1st time using Black Mountain Plumbing and what a great experience. If you call them request Daniel he's who did my job. Fast, efficient & on budget.

Great Company. First time I've used Black Mountain Plumbing and will not be the last. Daniel was very professional and very detailed. I highly recommend using Black Mountain Plumbing

What a great experience!!! Everyone that I had an interaction with was friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to communicate with me when it came to fixing my problem. They took an unfortunate event and made it enjoyable. Travis and Adam were great!!! I will definitely be using these guys again in the future!!!

I was impressed with the online scheduling and the call back after. I communicated to you that I needed the job just done. If I didn't, I would have had to pay $117 for an estimate? I'm assuming that is your hourly rate, and I feel that is bad business to charge someone for an estimate. I work in the commercial construction industry, and this is a seedy business practice that is not used. If that is indeed the hourly rate, my job, including the 30 min driving time, took about 1.5 hours.. I was charged $247 dollars, that was after a $20 discount. The parts for what needed to be done in particular are about $30, retail. I know this because I tried to fix this myself. So, let's say 47 in parts, which is high, I got charged $200, for labor, for a job that took less then 1.5 hours (that's being time generous). This is super expensive. If I would have known, and didn't have sense of urgency not to waste water, I probably would have shopped a little bit. I relied on yelp, which also gave average reviews. Did the job get done, yes. Was it cost effective for me to pay the rates that I did? Not so much. I was going to ask the cost to change out my tub, but decided not to, knowing that it would be out of my price range. Plus, I don't have an extra $117 for a quote.
4/17- Scott, thank you for the reply, however, I'm not married, so there is no way you left a message for my husband. Plus, if the woman called you initially, why wouldn't you follow-up with her??? The parts that I used were not knock off, but actually almost the exact same that you used. I feel you were way off base on your response, although appreciated.

Daniel and Scott were fantastic. They were punctual, professional and were all around great people. They effectively diagnosed and explained our plumbing issues in a way that was easy to understand and even provided us a free consultation to give us the most accurate quote. Their personal touch to their work went above and beyond as Scott, the owner, came to our house to offer his guidance and work with Daniel to fix our problems. Daniel offered that we could request him personally if any additional problems arise. Great work, great customer service - I would highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

Service was quick and professional. They were on time and called before arriving to ensure I would be available. Thanks Daniel.

Excellent service. Fast and efficient. Fixed a toilet leak and helped with water pressure issues in about 1 hour. Daniel and Larry were great.

Buyer Be Ware! The guy came out and told me he charged $117 an hour for labor with an hour minimum. He diagnosed the problem in about 15 minutes and spent about another 30 minutes fixing the problem. He told me it would cost $216 to repair the leak so one would expect to pay $216 right. No, after the job was done he added $117 and $216. On the receipt, it said he was at my house for a total of 48 minutes.
After the fact, I called other places and they said they'd charge $145 for labor and materials to fix that type repair, no fee to diagnose the problem. Looked up online the national average for fixing each pinhole leak and $140 to $160 is average. The high of $160 was for cities such as Chicago and New York. That's not the best part. If we would had gone with their restoration service associates, we would have gotten ripped off twice.
They called their associates Quick Dry Flood Service for me to come out and get us a ""Free"" estimate on how much it would cost to dry out the area and treat for mold, oh yes, the dreaded mold. BM Plumbing tried to scare me by saying if insurance companies find mold that you didn't take care of they may not take care of future claims. Several times they suggested ""we may want to file a claim with our insurance company. ""AAA is really good about claims"", ... Quick Dry has meters that can tell you how much moisture is under your sink, in the walls, under the ceramic tile. So I had Quick Dry come out and they gave us an ""Emergency Estimate total of $2,284! Now that is after their 20% discount. How nice of them. They told me that price was if I paid out of pocket instead of filing a claim with my insurance company. So the amount they bill our insurance company would be more? AAA was very good about claims. They probably wouldn't even come out to do an estimate on this one. They were surprised I didn't have them start right away. Even got a call after they left from someone else from Quick Dry asking why I didn't have them start the work and is there anything they could do to get our business.
My husband came home and took out the sink base, surrounding dry wall and opened up the entire area. Less than 24 hours later, there is only one 14"" piece of pressure treated wood next to the slab that has moisture in it and no mold. Quick Dry wanted to charge us $1200 alone for 4 Extra Large Dehumidifiers and $280 for 4 Turbo Air -movers plus several other miscellaneous charges to come up with their $2,284. We had a small area rug in the bathroom I can throw in the washer but they were going to charge me $150 to clean it. My advice is shop around and don't let companies like these scare you into spending more or filing a claim for services if you really don't need it. Get a second opinion if you have to. Don't let them take advantage. I bet they really love working with at home Moms and Little Old Ladies.
Shop around!

My 92 year old WW2 veteran father had a plumbing problem first diagnosed by Bill Howe who claimed he needed a complete new sewer drainage system at a cost of $75,000. Had I not intervened on my father's behalf he would have paid them to proceed. Rather, I got online and checked out YELP and Angie's list for plumbers with high customer service ratings. Honestly, you can't get one with perfect ratings, but Black Mountain was rated MUCH higher than Bill Howe...and for good reason. I contacted them and they sent Dave out the same day. Dave was very respectful of my father and didn't try to strong arm us into unneeded work. As a matter of fact he thought it might have been fixed very i expensively based on some initial scoping by camera. Eventually, it was determined that there were 3 fail points in his system. Long story short, it was repaired for $21,000 less than the Bill Howe estimate. Dave was awesome and all the BMP folks I encountered were incredibly kind and responsive. Scott, the owner, obviously sets the bar high for his company by hiring great employees. Another point, BMP plumbers ARE NOT commissioned like Bill Howe plumbers. Really??? Do you want your plumbing estimate prepared by a guy on commission? I recommend BMP if you have the misfortune of having a plumbing problem. If you're really lucky, you'll get Dave! Seriously, I will bet all BMP plumbers are good.

Daniel and Larry came to our house to replace our water heater today. They were professional, efficient and friendly. They worked well as a team and finished the task quite fast with little inconvenience to our household. I would recommend Black Mtn. Plumbing to my friends and family. Thank you Black Mtn and your employees!!
