Like the other reviewers here, Mrs. Cheesemonger and I are extremely pleased with the service from Ed from Bonafide Plumbing.

He answered his phone promptly, listened to my problems, made an appointment, showed up exactly on time, fixed the problem quickly and for a reasonable price.

He left his workspace neat and clean, was polite, friendly, and we will definitely use him again.

We will recommend him to our friends and will also use him for any plumbing issues that may come up at Farmstead Cheeses and Wines.

I called at about 9pm and spoke to a very helpful plumber who talked me through my garbage disposal problem, which I was able to resolve myself, free of charge. I will definitely call again if I have another problem.

I had sewage backing up in my basement bathroom and laundry room the day after Christmas. We called Bonafide about 5pm on a Saturday and Ed came right over and took care of the problem at a much lower cost than I feared. Ed was great, and I'd call him again in an instant.

I signed up for Yelp just to rate Ed - he was that good. He showed up on a Sunday when no one else was returning calls. When he arrived he was professional, and kept trying different things until he figured out how to unclog our kitchen sink. This was huge as we were in the middle of a Christmas party. His bill was reasonable and I learned that he lives in Alameda. I'll definitely call him again (but hopefully won't have to). Thanks Ed!

I had a clogged kitchen sink and just had too many dirty dishes to wait through the weekend. I called Ed on a Saturday night at 9pm and he came right out. Fixed my clogged sink and my cold water flow. Pricing was very reasonable. If need a plumber, this is your guy!

We are remodeling our laundry room and master bath room and had to replace some old pipes, add a sink and drain, hose bibs etc. While looking at our project, Ed was able to make a recommendation on how to do the laundry room first and allow us to wait until later for the bathroom. He did a great job with our project and finished it all in one day. Ed is courteous, always answered the phone when I called him, explained everything to us so that it was clear, and the kicker...he has very reasonable prices! He even came back twice to fix an issue related to the crummy faucet I bought.

If you are in need of a plumber I highly recommend Ed!

We have roots in our pipes :( . So, we see Ed on a regular basis these days as he clears them and gets everything draining. He also arranged with a colleague to send a camera down to get images of the damage in case we want to approach the city about the damage a city tree is doing. I was told this process can cost of $1000. We were charged less than a quarter of that!

As always Ed continues to do a great job with a lovely demeanor and a reasonable price tag.

Awesome service. I called on a Saturday, when no other plumbers would pick up their phones and Ed came within 15 minutes, fixed the job, and made sure it was right before leaving. It was a big job and inexpensive at that. I highly recommend!

We called first thing on a Sunday morning...as in...before 8am...for a leak under our sink. Half our bathroom was flooded and we called a slew of folks who all could not come out on a Sunday. Ed, however, answered on the first ring, came right out (it's 8:37am and he's done!), and even offered us a warranty on his job!! Very nice guy, too. THANKS, ED!!!!!!!!

As good as it gets!

An outdoor faucet wouldn't turn off. Seemed simple enough but, after turning off the water to the house, I couldn't get the 40 year old faucet off! Called my normal plumber (A.T. Weber). They couldn't get here until the next day. 24 hours is a long time w/o water (do-able but not if I can get someone here sooner.) When I asked for someone local who might be able to come today, they mentioned Bonafide Plumbing.

Long story short ... Edward called; arrived 2 hours earlier than he'd predicted; had it fixed in 5 minutes and was on his way. He even showed me precisely how he removed the faucet (when I told him I'd tried w/o success ... I so appreciate learning these things!)

Nice guy, decent price, quick efficient and timely service ... what more could I ask? Thanks, Ed!
