Blacktie plumbing was the only plumbing company that could come out after the snowstorm and replace our hot water heater in such a short amount of time. Daniel came out Monday afternoon and will able to get us a new 50 gallon water heater installed and brought our existing connections up to code. They also pulled permit permit and had the city inspector come out the following day, to verify the work and we pass with flying colors I highly recommend Blacktie Plumbing.

Blacktie just replaced our home water heater. Shopped around for price, ratings scores and services received. They were honest in their dealings and fair in their pricing. Daniel came out, on time, clean and masked. Very meticulous in his work! We have replaced this water heater ourselves in the past, so I know how to do the work and he did an excellent job! I could not have done it any better! 5 stars says it all, excellent!

Recently had a problem with my water heater that was old and needed to be replaced. They were able to get to me on the same day that I called and my bill was a little less than what I was quoted over the phone. They were very professional and courteous. Daniel and Trey were very nice and pleasan. I cannot tell you how grateful and thankful that Black Tie was the first company pick up the phone when I called. I left messages with 2 other companies. One called me back as Black Tie was finishing up and the other company called me back the next day.

They didn't even come out. After Augerpros bid such a ridiculous amount, I told Blacktie what I wanted done and how much I thought it was worth, and they scoffed at me and said they would charge even more than Auger Pros wanted. So, naaa, can't afford this kind of pricing. Maybe they get that kind of money working on commercial jobs, but not from me. I just can't pay $1,000 or more for simple repairs like that.

My foundation company, Perma-Pier basically told me they only accepted/trusted the work they could vouch for. So they wanted me to use Black Tie to perform a hydrostatic test before any foundation was repaired. This was supposed to be $150, but I was charged $500. They charged an additional $350 for a "leak detection" test that was never discussed or agreed upon. They then wanted to quote me $5000 to perform the slab repair with a "generous" discount of $1,700. I declined their work and asked for refunds because the worker never even completed the hydrostatic test (perhaps due to discovering the leak), but either way charged me for both without my permission or awareness. I used a different plumbing company that successfully did all the work without any argument for $1,700. A FRACTION and way less stress than what Black Tie had to offer. Scamming people out of money. Charging them for incomplete work. Then arguing about rightful refunds.

Just had someone out for a service call. First, he didn't call ahead 30 minutes prior to arrival as promised. We are in a global pandemic and he had no protective gear at all. As I began telling him, through my Ring doorbell, that I was uncomfortable having someone in my home under these circumstances, he just walked away, got in his truck and drove off. Of course there is no human being to speak to, as all numbers go to voice mail.

The plumber that came over to fix our water heater was excellent. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Even my mom, who is rarely impressed by anyone, thinks he is great. Will use him again for future problems.
