Eddie is simply the best plumber around. Over the last 5+ years of home ownership, we've challenged him with some of the strange and difficult problems that come with living in a 100 year old house. Gas pipes leaking out of a cement wall, water pipes falling apart from electrical charges, driveway sump pumps, it's an impressive list. And he's handled all of it with creativity and professional execution. Best of all, it's always a collaboration, so you can make informed choices. I had a water hammer problem. I got Bonafide plumbing's name from our Next door member. He came with exceptional recommendations. I already had two plumbers, each trying to tweak my water pressure or recommending draining the system. And these other plumbers had reasonably good reviews.
Ed came in, sat there watching the piping and in a few minutes figured that the problem was one with the valve. He changed the valve and away went the problem. I waited a month and a half before I got around to writing the review.

I have worked with Bonafide Plumbing for about two years now. The first job in 2018 was a natural gas line extension to connect a new gas stove. This was done quickly and expertly. They also did a water heater replacement right after Christmas! The next two jobs were to repair a rusty pipe on the drain line under my sink and a recent emergency call out on a Saturday when I had a burst supply line also under my kitchen sink. Both of the water repair jobs were done with full COVID-19 precautions in place while my young kids were elsewhere in the house. Edward is friendly, knowledgeable and always professional. Bonafide Plumbing, Edward is a one man machine! I can't enough good things about his work and him as a person.

If you have plumbing needs then try to schedule him. He is a Alameda local who cares. We called him for his service on a few projects we had done at our house (move outside pipe longer about 10 feet to attach a new spigot, repiped our laundry room to have a industrial sink/ moving dry vent, and shower leak). Each time the quality of work was professional, honest, and knowledgeable in what needs to get done. He always gave us the choices we can decide in getting the issue resolved.

His rates and prices are one of the best. We called a few plumbers around the East Bay before finding bonafide. He is our go to plumber and we definitely would recommend him.

Bonafide plumbing was great. The whole process was very easy for me. He was friendly and easy going, showed up on time and wore a mask and gloves the whole visit, so I felt completely safe regarding Covid-19. I had two faucets to install and the whole things was done very quickly and well. He explained his work to me which I also appreciated and showed what was causing the problems with my old faucets. Even fixed by broken toilet paper dispenser as surprise. It had fallen off the wall a week ago and I didn't have the proper tools. Highly recommend.
