Had several email and telephone exchanges, and clearly specified that our location is in Bakersfield. Set appointment for 1/23/2020 and received a call that he was unable to do the job because he didn't do work in Bakersfield becuase ""his permit didn't allow it."" Should clearly note in listing that only does work in immediate area to Lancaster. It's not clear at all.

I had a great experience with this company. Mike is very professional. I needed to have a emergency repair completed and he was very upfront and honest about the price. Also about the time scheduled to show upp. He was punctual and was able to follow up regarding the repair. Finding a contractor can be very stressful and time consuming. Bought an over the range Samsung Microwave (Home Depot $190.00) that required a professional install. After getting 2 quotes and no call backs I found Blue Shirt Handyman on Yelp. When I spoke with Mike and told him about the price from two other handymen, he was positive and didn't try to shoot the other guys down just to close a deal. This impressed me. It let me know that if I did hire him that he possessed character which is hard to find. So, after conversing we agreed for a time the next day. The following morning, he called me and asked if he could come an hour early! Being a military guy I was even more impressed!! He showed up with great energy, his dad also came and was very nice. I gave him a retainer to assure him that I would not be writing a check but paying cash so he wouldn't have to worry about scams that some customers try and pull. Once completed, I was happy with the install and plan on calling him back again when my wife and I come up with more projects. If your looking for above average communication, industry standard work at an affordable price & overall a family oriented handyman who's hard working, honest & driven then I would recommend this company to those who appreciate professionalism & good service.
