I should've read this review before dealing with Mike. It's all facts. Unreliable, quick talking (tells you what you want to hear),doesn't respond...#repost

I wrote a review previously about how Mike was a no show, no call for a scheduled appointment. He did not respond to calls or texts either. After seeing my review weeks later he reached out in an effort to correct the problem. I scheduled with him, and he came out to do a minor odd job, constantly bringing up the yelp review at every opportunity. I deleted the review, but waited to see if he would continue be responsive, giving him an opportunity to prove the first no show was an accident. I also wanted to see if he would continue being passive aggressive about my now lack of a review, although he should have just been grateful that I deleted the negative review. Sure enough I called, left messages, and texted again about an additional job... He never responded. The first time was not a fluke. He is not dependable

I had a leak inside the wall of an upstairs bathroom that caused damage to my walls and downstair ceiling. My husband called a few plumbers, and they all said they would have to rip out all these walls to make the repair, but could not do wall repairs. Thankfully, my neighbor refered me to Blue Shirt Handyman. I called and spoke to Mike; he gave me a free estimate, same day repair on the plumbing, and came back the day after to fix the walls, it looks like nothing ever happened. Mike's price was lower, including wall repairs, and most importantly, I am happy with the results and his customer service. Would definitely recommend him to everyone I know.

Mike is a professional I've asked around for work to be done at my house and everyone I asked was overpriced but when I called Mike he came over looked at what needed to be done didn't give any BS, charged a fair price I'd recommend anyone won't dissapoint.

Several months ago I requested Mike to repair a leaking shower stall. The charge for the work was $80 and was paid in advance. The work was never done. Forgetting Mike's company was Blue Shirt Handyman, and not Mike S Handyman as I had logged in my phone I called the number for Blue Shirt Handyman per his online ad. I did recognize his voice and we did discuss the previously ordered work. The matter was more or less resolved. Feeling that everyone deserves a second chance I hired Mike to repair a furnace. He went to the house checked out the job and assured me that he could make the repairs. He told me that he would pick up the required parts and complete the job on the following day. As with the first job Mike was again a ""no call no show"" leaving two elderly tenants without heat. As with the first job I attempted to call Mike several times. He returned none of my calls. Very unreliable! No way to run a business.

Always be sure to check for a valid Contractors license, general liability insurance and workers comp insurance before signing a contract.
Buyer beware! You have no legal recourse if someone is not licensed. If someone was hurt while working on your home, you, the homeowner, are liable.

I first hired Mr. Serrano January 2016 for a leak on my roof. He gave me 2 options and we went with the most affordable. 2 months later (march) the patch work he did, did not hold up. He guaranteed it would work for 2 years as he mentioned on my receipt that he hand wrote.
I had tried to get a hold of him, he was hard to find but emailing him thru yelp , he returned my message and then gave me a number wherr he could be reached. He told me was in a accident and couldn't work for 2 weeks, but that he needed time to get money for he can give me my refund. 3 weeks later this is now in end of March, I called him back to see when we can meet up or for him to drop off my money. He has yet to return my calls or emails. Now when I looked at a comment posted 19 days ago he was ""supposably"" not able to work. I am very upset with how he treated me and i just want to warn others. Do not let his ""good talk behavior"" get to you. I don't want another person to fall victim to his work.

Mike took care of business! I told him the house would be rented out soon and I needed some drywall patching done and he did it. Mike took care of the job and made it look like new. The next time I have a problem with one of my rental properties I will definitely call him.
