It's been ask/answered a number of times, but wanted to share my great experience with Gilbert at Blue Dragon Plumbing. He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, clean and very reasonable rates - ticks all of the boxes. His rates are very fair and published on his website. I really didn't want to use the larger commercial firms based on all of the horror stories. Glad I chose Blue Dragon. It's just Gilbert, so he is not equipped to handle emergencies / same day issues, IMO. But if you can schedule out a few days, it's totally worth it to work with him.

We had a leaky shower... I had Delta send me the replacement cartridge under their lifetime warranty, and had Gilbert install it. Took about 30 minutes and cost $165, which was his first hour rate. Very satisfied customer.

My landlord arranged for Gilbert to fix a leaky faucet that he was unable to take care of himself. He came out w/in 45 minutes, cleaned out the faucet so that it went from clogged non-functional to functional w/in 5 minutes and left saying "... I'm not even gonna charge you...". Then came out again the next day to replace the necessary 3-way valve in the faucet. Competed within 15-30 minutes. Very pleased w/ the experience, even if it wasn't my money. This guy is now my new plumber for as long as I live in Austin.

Unbelievable service. I had Gilbert on the phone in the morning with a leaking pipe and PRV issue. He was out in my yard by that afternoon in the scorching heat digging and fixing the leak. Fixed the issue in no time, charged me a very fair price, and was on his way. He even changed out of his sweaty clothing in his work truck before entering the house to complete the paperwork. Really professional and personable. I will not be using any other plumber in town from now on. Truly a great experience with Gilbert and Blue Dragon Plumbing.

Gilbert is amazing, Knowledgeable, fast, great personality, and reasonably priced. started with a D/W I was going to replace, but I discovered my Kitchen faucet was leaking and had destroyed the cabinet bottom. Bought a replacement faucet but an old garbage disposal was in the way making an awkward job even harder. decided to call in a pro. Called in the morning and I was lucky he was in my area that afternoon. Came in and efficiently removed the disposal unit and leaking faucet, installed the new faucet and re-piped the drain where the disposal had been. Quick, clean and professional. Will use him again and whole heatedly recommend this guy.

A few years ago, I had Gilbert replace my hot water heater. He said I needed a commercial large water heater for a two bedroom condo, I did not argue but questioned why. Now I am discovering (via another plumber), I have no shut off valve on that hot water heater. II considered him a decent plumber but now I do not.
After speaking with Mr. Jimenez, I was informed the plumber who said the water heater needed a valve was mistaken. The shut off is controlled by a sensor and will cut off water automatically if it detects a leak.
So, my apologies to Mr. Jimenez for writing a negative review. He contacted me immediately after receiving the compliant, listened then explained why the other fellow was wrong.
