For 15 minutes of work to install a gas valve, they charged $225 which was a total rip-off. They refused to give a quote over the phone despite sending a clear picture of what needed to be installed.

Great response time from Solomon, who was polite, efficient and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, and all ended well. It's also good to know that BMP carry warranteed Bradford White water heater parts, so I know whom to call in case of future trouble. Based on this encounter, I would recommend Black Mtn Plumbing and will call them again in case of (inevitable) plumbing issues. Thanks, Solomon, for your wisdom!

They haven't completed the work yet, but our scheduled to this week. So helpful to have them do an overall house inspection for plumbing issues. Very thorough, knowledgeable, and informative. Great with communication from the office as well as the plumber. Really enjoying my experience so far.

Robert went out of his way to help me with a DIY project. He took the time to explain the options to me, supplied me with a proprietary part I couldn't get on my own as a consumer, and even helped negotiate a warranty return when one of those parts turned out to be bad (no fault of Black Mtn Plumbing). I really appreciate how he did this when he could've outright refused or insisted on making a service call. I try to do a lot of my own repair work, and it's rare to find this level of helpfulness from a service provider. If you're not confident (or masochistic) enough to take on a DIY plumbing problem, I highly recommend Black Mountain Plumbing.

We called them for emergency service for a simple clogged kitchen sink drain on a Saturday morning at 11am. I told them I want it done today. They said they can make it at 4-5pm. They said $200 fee just to come out, then $250/hr. Crazy high, but I was busy and didn't feel like getting a bunch of quotes -- so I said ok. At least they'll show up since I'm paying am arm and a leg right?

Wrong. An hour before they were supposed to show up, they called to tell me they can't make it and have to reschedule for tomorrow. Does this company not understand what emergency service is? You have to wait half a day to tell me you can't come? And it was scheduled for 4pm -- you can't unclog a drain at 7pm? 8pm? 10pm? What is the $200 emergency fee for? If you're double booked and too busy just let your customers know so they can call someone else who can come -- that's why I asked for emergency service!

But ok, I get it. Things just get crazy sometimes, but you'll never guess what they said next. They said they can reschedule me for tomorrow -- I said ok fine, then they said, we're going to need your credit card number right now for the $200 emergency fee! I was like... what do you mean? You're the one rescheduling -- you're going to charge me? They said, if they're on their way tomorrow and I cancel, they will charge me the $200.

Are these people serious? I called for emergency service and agreed to exorbitant prices. They couldn't deliver on fast service, wasted my day, tried to reschedule AND attempt to lock in their $200. They were only interested in the $200 and my needs as their customer were the last thing on their mind.

I had a feeling that this would drag on till Monday because that's just the vibe I got so I politely declined. I called up another company who showed up on time the first thing in the morning and got it done quick. And no surprise -- the other company charged waaaaay less even for emergency service.

To management -- here's a hint. If someone calls you for emergency service they want it done quick. If you probably can't make it, just tell them to call someone else. If something unexpected happened and you can't make it, tell them you're sorry, that you'll be there first thing next morning, and wave the emergency fee because YOU MESSED UP and YOU INCONVENIENCED YOUR CUSTOMER who could have had their problem fixed already by someone else. Your company did the opposite of that and instead was only thinking about yourself and tried to lock in the emergency fee. lol what a joke.

Flooding sewer pipe. On a Saturday. 90 minute response from Solomon. A great representative for this company. Was quick, very polite and even more helpful. Charged a fair price for a great job. Didn't mind explaining things and made sure we were comfortable with his work and the job.
Again this company has not disappointed after many years. Honest and great work for a fair price.

Solomon replaced the water pressure regulator with internal bypass, and soldering. 1 Year Parts and Labor Warranty. We like this company. Smooth transaction and service every time.

I can't say enough good things about BMP!!! Called yesterday about shower leak, corroded knobs, Dayne came today and far exceeded my expectations. Not only did he fix my leak and knobs, but problem solved other water issues I was having. Great work!!!!! Price was very fair, too. I'm a senior and so relieved to have found a company I can trust.
