water at the main water valve I also found out that it was still letting through 10% of the water so I would need to get that fixed also. That plumber wanted me to pay close to $1200 for the work. So anyways I passed and just waited until Monday to get it fixed. I left a message with Bower plumbing and they gave me a call first thing in the morning. They came over in less than an hour and had already started to work after they gave me a great price on the work(close to 1/3 of the other plumber). While they were working on my main water line valve they noticed my wife's garden and offered to put in a drip line pipe for free. Also the pipe that had been the original leak lead to a faucet that was sticking out too far from my house and was almost into the bushes so they shortened that and added a new faucet for nothing additional. We have a moen sink also that faucet head was on the fritz and he showed me how to do a quick warranty call about it and they shipped me the part the next day for free. These guys took a bad situation and made it a lot better. Thanks bowers plumbing!

THIS IS YOUR GO-TO PLUMBER!
For years I've looked for a good, reasonable, professional, responsive plumber. This is that plumber. They called me back the same day, came the next day and fixed the bathroom sink that was clogged (beyond Drano treatments). The drain runs better than it ever has now. While they were here, they offered to checked the other drains in the house for me. They charged me exactly what they quoted me, were quick, efficient, and professional. They left the area cleaner than when they came, making sure to wipe the area down when they were done cleaning out the drain. I have their business card and I will hold on to this as long as they are in business! :o)

I would rate Mel Bowers higher than a five, if I could. My water heater drain had cracked and was flooding my home. He came over almost immediately and went to work. It was an old WH but he didn't lecture me, instead he explained everything in detail to my daughter, who was interested and in summary to me. It's an old mobile home and he had to take out the floor under the WH and build a new one before he could install the new WH. He stayed until 11pm in order to get the hot water working for me! Then the next day he checked all the faucets for sediment. His helper, Dan, was great too

Our new age tank-less water heater failed. No hot water was to be had. But we were headed across the country and had to rely on a referred individual to help figure out the problem, and then, hopefully fix it.

Located in No CA, Mel Bowers provided stellar service by becoming our advocate while remedying the situation. He took pictures of the water heater to show where it faltered. He was then able to get the manufacturer to swap it out for an upgraded and brand new tank-less water heater. Conducting business with utmost integrity, the only fee incurred was for the time it took Mel to replace the old heater with the new.

The end result: We are now Mel's advocate posting testimonials online for he and his company. Outstanding service!

Can I just say that, I Love My Plumber!
Mel Bowers is not just the best professional plumber in the North Bay region of Sonoma County, but, what makes Bowers Plumbing great is customer service, attention to detail, professionalism, experience and most of all fairness and honesty to get the job done. This is my long over due review for Mel and Bowers Plumbing.

I was up at our cabin in Forestville and our tankless water heater started leaking (okay, gushing) water. The entire floor was flooded!

I called a couple of plumbers and was lucky enough to be referred to Mel. Fortunately for me, Mel is THE go-to guy for tankless water heaters. Mel called me back right away but unfortunately he was an hour away and also booked solid for the next couple of weeks.

Did that stop him from helping me? No way! He asked me to text him a picture of the problem. I texted him and then he walked me through how to get the leak to stop pouring out water. All in all about a dozen texts were sent and 6 phone calls were made and through Mel's expert guidance, I was able to get the leak down to a super slow drip. He told me what part I needed and I was able to go to the local hardware store and buy the part. Our neighbor was able to replace the part for me later on that afternoon.

Mel was extremely kind and patient with my plumbing ignorance. When I asked him where I should send a check he told me not to worry about it. Huh?!?! What?!?! I had taken up at least an hour of his time through phone calls and texts! He told me just to do something nice for someone else. Seriously folks, this happened! There are still amazing people in this world!

Honestly, 5 stars just doesn't do Bowers Plumbing justice. In situations like this, Yelp really needs to have 10 stars!

After issues with a leaking water heater, we were fortunate to have Mel Bower recommended to us-- a reputable, diligent and honest guy who operates with integrity! We did not realize the severity of our leak and ended up replacing our 10-yr old water heater, but Mel made the situation painless by disposing the old heater and purchasing/installing the new one. He was even open to helping us replace our kitchen faucet on the fly and shifted his schedule around to accommodate my family. It is very apparent that he has a passion for what he does and makes great effort to see to it that each customer is genuinely satisfied! Upon leaving, he even assisted my neighbor's teenage boys in capturing a garter snake, so it could be placed in a better habitat...what a guy!

Just saved me money! Rather than make a service call to see why my water heater wasn't working, Mel talked me through a couple trouble shooting steps and viola .... I've got hot water! Great customer service. I'll be calling again!

I have called Mel a few times now to service our tankless water heater and I am always impressed. He is responsive, helpful, and dedicated. He rebuilt our outdoor tankless water heater in the middle of a rainstorm, worked on the weekend to get it done in time for Christmas, and smiled the whole time. The last trip out for me he did not charge me because the problem I describe seemed to resolve itself. He could have charge me for the long trip to my house but did not. I cannot recommend him enough.
