Jimmy Blanton established our company in 1993, initially focusing on heating and air services, and later adding a Spray Foam and Plumbing Department. In 1993, Jimmy B. started Blanton's Mechanical & Sons. He has grown the business, increasing the workforce and broadening our service offerings beyond just heating and air. He takes immense pride in his business, his team, and, most importantly, his clients. The main goal for Jimmy is ensuring customer satisfaction. When he is not on job sites, meeting clients, or in the office, you can find him spending time with his wife and two children.

Blanton and sons came during the week to fix our heat. We paid $1100 for a replacement part and labor. Our heat worked less than 16 days, until it was 30 degrees outside on a Sunday. They were going to charge $159 for a weekend appointment. This has the same problem it had before it was repaired. They called back and cancelled our Sunday appointment I believe because i said i would not pay the Sunday fee. This was terrible customer service. There are lots of reputable companies out there, and this one i would not recommend. I could undersand the Sunday charge if I hadn't paid them #1100 dollars 16 days ago and i'm having the same issues as before.

Great service. Very polite techs who clean up after themselves. Identify and solve problems effectively. Very happy.

Here was my experience with Blanton & Sons Plumbing. Made an appointment 5 days hence. Received a confirmation of appointment after I made it. Received a second confirmation of appointment the day before. On the day of waited for 3:15 pm appointment until 4:45 pm. No plumber. Called B&S. Not coming. Tried to get in touch with me 2-3 times the day of the appointment. No one answered. B&S cancelled the appointment without notifying me. I checked my Iphone. None of the following the day of the appointment from B&S: voicemail, email, text message. Thought this info might be useful to you if you need a plumber.

Of the many Heating and Air-conditioning services and vendors I've used, Blanton's associates are at the top, because they are knowledgeable, skillful thorough, friendly and helpful. They made sure the job was done correctly and that I was satisfied. They demonstrate competence and integrity, which are two main attributes that trust depends on. I used them recently to install a new AC and a generator. The latter, I knew nothing about installing. They got the job done and made it easier for me to use.

This was our first experience using Blanton's and we will not do so again. Before even having them out, we had issues scheduling with the customer service representatives. They didn't seem to understand my questions and had difficulty scheduling appointments. A technician was supposed to be at our house between 1-2 for a routine maintenance/check-up of our system because our AC was running fine, but we wanted to make sure it was in peak condition before summer. At 2:45 no one had come and no one had called. We called the company, and they said our technician would be out within 30 minutes. 2 hours later they finally showed up. They started maintaining the unit and then the time came to turn it back on and it would not turn on. They said it was a faulty switch that showed signs of burn marks and they would have to come back later to fix. When they came to give us our invoice, the technician apologetically said they had to charge us a diagnostic fee on top of the cleaning fee and will later charge us the replacement fees. We questioned this as it was working fine until they touched it and they said there was nothing they could do. While we could have been okay with the replacement fees for the part (even though it was fine until they touched it) to be charged an extra $100 to diagnose a problem they created is a slap to the face. We had requested a plumbing quote from them, but we will be taking our business elsewhere.

So we had Blanton's put in a new AC unit downstairs only to have it go out not a year into use. It's the middle of the summer in South Carolina pushing 100 degrees daily and they could not get out to look at it that day. That's reasonable, no problem even though my wife happens to be pregnant we can make it work. We had another company come out to diagnose the problem (that day mind you) and once the problem was diagnosed it was determined that it was under warranty and would be covered by Blanton's. When they (Blanton's) finally decided to show up, 3 separate appointments went by, each ending with them telling us that they didn't have the correct part and would have to come back another day. All this is understandable albeit a bit unprofessional and the technicians themselves were absolutely professional. However during the final appointment I received not a single call telling me when the technician would arrive, I had to call 3 separate times during a single day to see when they would be arriving. On the final call the woman on the phone stated that she wasn't calling me back because she thought I was rude and hung up on me. A call back resulted in the most unprofessional behavior from who I can only conclude was the manager or owner. I was called multiple names and generally treated like a lowlife. Oh and I was then hung up on again. I would do everything in my power to avoid this company. They operate under the guise of a """"Good old boy"""" family owned company but seem to treat their customers like a large cable company - maybe worse. He even threatened to cancel my warranty because we had another company come and diagnose the problem because they could not show up I sincerely hope that someone considering using them reads this as we have been without AC for almost 2 weeks. Please use another company, these people do not deserve your money and all of their positive google reviews smell fishy.

Had Mike and Findlay diagnose a few problems we were having , all corrected, with a few recommendations for the future , both great guys very professionally polite and friendly , bothe very knowledgeable!!!

My company has used Blanton's for years. They have always been very clean, courteous, and punctual. I would highly recommend them for commercial AC/heating units.

Graham Turner came out to check a couple of things on my Hvac system and I also hired the company to do semi annual maintenance. They were priced a bit higher than other companies but it's well worth it. They are so professional from the time the appointment was booked to reminding me of the appointment to contacting me to let me know the appointment might be a little later than originally planned. Then when he was on his way I got a text with a picture and bio. Graham was not rushed. He was very conscientious and thorough, providing me with pictures and answering all my questions. It's obvious he wants to please his customers and he did. Five stars all around.

My air conditioning system in my home wasn't working. I called Blantons & set up an appointment for early the next morning. A technician came out to my home on 3/08/16 & he was on time. After checking the system out the technician gave us an estimate for the services and he explained everything to my husband and I clearly. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. I was impressed by his professionalism. Also, I really liked that the technician wore the protective shoe bootie covers in my home, lol. I would use them again if I needed them.
