The first week of March 2018 we talked to a representative of Blue Planet Plumbing, Chula Vista, California, about installing a tankless water heater in our garage to replace the old one that was there. The representative told us that all the installations that are being done now are installed in the attic above the ceiling. It sounded like a good idea at the time so we agreed to have him install the water heater in the attic above the ceiling in the garage. The water heater failed within 24 hours. The plumber came to the house and reset the water heater then told us that there was probably air in the gas line and that's what caused it to malfunction. He assured us that it would be working properly. It failed again within 24 hours. Another plumber came and reset the water heater. The major problem about resetting the water heater is that we have to get a ladder to climb into the area above the ceiling and then crawl on your hands and knees to where the water heater is in order to reset it. My wife and I are senior citizens and it would be impossible for my wife to climb into the attic to reset the water heater every time it fails and very difficult for me. The plumber spoke to us about the problem and assured us that he had a solution. He installed a condensate pump and told us that would be the end of our problems. The water heater failed gain. We contacted the owner of Blue Planet Plumbing and told him that we wanted the water heater removed from the attic and placed on the wall in the garage where the old one was. They complied with our request. The water heater is working fine now and can easily be reset without a ladder or climbing into the attic. They were dishonest about why the water heater was failing. We are dissatisfied with the overall service and installation and would not use this plumbing company again or recommend this plumbing company to anyone.

Compared to the other quotes we received, Tito was very detailed with his quote and explained how our water heater was different and the reason it would cost more than a regular water heater (air inflow and outflow went through a 7 "" aluminum pipe). The other quotes said they would make it work and just wanted to start as soon as possible.I watched the whole installation and was impressed with his dillegence and taking the necessary time to good a good job. Based on Tito's handling of the job, I would recommend Blue Planet Drains and Plumbing.

I worked with Tito on some heavily clogged outdoor drains. He worked for hours into the night trying to unclog them, and when it go too dark to look at all possible options, he returned first thing in the morning with extra help until everything was cleared out, and kept me informed during the process via text/photos. He was extremely courteous and professional, and despite the problem being much bigger than initially expected, he didn't charge me anything over the initial estimate. I would absolutely trust them with similar work in the future.

I have been waiting after eater flooded my kitchen . Water pours out a15 year old stinky garbage disposal. I just tried to arrange replacer of leak ( no water leaking from pipes just garbage disposal .
I asked what the approximate charge would be and whether the Plummer would bring a new garbage disposal . Although we have usually gotten them at Home Depot and installed ourself , currently disabled live alone . Just trying not to delay the sink from worjmung . Phone lady said she would schedule free bid on necessary repairs of both leak I. Kitchen and my water heater which I wanted pilot light cleaned as hot warning from SDGE
She said if a garbage disposal were needed they would have to come
Back after I signed fir devices in his bid.

I found this huge bragging ads on line about how Blue Planet is so fast efficient and fair
Not in my book I was to wait until
Thursday Problrm started late on previous Friday . I can't find any Plummer to arrive and even rip me off
. They should change their advertisement to slow service non empathetic and I would be glad to
Buy my own disposal Any Competent t Plummer who can replace old one . Can have the job I have money Plummerss are too
Greedy in this economy . Call these guys fir piece meal charging .

My local plumber advised that I needed some Hydro jetting for my main drain. I looked online and called Blue planet. They have a free Evaluation policy and the technician arrived right on time

Fernando was amazing. When we were at our wits end, due to a plumbing emergency that wasn't being resolved. The other companies were slow to respond & their plan to resolve the issue involved extraordinary means, such as removing the exterior siding of the house. Blue Planet came in found an effective fix that did not involve major demolition. In addition the plumbing problem was fixed in one day. Fernando was great at staying in touch to make sure everything was going as planned. When the project was completed he came by to check in making sure we were happy & the job was completed to his specifications. His plumbers Mike & Rene were experienced and knew what they were doing. I can not recommend them enough.

Absolutely awful. They serviced our house for a clogged kitchen sink and then talked us into scoping and putting a line-out in the backyard. They tried to convince us to put in new pipes (so they could make more money, obviously) but they told me part of the problem looks like it might be in the city's part of the pipe (which we're not responsible for). I asked them to submit a plumbers report to the city because that's what you do when you discover an issue or potential issue in the city's line. They told me they would submit the report and we should hear from the city in a few weeks. I've called Blue Planet several times to check on the status of the report being submitted because it's been SEVERAL months and we have yet to hear anything. They always tell me they'll call me back but they never have. I wouldn't trust them.

I would give them no star to be honest.

Don't waste your time calling this company. They don't know what customer service is, and they don't respect appointment times. I had their technician Nick scheduled to come from 12-2 and he called off work that day, so I got a call at 0930 saying they can't send anyone else. So of course i had to reschedule again and this time I asked for the 10-12 timeframe. Their manager, Luz, was so disrespectful that she kept talking while I was talking and she was being rude to me. I was trying to explain that Nick is already late for his appointment with me and that I had made plans after his time slot.

This company is obviously unprofessional and not customer-friendly. Too bad Google advertised this company first on my search, I should've called another company. Not to mention that they were offering me a crappier faucet for $160 or $260, like seriously? I opted to go to Home Depot instead and grabbed myself a cheaper faucet for less than $100. Don't take their offer for replacement parts until you've looked around. I know they're out to make money but they're abusing their customers.


UPDATE: they cancelled my appointment after I posted this review on their social media accounts. Btw, it's my right as a consumer to provide my opinion. This is a free country after all!!!

I understand your point as a business, however, if you really wanted TO earn my business, your Manager Luz shouldn't have canceled my appointment after I expressed my comments on your social media accounts. Who knows, I might have changed my rating had you shown me that your company was worth waiting for. Instead, I kept getting interrupted by Luz As I was explaining my concerns, maybe you need to hire a professional that knows how to deal with irate customers. I didn't intend to be one but you guys kept canceling my appointments.
