Borges Sewer and Drain Cleaning

My sewer backed up into my 150-yo basement, spilling raw sewage all over the floor. Borges, who was highly recommended by multiple neighbors, came out right away and determined that the old clay sewer pipe was broken and had to be replaced right away. Because of Covid-19, all emergency construction had to be certified by the city, so Steven busted his butt getting the approvals we needed. His crew started ASAP and did the entire huge job in one day! Turns out the situation was complicated and the plumbing inspector required additional repairs; Borges did those (another huge job) the next day. They prioritized my problem and even cleaned up the raw sewage and disinfected the work site. The guys were all highly competent and very professional. Borges is a full-service company who does everything from pipe fixing/replacement to repairing the street and sidewalk after enough. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The whole Borges team is excellent, first job they came out to do for me was with Steven and a two men crew and they worked with our timing and did a phenomenal job. The whole crew was great and respectful. We discovered another problem with the sewer line further down (with the camera) and it turned out this problem was connected with 2 other neighbors. This time an even larger crew came out (while it rained the whole time). They broke up the road, fixed everything, repaired it all, plus fix the road well within one day. The supervisor from Arlington was present and commended the team on their great work as well. The dad who started the family company 40 years ago has instilled a great culture and spirit in this company.

Steve and John were really amazing and I can't thank them enough! I needed to have my main water line replaced immediately as it was damaged and leaking. I also had to have my ""whole house trap"" removed as it was clogging up. Even though they had two other jobs going on they were able to get to my house and fix the issues before the problems worsened. Steve was very responsive and returned all my phone calls, texts, and emails as we coordinated to ensure the timing of the work to be done. Steve and John were completely professional and courteous as were their entire team. When the job was completed, I could not believe how clean they left my basement. Definitely a five star rating!

They fix the pipe and were incredibly professional and efficient. Fixed it all in one day. Restored everything to exactly what it look like before. I could not have been happier. They quickly identified the issue and got me on the schedule. They did such a thorough job. They did everything they said they would do in a very neat and professional way. I usually don't write reviews, but feel compelled to leave one for the exceptional service we received from Stephen Borges.

Details: This review is for work done on June 7, 2019. Our sewer line became clogged and after getting an emergency plumber to do a house visit and fix the issue, we were told that the running trap needed to be replaced. I called around to get quotes and Borges's came in lowest. All the positive reviews on Yelp helped us decide to go with Borges.

Stephen and his team came to our house at the appointed time. They setup and quickly got to work. He consulted me on several items and patiently explained any work I had questions on. Not only that, he anticipated a potential problem with an old, leaky water meter and suggested I contact people in my town's (Arlington) facilities department. After completing the work, he proceeded to wipe and clean up the area he worked on. He left it cleaner than when he started! Highly recommend Borges for your sewer and drain cleaning needs.

During busy summer 2018, six weeks after his video inspection, Stephen Borges and his crew installed an excellent new sewer line, replacing driveway asphalt, and keeping the granite border in tact. When the crew asked for bags of sand from my garage to finish the job, I gave them, and they reassembled my walkway pavers! (All local contractors were busy for at least 6 weeks, and some are friends who talk, so Stephen Borges probably heard that I was asking for multiple estimates. Borges quoted a low price, then reduced his price by the cost of the inspection when reminded of this promise.)

We had an excellent experience with Borges. I had a water meter replacement scheduled on a Wednesday morning. The town tech took one look and said you better replace this ASAP, and his foreman agreed. Borges came highly recommended, I called the next morning and had a callback after lunch and an inspection scheduled for first thing Friday, the next day. Steve came out first thing Friday, gave me the lowdown and price estimate, no run-around.

Borges managed to fit my job in the following Thursday morning. The service pipe and shutoff were in real tough shape, i.e. very corroded. We were lucky. They replaced the service and were finished by noon. I am very happy with the service and can't recommend them more highly.

Steve and his brother Kevin were easy to work with. It's a nice family business.

1st off, I do not do reviews. I read reviews but don't offer any. However, I feel the need to let people know that Borges is a ""superior"" company. We had Steven here early summer and he did a job for us & was great. This time he returned and did a big job and we asked him to come back later and replace add'l pipes. He and his group are incredibly efficient, professional, friendly, and ""clean"". His fees are reasonable and he responds to your call quickly. We referred Borges to a friend, Pete and he feels the same way. He was so glad we referred him to Steven. I am quite confident we will never, ever, think about calling anyone but Borges for any plumbing problem we may encounter again.
