This is a preliminary, but relevant, review.
We have a fairly complicated plumbing system -
a tankless system and a small preheater.
Many plumbing companies do not service these
systems - perhaps because of their complexity
(I really don't know).
What I do know is that when I called Bowers
to inquire if they serviced tankless water heaters,
Mel spent about 15 minutes on the phone
with me - asking about any problems, and
explaining potential causes. He was extremely
knowledgeable.

Now when was the last time you called a
plumber and received that kind of attention
before even hiring them to do the work?
I thought so.
I will add to this review when the work is
completed.

Tip: Bowers is in considerable demand;
you may have to wait a week or more for
service.

I recommend Bowers HIGHLY after my water heater failed and they had my back with the manufacturer to make sure not just parts were covered that also labor was covered. Mel went the extra mile and Dan was awesome to prioritize the work!

I have had Bower's Plumbing work at my house before so when my water heater wouldn't work, I called Mel at Bower's Plumbing.

Mel himself picked up the phone and after a brief conversation, he gave a suggestion of how to trouble shoot the problem myself which would save me money. Unfortunately it didn't work so I called again and we scheduled an appointment.

Mel called the water heater company and negotiated with them to send me the needed part for free. So once one of the technicians came over to replace the part, my water heater was in working condition.

I would very highly recommend calling Bower's Plumbing Service if you need work done with an honest company.

Cannot say enough fantastic things about Mel and his team. They installed a sink of ours 4 years ago and the hose just went out. Mel got on the phone and had the manufacturer replace the whole thing. Top notch work and at affordable prices. These guys will make sure what you get isn't the most expensive thing, but the right thing for you. And that is something I really appreciate in this day and age.

Earlier last year A.O. Smith referred us to Mel Bowers for a recall on our water heater. Mel sent Max out and the burner and control valve were replaced under warranty. I was really happy with their friendly service. Over time the water heater developed a problem and the pilot kept going out and we'd sometimes smell gas. I called Mel back and he jumped right on it. I was really pleased with the proactive action that Mel took with A.O. Smith in getting this covered and the burner and control valve again replaced under warranty. Mel also took a proactive stance with PG&E to look at and replace the pressure regulator. Mel took care of everything and I was really happy with his proactive efforts to make sure we nailed the problem, which after several weeks of no problems seems to be resolved.

Wow! Quick, responsive, prof and very helpful. I called on a Tuesday afternoon and left a message. I received a call back from Mel Wednesday morning, and by 1pm Dan was here fixing the problem.

Our hot water heater needed a new burner assembly as indicated by the flashing light code and was part of a recall, I found out. I had called Boden plumbing first since they're local to Sonoma and they were the helpful ones who alerted me to the recall. I submitted the required info to the recall website and was eventually given a list of authorized plumbers to fix the problem (Boden not among them). The nearest was Prushko plumbing so I called and spoke to Sam. He said he would order the part and call me. A week went by so I called only to get a recording that he was on vacation for another week. I called after his return and was told he was waiting on the part. A week later I called and he said he was having difficulty ordering the part. I then called the manufacturer and ordered the part myself and it arrived the next day. I left a message for Prushko letting him know I had the part and was ready for him to come out and install it. He left me a message that it would be another week before he could come out. That's when I called Bowers, the next closest plumber to Sonoma on the list (and it turns out he lives here in Sonoma).

August 2019 I was in need of a plumber and googled plumbers in Rohnert Park, so thankful I came across Mel and his crew they are the most professional, timely, diligent group of men and they follow up on their work I have used their services several times. On Monday morning I called my tenant had no hot water and Mel sent someone out and fixed the same day this is above and beyond since they are risking this Virus outbreak along with the rest of us.
I always receive a call back with the findings and recommendations.
