I called at 9am with a broken disposal and he was here at 1:30pm. So friendly and helpful. I thought I needed something roto-rootered, and he showed me I didn't and how to fix it myself. Really nice guy and fair priced- I can't say enough good things about Gilbert!!!

Like so many others, I was looking for a reliable plumber so I scoured the five star recipients carefully. I got voicemail with the first two I called which could be a good sign if they were busy but I needed someone now. My third call was to Blue Dragon and Gilbert answered the phone. I am so glad I didn't get the first two because Gilbert is great and I would recommend him to anybody!

My first call to Blue Dragon was for my relatively new, low water flush toilet that decided to flush on it's own in the middle of the night. I figured it needed a new valve in the tank but my days of getting under the tank and doing such repairs are over. Gilbert understood the problem and asked me to send him an email with address and phone number details. I thought that was a bit odd at first but then it made sense if he is his own staff and scheduler. I was at work and my wife at home so I wasn't going to be there to meet him. He came by and looked at the toilet that day and admitted he wasn't familar with that model of toilet but adjusted the valve. My wife was impressed with his honesty and professionalism. In addition, he did not charge us for the call since he was here for a short time and it was only a minor adjustment. Over month later, the toilet is working great.

We had our kitchen remodled a few years ago by a company who apparently did not know plumbing as the goose neck under our sink has come apart periodically. I have put it back together but it doesn't stay for very long. So, a couple weeks ago, I thought I would call Gilbert and see if he would look at it. It was the same scenario: I called, sent him an email, he showed up later that day. He greeted my wife with a familiar smile and looked under the sink. He discovered the PVC parts used for the new sink were not the correct size and that's why they would not stay connected. He left to get the right sized parts and came back and repaired the situation. The pipes are solid as a rock and the bowl under the new goose neck has been dry since the day Gilbert left.

If you are looking for a plumber, look no more. Gilbert is fantastic!

I hired Gilbert to move the hot/cold lines and drain in my powder bath to enable installation of my new vanity. He came out right away to do an estimate and then worked the job into his tight schedule. His price was great and no problems with the job--he works fast and cleans up after. The job entailed his moving the lines and then coming back to do the install after I finished my part (texturing and painting the wall), and he was super about staying in touch and scheduling his return. Will use Blue Dragon again for sure.

Excellent work from Gilbert on short notice replacing my garbage disposal. He came over and looked at my disposal to make sure it was broken before he told me what disposal to purchase (a less expensive one to save me some $). He did all this before he charged me a penny. Installation was done the next day and was quick and well done. Will be using his services again.

Gilbert is GREAT!!!! After calling 3 other plumbers and setting up appts and having them NO SHOW even with great reviews I was ready to be let down. However, he was timely, professional and quick. He could of easily taken his time and made sure he got paid for another hr. of labor but he very punctual. Most importantly he was personable. The worst thing is having any kind of technician in your home who is rude or short with you. Gilbert was very nice and pleasant to be around as he thoroughly explained what i needed to do next.

I'd refer him to anyone and his magnet is staying on my fridge for anything in the future.

GOOD TO KNOW HE ALSO DOESN'T CHARGE EXTRA FOR AFTER HOUR EMERGENCIES!!!! HUGE BONUS! OTHER COMPANIES KILL YOU ON THAT!!!

Gilbert is amazing! I discovered water leaking from my ceiling Sat night, saw great reviews of BDP on Yelp and thought I'd give him a try. Gilbert greatly exceeded my expectations!

Water leaks can be stressful but he put me at ease. After several tests Sat night we couldn't find the cause. Sun I woke up to water again and he came back out quickly. He then determined it was the AC unit.

He didn't charge me over-time for the Sat night call and didn't charge me at all for Sundays visit! (even after I insisted)

He has great rates, is fun to work with and very reliable (answers phone, calls back promptly, shows up when he says he will). He's been a plumber for over 30 years and has owned his own business for a year. I'll definitely call him again as I'd like to see his practice continue to grow.

5:30 on Saturday afternoon. 6 wk old baby son fussy. Toilet and tub full of -ick-backwash water and it'll cost me at least $75 to rent a snake from Home Depot. Sigh. And I get to stick my arm in that? Ummm... lets look on Yelp for a plumber. Gil picked up on the third ring. Said he was in North Austin and was on the way. OMG. Awesome. And awesome he was. Snaked it out in about an hour.(I guess Daddy needs to know what is and is not flushable in the diapering department!)
He also let me know that the tree in my front yard that stands between my water meter and my house will become an issue eventually(if not already...) bummer. I like trees. BUT! when that day comes I will know who to call! Amazingly fast, great service and MUCH less than I would have thought for a weekend job... WORTH IT FOR NOT HAVING TO MESS WITH SEWER WATER!!!!! YAY! I can pee in my house again. Thanks to Gil and Blue Dragon. (Being the Year of the Dragon, this makes sense....)LOL

Gil was amazing. Out here in under twenty minutes after my call on a Sunday night at 8pm. Had a stoppage going from my house to the septic tank and he fixed in in under five minutes for a great price.

Can't recommend Blue Dragon and GIl enough. Very thankful to find this review....
