I had two furnaces that were not working well, with the heating system not working efficiently. I called them and set up an appointment for them to come in the next morning. They came on time and offered a discount for doing a tune-up on both boilers. Not only did they fix the issues with the boilers, but they also found a serious safety problem with the chimney. These guys are experts and are good at troubleshooting! Price is a little above average, but you get expert trouble shooting and timely fixes.

We have used Tom and his guys for many things over the past four years and been very happy with quality and price. Recently, while selling our house, the new buyer sent in their guy to look at some plumbing work because the (silly) inspector had called some things into question. The independent plumber indicated that the work that had been done by BBP was excellent. And then, in our new house, after hearing from about three general contractors that we were going to have to invest some serious money, Tom came and took a look and said it all looked great, and walked away without a dime. He could have trumped up some reason to replace some stuff, but didn't - we are loyal clients for life!

I had spent weeks with GE warranty support and other plumbers in troubleshooting my water heater problem. I finally was ready to pay for a new water heater and installation fee before I contacted Boston Budget. But, they were able to use my warranty on the water heater and got me a new one. Extremely professional service, they removed the old one out and took it to Home Depot replaced it and installed the new one. Thanks to Tom, I was able to save on the cost of a new water heater.

Hey Tom, team, just following up with a word of thanks for your efforts

Called Boston budget under difficult circumstances, Steam boiler simply gave up! it was a thursday night, heading into a chilly (nov) weekend and the holidays right around the corner, and I HAVE TO CALL A PLUMBER to rerplace my heating system, good bye holidays right?
NOPE, just call Tom Phan at Boston BUDGET plumbing (actually did a search forget the enging that brought me to Tom)... anyway
Thursday NIGHT, Tom shows up at the house, does a full expection, talks to me about the how, when, $$$. Typically this conversation is sickening... NOT WITH Tom,
He would bring a team in this weekend to PULL the old boiler ( and throw away), bring in New Boiler install, check all the steam radiators, and provide additional 'follow up' as necessary.
My 1st comment, OK, tell me how much outside of the weekend ( thinking the EXTRA $$ may be hidden in weekend cost, NOPE, not with Tom)
I nearly fell off my seat, I could immediately realize I was talking/dealing with an honest man who simply wanted to work. THE Price was the closure on the deal!!!
ok, so, half $$ down, good guy with great promise, outlined dates, and expectaitons... time to see the real world right? after all he is a contractor.. do they care about the customer and keeping commitment?
aaah, YEA!
08:00 Sunday Morning, Tom and crew show up at the house ready to work, and work they do, old system out, GONE!,
New system in (Same day) and IF I'm not mistaken to do the job RIGHT, they had to place the bolier in backwards to old system, completely repipe, GAS, Water and Steam pipes, all completed same day, and NEVEr, NEVER, the typical, oh we ran into this issue and guess what more $$ from you! NOPE
Job done, work area cleaned, al the old GONE!
Tom then, came into the house, explained the 'what could happen' what to look for, and HOW to fix any concerns (typical house hold stuff, not what he just did)
well, its all working better than it had in years, and my holidays werent stilen by a contractor, but saved by an honest and hard working Man Tom Phan and his team!

I hired BBP to remove / re-install a steam generator. Tom Phan did a great job. He was professional, courteous, and double-checked everything he did, giving me peace of mind. The total cost came in below the estimate he gave me, and I got a FREE replacement toilet seat just as they promised! BBP will be my ""go to"" plumbers in the future.

I had a shower issue where the water would not turn off and could not go from drain to shower mode. I called Boston Budget Plumber and they called back within 2 hours and made it out the next day, which was great. I called another plumber on yelp and they still have not called me back!!! Tom from Boston Budget plumber came in (was on time and called before arriving) and within an hour found the problem. He did not have the parts but ordered them and replaced them within a week.
All and all was great, Tom was easy and nice. My only negative comment would be the price, it was around 415 bucks for literally 2 hours of work and some interal plastic pieces and I think this is very high. He did state he was going to send me a check for 50 bucks but I havent seen it yet (been a week and a half). The price is what is keeping me from a 5 star rating.
