In 1923, the founder, William E. Bolton Sr. transitioned from the railroad industry to manage the building of the heating and cooling system for the Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel. He worked as its maintenance engineer for a limited time after completion. In 1925, the founder founded Bolton Company to install and support coal-fired heating and commercial refrigeration for local dairies and meat production companies.

From those humble beginnings, each successive generation of the Bolton clan has contributed to develop, enhance, and maintain our legacy to high standards and honesty. Now humbly providing our customers with heating, AC, pipe services, general contracting, electrical, and backup power solutions. As this company enters its fourth generation, with William E. Bolton III at the lead, our crew will endeavor to enhance what is already one of the most trusted names in the state's construction sector.

The youngest of William E. Bolton III's offspring, the youngest son, Mark Bolton joined Bolton Construction & Service of WNC, Inc. after earning a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
