Needed routine water heater replacement - called Tom, he was very fast and responsive. Scheduled the replacement - Tom called day before to confirm. And the price quote he gave was very reasonable, better than most!

Ryan and Phat called before they left, and showed up on time. They were friendly, fast, courteous, professional. They had to move my stacked washer and dryer out of the way. Replaced the water heater, and then put back the washer and dryer. The price was exactly as quoted (FYI, they require full payment after service).

After they left, I ran the washer and realized it was now very wobbly - called Tom again, who immediately replied. Ryan and Phat returned within minutes, adjusted the foot of the washer, fixed the problem.

Now the water is nice and hot. I don't anticipate any issues, but if any arise I'll update the review.

All in all, a good, efficient experience. I'd use them again without hesitation!

I had a couple of simple things to get taken care of. I'm very happy with the service. They were on time, communicated well, and were extremely fast in taking care of my issues. The price was given to me up front.

Not budget plumbing at all. Came out to take a look at dripping pipe in basement. Charged 150 to do nothing.Technician took pictures and then went outside to call his boss for price. I thought that seemed shady. Wanted to reschedule to repipe everything for just over 6 thousand dollars. Offered a ""temporary fix"" for 850. We decided to shop around and thank goodness. We were able to get someone to fix all for 650.

They are busy and booked, but came and repaired a botched job on my water heater/boiler that another plumber abandoned.
While two other groups said they needed to repipe my entire house, Tom and his workers worked with what I had, redid what was necessary and made sure to pass inspection. They did all this in 2 days and for a third of the cost of others in my area. I will definitely work with them again.

I contacted Budget Plumbing the week of Thanksgiving because my Lochnivar Boiler system stopped working and water heater was leaking.
Tom arrived a few days later and was very knowledgable of the system and was able to repair the boiler system and replaced the water heater tank.

Tom was professional, pleasant and very honest. he informed me of my options and allowed me to pick the best one within my budget. He explained to me what caused the system to fail and what necessary steps to take in the future to avoid the same failures.

Finally a plumber that shows up when they say they will! I can't count the number of plumbers that I've called and said they will come on a given day and never show up. The ones that have come have quoted me one price to do the job and then want to charge more once finished or halfway through the work. Boston Budget Plumbing came when they said they would, looked at the job and gave me a price for the job with estimates of additional costs should they be needed and if I want them. They were also very tidy and quick. So glad to have a functioning bathroom again. I wish I had found them sooner.

My 33 year old boiler finally quit last week (leaking all over the basement floor). I called Boston Budget Plumbing and they were able to come out the next day, stop the leak, and go over the options. I decided to replace my boiler and water heater with an indirect system. During the time my heat was shut off they made an extra trip to provide space heaters. Tom, Tim and co were friendly, professional, and efficient in getting the old system removed and the new boiler and water tank in place- they cleaned up after themselves and marked the new system clearly. As someone who typically avoids my basement at all costs I am no longer afraid to see what I'll find down there. Very happy with Boston Budget Pluming, highly recommend their services!

Quick response, diagnostic and appreciated their candid feedback once the problem was found that we were better off doing the solution ourselves rather than having them do it. Only downside was the holes they left were a bit jagged making the patch job in the ceiling harder than needed.

I contacted 2 plumbing companies before reaching Boston Budget (and I reached them in error) as you will find out later in my story. Let me explain. My issue 3 radiators not getting warm at all - in the bathroom, my child's room, and the main living quarters hallway. The 1st plumber (who I know personally) try to resolve the issue 3 separate occasions- he stopped showing up & I stopped hounding him down. I was out $500 - not happy. So I called well known reputable company- they came out the following week (although I wanted someone asap). Their report & what they tried to explain was out in terms I could hardly understand. The only thing I understood was the boiler water level was low & they said whoever installed the boiler did not do it right. The wrote up a cost $3K! I talked with my grandpa (age 98) who resides with me for financial help - he told me to get another estimate. So this company also charged me $199 for coming out - I was caught off guard because this charge was not mention up front. So I decided to try Boston Standard I knew they lived in the neighborhood. I called early Friday evening got an appointment the following Tuesday - time slot 12-2. I took half day off but when 2:30 came I did not hear from them. I called because now I was getting a little annoyed no one called & I had taken half day off. This company let me know they were running a little behind on last job, but if I wanted they will still come - and so I said yes. About 3pm 2 young guys came over. I asked them to check out the furnace & then told them about the non working radiators. After checking out the boiler they told me about the low water level. I got a tune-up. The water level is back to normal & the workers also added 2 new valves to (2 of the 3) non working radiators. They explained the problem in simple terms. At this point they only got the bathroom radiator to work- and let me tell you I was very, very, happy! Then I was told the other 2 radiators -one in my child's room- but she's living on campus, and the other radiator located in main sleeping quarters hallway - these 2 should work in a couple of days to a week or so (house is very big). And if not, I should give them a call. So I checked those 2 radiators before I went to sleep and they were still stone cold!

Well here's the really good part. The next morning I had a different feel in my room. I got up, walked in the hallway- touched the radiator-it was steaming hot! I walked into my child's room and that radiator was steaming hot!
All the radiators were finally working!
Then as I was having breakfast the invoice caught my attention. It read: Boston Budget! I was thinking maybe Boston Standard changed their name....No I unknowingly contacted Boston Budget instead and I am so glad I did!!! I know this review is long, but I think it's important for others to get the full story so they can know how to move forward. I went from being told it would cost $3k to paying less than $500!!!
Those young men knew what they were doing and talking about. It only took them a couple of hours and they displayed great professionalism. I am keeping Boston Budget and I highly recommend this company!

Tom and BOSTON Budget came within an hour of calling them for an emergency service and were able to replace my water heater and service my furnace within 12 hours of calling them! Highly recommend, fair price and better service!
