Setting up the appointment couldn't be easier! The plumber came out on time, fixed the problem with my toilet bowl stopper and couldn't have been more courteous. I was 5 minutes late and he waited for me and even offered to reschedule when I told him I was running behind. Would not hesitate to recommend Black Mountain to anyone!

Solomon from Black Mountain replaced our garbage disposal yesterday. Very professional job, including replacing undersized existing drain pipes, etc. for the previously agreed to flat rate. May not be the least expensive, but definetly the best

Ripped off! They said they can do free estimate, but told me the estimate is $125 after they came to my place.

Black Mountain came out last August to our rental, last minute and on a holiday to fix a silly mistake I'd made on the water intake valve in the laundry room. Very courteous, walked me through the repair and even gave me some instruction for future/similar problems.

If you've had to hire a plumber lately you know that doing this can be hazardous to your financial health.
On a recent Saturday morning a shower handle in a rental property I own broke when the tenants tightened it too hard. This caused a steady flow of water to begin pouring out of the faucet and the broken handle could not control it. After the tenants called me and reported the situation I randomly chose Black Mountain Plumbing out of the phone book. It was a fortunate choice; BMP worked with me to try to save me money from the start of the engagement until the end.
The plumber I spoke with that Saturday morning told me that since it was Saturday I would be charged time and a half, and if I could turn the water to the house off and wait until Monday I could save around $160.00. (Their normal hourly rate is $167.00 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. At time and a half this rate increases to about $250.00 per hour). I spoke with the tenants about this and showed them how to turn the water to the house on and off and they were OK with this plan so we scheduled the work for Monday morning.
I was leaving on a vacation that Monday morning, and I spoke with Kathy at BMP before I left. She agreed to work with my tenants while I was out of town, which I appreciated very much. She also arranged to have the BMP plumber call me while I was on the road with the estimated cost after he had looked at the situation and determined what needed to be done before he started any work.
The plumber determined it was a broken cylinder and he could replace it for around $300.00. I authorized him to proceed. Later that day he called me to report that replacing the cylinder had not fixed the problem; water was still flowing out of the faucet and it looked like I would also need to have the shower valve replaced at a cost of $900 - $1200. He said he could get the valve in a day or so. I authorized him to proceed with that work as well.
Now here's where it gets interesting: I received another call from BMP a short time later, and they told me that they have found that many of the new cylinders of the type I had just had replaced were defective. Before they would replace the shower valve they were going to get another cylinder, remove the one they had just installed, and replace it with a different new one. This worked and it fixed the problem. My total cost for all the plumbing work they performed was $309.00.
This experience illustrates how vulnerable consumers can be to unscrupulous plumbers. I could easily have been taken advantage of by the plumber going ahead and installing the valve unnecessarily. He could have simply replaced the new defective cylinder with a second new one that worked and then replaced the valve as well, charging me that extra $900-$1200. I never would have known about the defective cylinders. So I commend BMP for their honesty and integrity in this situation, and I will call them again if I have plumbing issues.

We just had Larry from Black Mountain Plumbing come out and fix a clog and a leaking trap under out kitchen sinks. We are very pleased with his attitude and workmanship.

I am so surprised to see good reviews on this company. I got totally ripped off. They also left me a mess, my experience was terrible and I would never used them again. $525.00 to put in 2 bathroom faucets, I supplied faucets not them!

I was referred to Black Mountain Plumbing from a friend and couldn't be more satisfied with the service. David my service specialist was friendly, on time, and the quotes were exactly what they told me on the phone when I order my service. I will continue to use Black Mountain Plumbing in the future.

Robert and Solomon did a bunch of work in our house. Robert came out to give an estimate and they were quite a bit less expensive than either of the other two people we got bids from. Robert was also obviously very knowledgeable, which helped us be confident the work was going to be good. They did the work last week and it all seems to be excellent quality. I'll definitely call them again.

I had an excellent experience with Black Mountain Plumbing today from the call to schedule an appointment to the prompt, professional and friendly service I received. They did a thorough inspection and addressed my concerns. I'll definitely call them again.
